Good morning mamas in the house. Hope we all slept well.

Due to the increase of heat these days, I've resorted to sleeping on the ground with duvet and wrapper. But I do feel pains (weight of my baby pressing on my ribs) whenever I sleep on my sides for long. The ground is super sweet for this weather. Pls mamas will there be any effect on me and my baby? I'm 36weeks plus. I hope I'm safe.

Glucose can be used for new born especially when he has low blood sugar. Most gestational diabetic women like me has tendency of giving birth to a baby with low blood sugar because due to high blood sugar when they were in the body, their pancreatic would have grown so large to adapt to that in their mums body, then when they give birth to them and severe placenta from them ,their sugar level tends to drop below Normal so they use glucose or formula to bring it up. So pls go with it, is very important

I think you should buy both as they have their usefulness. My hosp does not believe in glucose either so we started with formula from day 1. We later gave him glucose after a couple of days cos my mom believes it helps reduce and jaundice traits. You can also take the glucose. Plus you might be lucky and bm starts flowing immediately and you won't need either.

Personally I don't like glucose, especially for babies.
I'd advise you to buy the baby milk and ignore the glucose.

It's usually given in the hospital mostly only the first few hours. By the next day I was giving my baby formula. Me I think you should still buy it

On my hospital list for baby, there is glucose in the list thats incase breastmilk doesn't flow immediately but in our antenatal classes the midwife told us not to use glucose for our baby bcus of the sugar content in it, that baby is so tender to start taking in sugar substance like that, so it brought to my question if formula is preferable and doesn't have sugar in it(as in is it as pure as breastmilk?). I'm doing my shopping I want to know the necessary one to get. Thank you as I anticipate your replies.

Graco park and play is what I use
When you buy it and set it up there is a little bed at the top. As the child gets older, you can remove it and buy a small mattress and put just like I did
The advantages is that You can leave baby in there with toys while you do stuff around the house and you can simply fold it up and travel with it.
It does not occupy space
You can move it around easily as it has tyres (when my son was born I used to keep it in the living room and I put the mosquito net over it to prevent people from carrying him)

Got mine last year for 55k (mine has a reversible napper and changer which I took off once he outgrew it)

There are cheaper ones too

But if you don't like this one you can always get a carpenter to make a crib for you

I heard from different people that babies outgrow babycot very fast hence clinging to their mothers more. I want to shop for only the necessary things, im stilltrying to come to come to conclusion. Pls help mama... Is there an alternative for babycot?

I woke up feeling really excited because YES! we are at the last phase, third trimester. 28 good weeks, just like yesterday when the whole journey started. im super grateful to God for how far he has brought us and because he wont bring us this far to leave us.

I'm grateful for the moderate MS, and the trailer load of discomfort that 2nd trimester came with. From sleeplessness to hip pain, is it the numerous dysentery or swollen gum,spitting, waking up countless times to pee at night, or times when my anus will decide to have a mind of its own by popping out after visiting the loo, in fact a whole lot of show. Through it all,i rejoice because no pain no gain.

Despite the inconveniences, i wont even trade this experience for a million bucks. you need to see me smile like i won a lottery when my baby kicks. In all dear lord, i am GRATEFUL.

I also have so many fears oh lord,please allay them and give me hope that all is well. Let the remaining weeks be easy and grant me and all other mamas supernatural delivery like that of the Hebrew Women. Let our joy be full and make our testimonies complete and perfect .

