The all time complain about Nigerian girls having high taste even when they are jobless is getting out of hands.

I met a girl in school sometime, we were friends for a while before we decided to date.

One time, she told me she was hungry, I suggested we go to a popular food canteen in school to eat, I was already a graduate then carrying out my final clearance while she was in second year, she declined going to the canteen and suggested chicken republic, reason is she doesn't like the food there. This is a canteen where the low and mighty go to eat in school.

Well, not that I didn't have the money but I felt it was odd, someone two drinks garri in her hostel has an opinion about eating spot.

We later drove to the nearby chicken republic in school and bought food in packs of 4,300 each totaling about 9k.

She told me about how one guy usually takes her to chicken republic and even asks her to take away a pack after eating there.

I asked her, does the guy buy for himself? She said No, that the guy doesn't like rice, that the guy prefers Eba� Lol


So I tried to explain to her, do you know how much a pack of rice, chicken, salad and moi moi with Ice cream costs?

She said No.

Okay, this thing costs from 2k and above, if that guy buys you a pack to eat there and another for takeaway, he has spent about 5k, how much is his weekly allowance as a student if he spends 5k on a seating with you?

On a second thought? Which human prefers Eba and egusi soup to rice and spiced Chicken?

During the analysis, she was quiet, I further asked her if she knew how many days she could go if she asked for the 4k to cook instead of eating rice and chicken once and going home to drink garri till God knows when.

Most times, I think it's lack of knowledge and “long throat” that's bedeviling our girls, you keep fantasizing over little things, things you could get for yourself at the right time.

One time this babe called me that she wants to eat pizza, well, of a truth, I haven't tasted pizza even as I type this, I wasn't born with a silver spoon so I don't fantasize over rubbish things, I told her I can't buy her that cause I haven't tasted it myself.

Girls too can't even ask their fellow girls what they ask guys, You don't give me sex, you know nothing about me, I'm not your family member, and you even try to get angry when I don't give you money, no be juju by that?.

Girls don't even know the responsibility a guy has to shoulder, as a guy, your immediate family, mum, siblings and dad are all there, your guys and yourself too yet they go about asking for irrelevant things senselessly.

This week have been crazy, I took alot of advice from this page and was minding my business, I called him on Saturday to come pick the kids because I deserve rest, he said he would prefer coming to the house to see them, he came I cooked and we all ate around 5 he picked up some clothes and left.

He kept calling to talk about things in general and I was responding fine. My kids got sick on Sunday (night fever) and I spent all night tepid sponging and administering drugs.

On Sunday night, he went out with his infamous friend when I called him around 10 he was still out (something he hardly do) when he got back he called and we got talking one thing led to another and I still asked him about the text message and the girl as usual he kept on hammering on how he doesn't owe me any explanation. I told him that if he doesn't give me an explanation I would have to call the girl directly, he cut the call and I actually called her.

When I asked her where she went with my husband the lady told me that my husband saw that she was interested in tech event and took her there on that Saturday, he actually went to pick her up (lol).

I asked her how did she know everything about his business and why would she want to work for him for free, she said my husband normally come to his friends office and when he is not around he do strike up conversation with her and tell her all about his business and she was interested in growing it (lol).

She got very uncomfortable and started talking about how she is a minister in her church (I actually bursted out laughing at this point), she said a whole lot of things contradicting everything my husband told me, he was even talking with her since he left the house.

It’s funny how you want to get a job now, learn driving and go to the gym cause divorce is around the corner, what stopped you from doing any of this all this while? This is actually what it means to be a good wife, having a job, taking care of your shape and doing things for yourself.

Imagine the different times your husband, even if he was tired would have to drive you cause you don’t know how to drive, imagine how much weight and pot belly you have developed all along and it’s now you want to visit the gym, imagine you have been jobless and contribute little or nothing economically to the marriage since.

And you call all of the above being a good wife?what excuse do you have as why you didn’t do these things since? The children? Are the children all dead now? You cook and clean the house? Won’t the house be cleaned now?

