Wilshereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Omo, this guy aint going on loan If it had gone in, it would have been the best goal ever scored at the emirates!!!!! |
Silky skills from Rosicky Kinda the Rozzi I used to know |
Vela scores 1-0 to the Arsenal! |
Nice pics ahonohai ![]() |
The Falconets are doing well. Look like theyve spotted the weak side of the Germans The attacks from the right have been impressive |
What we learned today (Some of them we 've known about before) * Fabianski has the reflexes but the question still remains about crosses and corners * Koscielny is quality * Frimpong is Song's mini-me * Wilshere isn't ready for regular first team action at arsenal * Nasri is so much better than last year or the year before * Chamakh is quality * Walcott is more dangerous on the right than up front * This will be vela's season to show his talents * Djourou is not a defensive midfielder * Randall just played himself out of an arsenal career |
ritchboy:That miss was shocking Reminded me of Adebayor's double miss at Bolton in one of the FA cup matches 1-1. Not a bad result. We saw glimpses of Chamakh,Koschielny,Frimpong,Randall etc. I think Jack is ready sha |
Did anyone see that piece of skill from Vela? Chamakh subbed for Randall Great ovation 4 him |
Chamakh gets his first of many goals for the Arsenal Wonderful run by AA23 1-0 to the Arsenal |
olabukola:Is it by force to watch? Go and watch naija home video or watch Manure TV |
olabukola:Can u please mind your damn business and disappear from this hallowed thread follypimpi:It started some 10 minutes ago. Still 0-0 |
July has 30 days oooh. Check out quotes from Barca players on ONE single player contracted to another club. UNBELIEVABLE. "He is having to stay at a club where he no longer wants to be for another year. I wonder how intelligent it is keeping a player who doesn't want to be there, I won't say he is in a prison, as we know how privileged we are as football players, Anybody who tries to convince themselves he wanted to stay at Arsenal is wrong" - Carles Puyol, July 30. "I am not the Barcelona coach, nor the person responsible for reinforcements, but personally I will do the maximum to get Cesc here. He wants to play here and it will be quite normal if Arsenal finally do a deal" - David Villa, July 23. "We know where Cesc wants to be this coming season, but perhaps there is not enough time for Barcelona and Arsenal to agree a deal. Arsenal need to understand they are only delaying the inevitable. If we don't manage to get his signature this season then Arsenal only really have him on loan for a year" - Xavi, July 21. "Cesc is a really nice guy and desperate to become a Barcelona player" - Carles Puyol, July 18. "I would be delighted if he came" - Leo Messi, July 14. "Everybody has come out and spoken of the desire we have for him to be with us next season. We would be delighted" - Andres Iniesta, July 12. "I have known that Cesc wanted to join Barcelona for many years - but now it is more than about wanting to do it. Now it is something he feels he must do" - Gerard Pique, July 4. |
lalaboi: Very funny names in the Youth team. ![]() |
ogazi007:If Barca can't pay 'any amount' for a player they let go willingly some 7 years ago and Arsenal turned him into one of the best midfielders in the world at 23 years old, they should shut the f@*k up. I have never seen such classsless lot. . . . . from the President to the guy that cleans the dressing room. ![]() The world awaits the next Barca player that would talk about how much Fabregas wants to join Barca, bla, bla, bla It's so freaking disgusting. It looks a bit allright for the President and hierachy to be mouthing off on a player, but for 'would be' team mates to be talking about him everyday, it's so ridiculous. We will keep Fab4 for as long as we intend. We'll even keep paying him and seat his as* in the stands. He has a 5 year remaining on his contract and must freaking honour it. We(Arsenal) decide when he will leave us, . Who cares if he's unhappy . . . Are we enslaving him? Rubbish |
honeric01:Then go ahead and pay Arsenal's valuation of the player. Your football players have been speaking to the Press about Fab4 more than they have spoken to their families. Classless idi ots ![]() |
tkb417: OMG Was this on Playstation or it happened! ![]() |