With all these experiences I can't thank God enough. I'm so grateful. Initially, I wasn't enjoying the journey esp the 1st trimester but this third seem to be the best. I'm happily rocking my bump. I'm like the envy of the church today. See me flexing my waist with my bump and members kept wondering how I was doing it but its my God.
Am happy that I'm alive, I and hubby doing great and baby is soon becoming usian bolt in the tummy .
I can't thank him enough. God has seen us through this journey already. God bless our remaining weeks. #teamJan

Pls my urine test and blood test is positive after the 6weeks post miscarriage period. I have not seen any period after the miscarriage evacuation. How can I know how far long I am. I went for a scan and was told there is no baby, what do I do

Mamas abeg help me o. What is it with cold water and opinionated old people? Ah ah! As a matter of fact, cold water keeps me going especially this period I feel so hot majority of the times. ... I went for my BIL TM, I asked for cold water bcus I was sweating and hot inside, na him all the oversabi mamas shook mouth for wetin no concern them as if na their body dey drink am. Saying "are you taking cold water?" Another one "Do you drink cold water in this your state?" The rest of them na eye dem use dey ask their own. Ha me I tire o! I just responded "Yes I do. Its good for me". Which kain wahala be this!

DH and kid bro were just in the next room and they could hear everything. Mumsy stayed by my head side, even though her doctor colleague kept asking her to leave. She just wouldn't buldge. All was set and someone was asked to pray. Meanwhile, I had requested for the type where I could watch things happen, but the doctor said no way! I was too curious and wouldn't let him work freely. Remember that we had some sought of relationship and I was really worried if he would be able to deliver.

So they started praying, and that was the last thing I remembered. Then I began to have all kinds of dreams that I couldn't explain. Then I would come back to the subconscious and hear myself groaning. I could hear mumsy by my head side holding my head and consoling me. Then I would zoom off to my inexplicable dreamland. Mum said that I would start groaning when the anesthesia began to wear off, and then some more would be given.

My baby was brought out and guess what? Her cord was tied into a tight nut. This was where she got her food from, and was breathing through, so how come it was tightly nutted and she was still alive?
The surgeon said in all his years of practice, he had never seen a baby survive with a nutted cord.

Secondly, her amniotic fluid was totally exhausted, yet my overcomer baby was still alive and kicking.

Then, even though she was positioned head down, she was going to come out with her face. Like, her face was supposed to face the anus, but it was facing the veejay. Natural labour would have been really stressful, and considering the nutted cord and finished amniotic fluid, who knows how long more she would have survived the stress?

Forthly, fibroids were brought out of me. As in NINE FIBRIODS! Two mighty ones and seven smaller ones. I was initially scared and suggested that they shouldn't touch the fibroids that were seen in scan cos of loss of blood like I read on this thread. Remember that my PCV was already low. Imagine more loss of blood... The doctor himself said not many doctors would agree to do both together, it was quite risky. He just trusted God to make it successful.

The doctor really took his time searching everywhere for anymore fibroids, cos scan only picked two. My dh was called in to see the fibroids while doctor was still working, and the guy almost fainted. He had to be taken out immediately. Doc then asked mum to call dad since hubby no get liver.
Dad came in, saw all the fibroids and walked out without saying a word.
Guyman had stepped into the next room and was weeping! Like real tears.
Mumsy followed him out since he didn't say a word only to meet my old man in tears. He was like, so all those things were in my daughter and she was still able to conceive? And the baby survived all the toxic environment and still came out 3.8? That he was shedding tears of joy.

Mum came back to me in the theatre and they finished up. I was shuffling between the subconscious world and the unconscious. I knew when I was being lifted back to my room. Gradually I came through. When I could talk, I simply asked dh, boy or girl? He said girl and I immediately slept back. They brought her picture to me and all I could see were pink lips.
She came out so hairy that anyone who saw her was just ogling. One said that was the reason for my consistent heartburn.
I could see dh all over her, from her skin colour to her hair and even facial features.
It really did end in praise, and my testimonies are unquantifiable.

The only thing now is, since yesterday, I'm not being allowed to even taste water till I fart. Me that was Queen of Farts in my pregnancy is using torchlight to find it now.
Baby farted one big one and I asked her to dash me.
You people should help me beg God to dash me fart so I can at least take water and feed my girl. I don't even need food, just fart...
