muri4mig:Please enlighten me on the location of Chatham house. Is it in Ikeja, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano or Awka. What states in our federation, do the members of Chatham house own their origin. Which of our notable and dignified individuals was present at the conference in Chatham House. On what television network, was the conference aired, for easy access to Nigerians. Chatham house owns its allegiance supposedly to the international community and not us. This is not 1960. Whatever promise, he made there is only binding on the members of Chatham house, due to the Chatham house rule. We take as his word, what was said, here in Nigeria, not in some foreign NGO tea committee. |
This is coming from a man who on liveTv(ChannelsTV) said he and his entire party, could not peruse or read through a 2800 pages dossier. Only an educated illiterate or a full blown illiterate will take as fact the statement of such a man. The President, has done NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING, period. |
PMB's most likely scorecard Agriculture: 0% Health care: 0% Electricity: 0.5%(body language) Immigration: 0% Education: 0% Labour: 0% Foreign affairs: 25% Transportation: 0% Economy: 0% Petroleum: 0% Tourism: 0% Taxation: 0% Infrastructural development: 0% Corruption: 4% Law: 3% |
Pierocash:Dakuku peterside will be the next govenor, just like Mauritania will win the world cup in 2018. Dream on. |
debeo:You don't think the current dispensation is working at a 100%, but you also don't want the likes of Barcanista to highlight the mistakes made by the APC administration. "You don't send". Don't worry when the Recession hits next year, you will send more than UPS. In truth, nothing positive has been done by this administration, because the APC government, has done absolutely NOTHING. |
madridguy:I sympathize with you. It must be really strenuous, holding brief for a government, that does nothing to make your job a little easier. They are making you work for every kobo. |
obailala:The PDP, organised a debate, the APC were a no show. The PDP may have had issues, with APC's brand of politics, but except exchanging heated words, did nothing physical and extremist against them. If the shoe had been, on the other foot, PMB would not allow an opposition party the air to grow into a major stumbling block in its part to consolidating its control. And also, in 2019, if PMB suffers a defeat, we will see how, the Gandhi President will handle his loss and handover. Also, Ochejosephs analysis of the asset declaration, was rather informative and well put together. If you didn't garner any knowledge from it, that's your problem. And Dunsman posted Barcanista's analysis of the President's asset declaration from his Facebook page on Nairaland. |
POWEROFPEACE:A notable difference between this administration and the last, is that while the latter planted crops in the midst of weeds, which ended up making harvest sort of hard, the former is neither planting or weeding, but only lying to the other farmers that he is still weeding. |
My younger brother went to the immigration office to get his passport for his trip. In order to get through all the bureaucracy, which can be so strenuous and exhausting, he had to cough out a lot of money to get it, without the regular hassle. So, tell me, OP, what institution, is PMB cleaning. The FCDA, immigration, customs and all other agencies are currently swarmed in massive corruption. Also, its important, for people to ask the necessary questions now, so as to keep the government on their toes. Or do you prefer a totalitarian, silent society. |
NgeneUkwenu:And this thread is supposed to be different. A reclusive commentator opened a thread, simply to celebrate the fact, that his most competitive rival is gone. This is archetypal of the APC. They are so afraid of competition and any sort of polemics, they screech and scream, till the rival pity's them and moves along. The PDP, on the other hand, relish competition and love to go head to head with opposition of any order. You guys need to get over your inferiority complex. Like seriously, its kinda sad |
This thread, belongs in the trash can. A long epistle, which can be summed up in one word: FACADE. |
Kudos to Fashola and the overtly incompetent ACN government. This is their own version of dividends of democracy. I pity the fool, who thinks this administration, will best that of the GEJ government. It will take, ten PMBs and fifteen Fasholas to fill the shoes of GEJ. |
Why should he respect a leader, who excludes him, as the NGF chairman, from major decisions. A leader, who after all the pomp and pageantry of his integrity status, goes behind the back of his party officials to put together his kitchen cabinet, at an ungodly hour. A leader, who treats him as a doormat, and only pretends to consult him for advice, when the cameras are on. No one, would respect such a leader. |
Govenor Udom, should thread softly. This dispensation, is headed by a stickler for indiscipline, impropriety and maladministration. |
Quick question: When did Chatham house become the representatives of over 170 million Nigerians. Whatever the President said in Chatham house should stay in Chatham house. That was a speech meant for Obama, David milband, the UN and NATO. The covenant made between the President, his party officials, media team and all Nigerians is what should be taken into retrospect, and not a show and tell function at a foreign luncheon. |
lolaxavier:If interested parties, can ask for a humanitarian and philantrophist like Dangote to be investigated, why isn't anyone asking for a probe into the President's altruist past. |
Northeocracy and compensation politics at work. |
And Amaechi, is still waltzing about, claiming that no one can touch him. What has Tompolo done of late to warrant this sort of special attention from the EFCC |
