Stop beating yourself up ‘We all stumble in many ways.’ James 3:2 NIV (2011 Edition) When you sin, God’s Spirit will convict you of your need to repent and change your ways. But until you get your glorified body in heaven, you’re always going to deal with sin. The apostle James wrote, ‘We all stumble in many ways.’ But falling down isn’t what makes you a failure - it’s staying down! Get back up, dust yourself off, receive God’s grace, learn from the experience, and move on. The Bible says, ‘There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus’ (Romans 8:1 NIV 2011 Edition). God is not condemning you, so stop condemning yourself. A few decades ago, people used to wear a little badge with the letters GNFWMY. It meant, ‘God’s not finished with me yet.’ And He’s not finished with you either. Sometimes we’re guilty of doing the wrong thing with the right motive. For example, in 1957 Ford Motors described the new Edsel as ‘the car of the decade’. Try telling that to all those drivers whose doors wouldn’t close, whose horns stuck, and whose transmissions failed! And remember the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, where the architect designed a 10-foot-deep foundation for a 179-foot-tall building? How’d you like to have that on your CV? The fact is, the most talented people often make the biggest mistakes. Solomon wrote, ‘There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins’ (Ecclesiastes 7:20 NIV 1984 Edition). And Paul added, ‘I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize’ (Philippians 3:12 CEV). So, stop beating yourself up. Shalom |
Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. The question is not when He's coming, but if you are prepared like the wise virgin. |

God is not the one ruling the world. The rate of sin in the world is license for the devil until his time finishes at rapture (Rev 12:12) 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. |

Questions like this really makes me understand the Bible better. KinzyeWriter:my answer The question was very tricky and yea, the nigga accused me of running away from his thread as though I viewed it before then, the thread actually had a controversial title which I felt would never happen, because to a large degree, not everyone would really see God face to face as he claimed he would have an excuse before God, what came to my mind was, that's if you actually see God, even Moses begged to see His glory. Back to BusinessThe bone of contention is that Jesus never left the city of Bethlehem Was baby Jesus life threatened in Jerusalem?Bethlehem was the place of Jesus birth. Your Bad Yes, so Joseph fled with him to Egypt and stayed there until Herod died (Matthew 2:13 23)So correct, but I can't tell if it was immediately, a week later, a month later or 5 month later this fleeing happened No. The family fled nowhere. They calmly presented the child at the Jerusalem temple according to the Jewish customs and returned to Galilee (Luke 2:21-40)I agree with you that the Bible said they returned to Galilee and you should notice by now that Jerusalem is some distance from Bethlehem Judea, evidently some distance apart. So they travelled to Jerusalem to present Jesus at the temple some days after his circumcision. Let's say a 9 months so to say. Okay, am sorry, 1 year. But I want to establish one fact, the wise men(not three) came all the way from the east following the star and they went to Jerusalem firstly before going to Bethlehem Judea where Jesus was born. Evidently, it was the day Jesus was born, that the Wiseman arrived at Jerusalem to see Herod and then travel to Bethlehem Judea before they met Jesus. But note that an Angel appeared to the Wiseman, telling them not to return to Herod, cause the consequence could have led to the immediate death of Jesus, but that was Mission Impossible because the Angel appeared Now, this is my submissionThe bolded especially Matt 2:16This verse shows that Herod last seen of the Wiseman was about two years. I would say, the Angel that appeared to Joseph must have appeared after the presentation of Jesus to the temple and their return to Galilee seeing that those that were killed, were killed according to the time the Wiseman were seen, meaning that, it was for more than 1 year and let's say 11 months that Herod saw the Wiseman. So, many waters could have passed under the bridge you know 13And I guess some divine influence made him forget as the same divine power kept the delivering Moses inside Pharaoh palace and he was enjoy cartoon network and Up Man U inside the office of the CIA directors office, with his legs crossed and confirm Apple juice, blood of Moses, am salivating already. An2elect2:You mean salvation can also be demonized also. Because of the excessive preaching of it. Only God gives this things. Moreso, tongues is used for prayer and intercession if you mind. Romans 8:26-27 and 1 corin 14:4,14-15. Tongues builds and edifies Jude 1:20, 1 corin 14:4 About Paul saying 10000 words and five words. If I tell you that Paul was addressing exactly what he said in 1 Corin 14:40 would hint you, well, verse 39 might shock you also. But what should I say about what Paul said, the. letter was written to address an abnormaly which came to the knowledge of Paul. I think its a pointless course. Bye |
KinzyeWriter:okay, I have a thread I created that made FP that I have not yet attended to. Lemme just say, I might not really have that much time to attend to many things at once. And I think the main reason I talk about things like this is basically to renew the mindset of the readers or viewers. I would check the mention, probably you said something that made me stop the talk. I'm not here to prove a point to anyone that is bent on not listening. Only interested fellas #Matt5:6 |
pressplay411:Paul said I speak in tongues more than ye all. In another place, Jude 1:20, it says building up yourself on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Another one said, he that prayeth in an unknown tongue edify himself. Romans 8:26 said, likewise the spirit helpeth our infirmities, because we do not know how to pray as we ought to. Lemme ask, how do intercede for countries like China and Pakistan where they need our prayer save by the spirits interference. I understand a part of speaking in tongues should address foreigners, that aspect is not under my control. If God want to use me to help get a message across in another language, left to Him, if otherwise, left to Him not me. The spirit controls all this things, but you won't understand. But the Bible talks about using tongues as a form of prayer. 1 Corin 14:14-15 14 KJV:For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful 15 KJV:What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. Romans 8:26 26 KJV:Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 1 corin 14:4 KJV:He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. Jude 1:20 20 KJV:But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, |