debosky:I am wondering also. The guy's stock has gone down so badly. He was voted the worst foreign player in Serie A last season and was a flop with Brazil at the World Cup. Recent performances don't point to the fact that he is anyway better than what we have. But. . . . . . . On the flip side, I don't blame majority of Gooners at all. When you fail to win trophies, fans just wanna see changes, no matter who. If AW brings Zidane and Thuram to Arsenal, fans won't care much, just try something else apart from Almunia,Bendtner,Denilson,Diaby, Vela etc ![]() |
Scammers in the house. Is this not the third one I am reading today? |
Chei, We never sign Per. . . . and all these criticisms dey follow suit. Just like Debo said, we already have a fast and aggressive TV5. So they should complement each other, that is , if we sign Per at all. You can't always have 'gragra' defenders everytime. With them , you are guaranteed conceding 4-5 penalties in a season. Anyway Mertesacker should be better than what we have now and can only get better at that age dayokanu:Really Sauron should post his pics for all to see to rest these stories. I heard aki and pawpaw are both taller ![]() |
yousouph:You are damn right. I wonder why we can't just sell the injury prone players Even at a loss. I will rather see the youth team players like Tom Cruise,Jet,Frimpong and co playing then players who play 1 match today and disappear for 6 weeks due to a hamstring problem ![]() |
Please, borrow 60m and come pay for Cesc, then sell Messi and Pique to Citeh for 200m 140m will pay wages for the next couple of months. At this rate, Laporta, your new president and some fans will line up for your first CL games ![]() |
Here is to another transitional season. . . IF we do not have the CB and GK signings that we so blantantly need.
Let's imagine we get Buffon and Jagielka/Mertesacker, there's still no guarantee we will win something.
BTW,read somewhere Djorou got injured in yesterday's match,na true?
Yep, he was injured, but it's thought to be nothing serious. It's a friendly game against part timers,no need risking anything. I don't expect Djorou to play many games this season ,maybe just CC games. He's just coming back after a year out. |
Why, exactly, is Scholesy bothering humanity with whether he would have, should have, could have, . . . . been in the English team that screwed up in South Africa? Someone should tell Mr Ginger hair, he couldn't have performed a 'Maradona'. He wouldn't have done anything. The entire team was whack |

Some information about the new 25 man squad rule **culled from the net***
|
dayokanu:who cares? he was probably drunk while making that outrageous claim ![]() |
dayokanu:Thank God, Debo has answered you. Where did u get the 16m story from, when Arsenal's most expensive signing is just around that figure? |
dayokanu:So, how much was he bought?20m,30m,50m? and he was signed from Bayern, abi na from Madrid or Barca? Abeg talk another thing @Dr Kit Go and look at the stats and see how many times Dudu played against the big four before the leg break. I doubt if he played any or at worst, maybe as an 85th minute sub. Dudu was no big name signing. AW's programme was to integrate him slowly in the team. From minute 1 that he arrived, he had Robin and Adebayor in font of him. Are 'big name' signings not thrown into the Lion's den immediately a la Wiltord,Verm,Arshavin etc? Dudu broke his leg in two places. . . . It's only the 'Grace of God' allowing him to play footie again. Many players have had their career ended by less. It would have been a miracle if he ever became the same player again. Whatever, really. . . he would always be remembered at the club and he bowed out with a lotta dignity. I can't say the same for some players we both know! What else do you want from a player.? |
I beg to differ greatly. Dudu was no flop. He wasn't a big name signing to start with and wasn't bought from any of the big leagues. That said. The stats showed he had a decent return on goals scored before that horrific leg break. He hasn't been the same since then. Go and check out Henry, Pires, Bergkamp and co's records in their first season. You would certainly have labelled them flops becos they were worse than rubbish. Wish Dudu the best in his career |
'Danny Shi.t-tu |
Give this Old man a chance naah. August 31 is still some 41 days. If we can sign Sol,why not Bobby Pires He's available, isn't he? ![]() just joking oooh, before I am attacked right, left, centre ![]() |
I agree with Sauron. Formation depends on the personnel available. The 4-3-3 favours highly mobile players who can cover for each other. Nigeria do not have the players to do well in that kind of formation. Certainly the 4-4-2 ain't dead |