This is the problem in marriages, women lazy around and allow the man labor to death, when you say jack they remind you about house chores, most of them start looking for jobs to cater for their kids when the man suddenly stops breathing (dead)

If you had a job, went to the gym and could drive yourself all this while, I don’t think you would even have the time to monitor your husbands movement. If you did, maybe now you will be talking about expanding your business or investment, not do what you should have done years ago, you are looking for a job? Who employs an old fat lazy lady that can’t even write a coherent story to manage his business?

This is not right, a 17 y old in Nigeria is incapable of making right decisions, she would regret this later, more over, isn’t this a case of child abuse? I thought 18 was the adult age in Nigeria ? Call your sister and talk to her like a brother, if she refuses to listen, meet the young man one on one and threaten him, if you see him in your compound use cutlass and chase him, if your sister runs to him as she would, get the man arrested for child molestation, stand your ground as a man, I have witnessed cases like this before and it never ends well, before she realizes, it would have become to late, there is more to life than the dick of a 40 years old man.

Una go just dey find excuse to stay idle, since you will struggle to earn 200k in web, let me see another skill you will learn that will earn you 500k monthly in 4 years from now.


What you all don’t understand is that if you are good with a skill, money will surely flow, btw, programming is not for kids, if you are earning 200k as a web developer and you are really good at what you do, a single contract to develop a website can earn you from 500k and above.

One thing with tech is that you can start earning immediately you have projects to show, even if it’s collaborative projects, when you start your learning, learn with projects you can show to employers.

I have earned 400k in only the month of January in UX design alone from just 2 clients. And I’m leaving Ux design for Mobile sef.

I’m expecting 2 mobile contracts to develop apps for them, each is worth 1.5m and I’m sure at least one must click. When I started learning, I used udemy and downloaded courses, I found it difficult to follow some tutors like max, l left his course and downloaded Angela yu, at some point during learning I paused and asked myself if I was really intelligent like I have always believed, I spent 2 weeks learning how to use row and column in same screen, but today, I look back and smile, those are really little things and not anywhere as complex and difficult as I thought, all I needed was time to grasp the concepts, syntax and all.

Get hold of your self and start now, stop procrastinating and jumping from one place to another.

We have few of them advertising on Nairaland too. How could you be telling your students they will know how to develop a website or Application after 6 months of learning a language. This is just a pure scam!! What pained me the most is the high price they charged?? Whey everything dey online for free if you're not lazy to research, read documentations of the language you want to learn and practice a lot of coding excercise.
Instead of paying them such huge money. I will use it to buy a good laptop, wifi, office table and chair to sit while coding and good food to eat.
90% of world programmers are hardworking self taught programmers.

At the bolder is actually true, if after 6 months of comprehensive study and you can’t design a basic website or app, then software engineering is not for the person, I’m talking from experience chief, html and css can be learnt in one month of comprehensive study.

With html and css you can already build a website but without functionality then imagine learning JavaScript for 5 months. It’s very possible.

Sorry for posting this here..but I really need answers because I don't understand what is going on here.. So I decided I wanted to learn computer programming so I started searching for where I could acquire the skill. I can across these guys yesterday but I would not mention their names here.. I asked how much it would cost to study software engineering because its a six months course..could you believe how much these guys mentioned for me? 850k...yes that right #850,000 and that's not all it still goes as far as 1.7million naira..

Please If i may ask, computer gurus in the house.. Is there any way this prices are justifiable? Because I don't get..

Software engineering is expensive to learn, how do you expect people to rent an office space, employ software engineers to teach and pay them salary, equip office space, buy fuel and on Ac for you for six months and charge you less than this?

Total package for decagon is 3.2m for Six months too, except that they will be aiding you in job search.

If you want to learn and you don’t have the funds, discipline yourself and stay indoors, subscribe to YouTube and learn, stop being emotional about everything, they are not the reason you are a poor mans son, even if you study computer science in school for 10 years, you won’t know jack without self discipline and research.