OtemAtum:You mean yahweh gave birth Which yahweh, Not our own Yahweh.Ehmmm, about those that belong to God, like I would always say, the devil took authority or hijacked the earth from man. God gave authority to man, sin brought a barrier between God and man. So, God had to send Jesus to destroy sin, so we can go back to God. Before then, they offered sacrifices but on a yearly basis to cover their sins. 1 John 5:19 KJV:And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. Luke 4:6 KJV:And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it |
Many are still confused and scared when this topic is mentioned. Many claim the gifting is this and that. Well, I would just share my personal view about speaking in tongues and the things I have newly discovered about the gifting haven been a skeptic. I created a thread initially which is more detailed on the topic, but I plan on making this one a bit short and precise. https://www.nairaland.com/3885358/spiritual-experiences-encountered-christian Okay, many times when I pray in tongues, I feel the words coming out from inside me as supposed to the gibberish many term it as. Jesus said in John 8:37-39 37 KJV:In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 KJV:He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 KJV But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) |
pressplay411:Well, am sorry to say this, I personal speak in tongues, moreso, I was a skeptic like you, but lemme just say, I speak as the Holy Spirit giveth me utterance. If I try to speak it on my own accord, I won't enjoy it, moreso I would get tayad easily. I have prayed in tongues for hours and I can say on the average, 3-4 hours and I would say I love it and I don't feel I'm forcing myself to mutter words or something. It was so easy to pray this way, not to talk about the fragrance that comes with the presence of God that you just don't wanna let go of when I pray in tongues |
shadeyinka:I was debating a JW along this line some days ago, and I happen to ask the same question. but he waved it. Something was telling me on the inside that such would be happening. Though this thread just happen to affirm my claim. I wonder why anyone would want to suffer so much in this present world, knowing he can put an end to his or her suffering and it all ends there. Its like saying, if I sweep my room, I won't be arrested. But sweeping becomes very hard a thing to do, when I know I would be arrested, I would be careful how I sweep. pls, sir or ma, if you have any means of exposing this JW folks, I would advise it would be a just one cause many people and supposedly, generations to come would fall into such menace. |
blingxx:even seun and lalasticlala would see no need to move a dumb thread as this to FP, why is that, because no present prove of the adherence of any Christian to the supposed verse, unlike the blood thirsty 72 virgin seeking sheeple in another religion who pray ceaselessly to a one direction black stone, and claim they would be rewarded according to their religious book. |
0temAtum:Well, Goliath was a threat to the children of God, all thanks to David though, but I guess there are a lot of thing you must understand before you understand Christianity. Lemme just say, God looks at our spirit, if the spirit in there is not one with God, whatever spirit that resides on their inside would determine the action God enforces. I see nothing bad in God appointing David to kill a disobedient set of individual, who are neck bent on trying to prevent that which God has planned aforetime. By the way, if God enforces the killing, there is no sin in it, because God choses who and determines who is a sinner and who's not |

I guess I had an audience for the thread. @bellooyin aaccountable1, chasethecash it's a write up for those caught in the curb web, (both in the past and presently) which I termed religion, I used the term inconsistency or networks of cables(confused set of personnels, clueless personnel, set of blinded folks led by the blind- religious preachers esp the Jehovah Witness and the Mary Mary folks), who really love God but the best their preacher could still offer them is religion(manmade way of worship which God doesn't delight in), and I also used the word clueless. Still talking about religion. Later, I talked about having a true experience of who God is and I broke free from religion. Religion is man-made. Religion is a curb web many Christians are caught up in, eventually those who have experienced religion, turn out been worse when they it would be expected they better off. I guess I wrote it and I could understand it better the more I look into it. |
Spider webs are networking of cables usually used in referring to those who are often time seemingly clueless. I have tasted and experienced the gift of God and the awesomeness of the Holy Spirit and I can say, this is the real deal. Well, I was an ignorant fool, enslaved by religion. Religion is not Gods program for man. Man desiring control and success often time are caught in the curbweb of Churches, esp when the seemingly serious once whose believes are haphazard in nature, seemingly portray themselves as the real deal and. other things fall to place.. |