I'm still waiting for someone to ask the investigative agencies to launch an investigation into the $2.8 billion, that was reported stolen, under the President's watch as the petroleum minister in General Obasanjo's regime. Also since this is a dispensation, focused on investigations, it wouldn't be too much of a problem, to start a thorough investigation into what transpired during the Abacha regime. The likes of the defunct PTF, operation sweep, vision 2010 amongst a host of other projects should be investigated, so as to give us insight into why a government, that had the likes of our Gandhi president failed to reform and restructure the power sector, failed to revamp the moribund petroleum industry, did nothing to help the plight of our health sector, failed to construct state of the art road networks in all regions of the country and also failed to boost the economy with a breakaway from the monoeconomy practices that was prevalent then. The President, should do the appropriate thing, and write to the EFCC and ICPC on this. |
Consultations with who? The same set of leaders who could not influence his choice of candidates in his kitchen cabinet. Let's not kid ourselves here. Boys like Tinubu, Akande and Okorocha, are not leaders, but are better referred to as the chorus boys committee. No right thinking individual will consult advice on any issue, including what sort of toilet paper to use, with the chorus boys. So, put accurately, "THE PRESIDENT HAS FINISHED ASSIGNING LUCRATIVE PORTFOLIOS TO HIS FAIRWEATHER MINISTERIAL SUBJECTS". |
Ayobami Oyelowo, of the APC youth, on live TV( ChannelsTV) sunrise weekly, could not find the word "VACCINATION" in his old rackety brain. And I quote" What do you call that thing you do to children, after their mothers have..........". This are the sort of characters, you find in the APC. I wonder if the President, knows what is going on in Katsina, presently. |
Not a very credible candidate, but the best among the fold, excluding the VULTURES in the APC vulture venue. For one, we know, that the campaign will begin and end without the suspicious death of any of the bigwigs. |
The OP, does not know how expensive it is for a landlord to run a tenement. It's hard for you, given, but it is also tough for the landlord, especially, when the landlord is retired and aged, with responsibilities. We should learn to see things from the other perspective. |
It's called BUSINESS. You chop, I chop. A government, not based on Meritocracy, but on Northeocracy and compensation. A system, designed to turn the entire country into a Talikawa colony. |
RIDICULOUS |
Anyone who believes that a man who was a one time PETROLEUM minister in a military government, and then later ruled as a military head of state, after which he found himself once more in the throes of power, as the head of the defunct PETROLEUM task fund, has a mere 30 million naira to his name in his account at a bank, needs a trip to YABA LEFT. Even my dad in his good days, had way more than that as a low import manager. Let's not kid ourselves here. |
chukwudi44:I am really disappointed. Do you people not understand Sarcasm. "As poor as Buhari" 30 million Naira= 3 billion dollars Hellooooooo! |
DaBullIT:Am afraid, I will have to ruin your parade. For, Barcanista is not gone. His illuminating articles uploaded on his Facebook page will be featured on Nairaland on a daily basis. I hope you won't pass out after learning this fact. |
calaway:They are trying to put as much suspicious characters as possible into strategic positions, so as to strengthen their hold on the state, in the event of a poor outing and a futile election campaign. Also, they are paying their debts, to people who helped their cause, so as to buy their silence, for the treasonable roles they played in the last administration. The entreaties granted to the likes of Amina, Daura, Hammed Ali and a host of others is a shape of things to come. The only glitch, is that dubious people, are never satisfied and eventually allow their greed destroy them and their benefactors as well. |
Though I sympathize with the Acting chairman of the PDP, I think he was laying it a bit thick on his assertion. Mr Udom was in no way, the target of the DSS hit squad. The mission of the DSS was simply to plant incriminating evidence in the temporary lodge of the ex-govenor and current Senate minority leader, Godswill Akpabio and frame him as a sponsor of terrorism. The President, has been briefed on the plan by the US republican party/ Mossad to oust him from power, in a year or two, and clear the part for early elections, which will produce the ex-govenor as the next President. That was the motive behind the haphazard, incompetent murder attempt on the Senate minority leader last week. The Senate minority leader, is currently on a business trip with his allies making plans to help the APC dispensation make their tenure as tumultuous as possible. Hence the reason for this storm, plant and frame gimmick , they initially tried out with the former DSS boss, Dasuki. The President, should know that resistance is futile, and should simply accept his inevitable failure as fate. |
saintkash:Thank you, for confirming to all, that this is a Government of Vendetta, Vengeance and Vindictiveness. |
The APC government, is more concerned with theatrics and special effects, than with true governance. The economy is sliding into a recession and our dear President is busy unleashing the newly reformed thuggish DSS on perceived enemies of the state. A government that portends to govern its citizens with just a motto: Body language, instead of with policies and action. When the chickens come home to roost, we will see how the APC e-media will spin the story of a recession, into that of a boom. |
