Thank you mama. The generator thought won't even cross my mind again. I've learnt my lessons already. Yh the TT injection I'll just be watching it. The good nurse (I won't call her useless) didn't wipe the blood with the cotton wool when she was done. Said there was no blood. When she left and I was about leaving the hospital I noticed the blood. Chai I just couldn't climb back upstairs. I had to allow the blood dry off to I can use the tip of my nail to take it off because of the fear of rubbing the spot. I don't know if its why the injection tip is protruding out. I'm also kind of worried it has gotten infected because of the blood I allowed to dry up... I hope not.

Good morning mamas in the house. I hope you all slept well. I Thank God for making us be among the living today.

Lemme rant a little and testify.

So last 2 weeks dh wasnt home and I needed to charge my phone, I went and pulled the gen,.... I pulled it twice when I felt a shift in my tummy, it went to the middle part of my tummy by the belly bottom and got stuck there. It started becoming stronger and didn't go down... After some hours I noticed the shape of my tummy had changed,...it was looking pointed, like my baby was forcing his way through my belly button... The belly button was pointing out then I started feeling so much pains in my tummy. I didn't panic, I just maintained and started observing it... It was still the same, then I took a stroll out that evening..tho I was still feeling the pains and it was kind of late so I couldn't start rushing to the hospital. I got back home from my strolling and noticed the shift had improved a little. I decided to eat and took a rest.
Woke up the next day I could feel my LO moving.. That brought joy to me. I prayed to God to help me and he did. Although the stiffness and lower abdomen pains were still there for some days but I could manage it to work and do other things. I told my mIL she said I should have some rest. My mom wasn't happy because she warned me about lifting anything heavy.

Fast forward to this week Wednesday,.. My appointment with the doc was straight forward, I laid my experiences the past weeks, I complained about dizziness too (which I've mentioned here before). He told me to lay down on the bed, he checked my tummy and tried to listen to the heartbeat of my baby. Then he said "everything is fine". Thank God. He sent me for a scan, to the glory of God everything is truly fine. Cervix still closed. Healthy 2nd trimester. Gendy XY I was all smiles. Glory to God. Help me Thank this God. He is always there when he is needed.

Oh lemme not forget, I was given TT injection that same day. Pls o, after taking TT injection does it leave you in so much pains? And how long? Because mine is way too much now, initially I was experiencing joint pains that I couldn't move my feet freely. Now the hand which I was injected won't stop paining me o. The area is so hardened, sometimes I feel like scratching the hell out of it.

7. Best brand of clothings( sleep suits, jumpsuits, shawls, socks, moccasins etc) or can I just buy randomly if they look nice

8. Do I need to wash all the new clothings before use ?

9. Best brand of Baby walker and rocker/swing( asides mamaroo).

10. Best brand of maternity Bra ( am on the busty side )

11. Best brand of Baby cot, playard or Bassinet.

12. Best brand of Baby bath plastics ( can I just buy randomly too)

My Birth Story
On Sunday the 3rd after seeking advice about my on and off contraction, I decided to call my doctor. He asked me to come in by 7pm. I got to the hospital around 8 or therabt with my hubby and I was checked. Was told I was 5cm dilated. So I av actually bin in labour for 3days without knowing (on and off).
I was admitted and placed on that magic drip oxytocin. Contraction came in bits, later increased and all of a sudden stopped. I didn't progress past 6cm between 9pm and 8am the following day upon all the hands going in and out of my vjay. My enemy suffered. It was not easy.
I was getting weaker and my baby's heart rate was increasing...I guess he was tired of the stress so CS was the next option to avoid stories that touch. My adorable was born 9;35am on the 4th weighing 2.8kg.

I was later told that labour didn't progress cos my baby was actually head down but not in the right position. I guess there is a way they have to be positioned for easy delivery. The doc actually explained but I was not listening .
In all I give Glory to God that I am Alive, my Son is Alive and we are doing great.

I wish all other expectant mothers easy delivery in Jesus name

actually the pregnancy was long overdue running to 11months but I noticed she ate a lot of beans while pregnant.

My princess arrived yesterday, at exactly 8:42pm weighing 3.5kg with a little tear. Mother and Baby doing great, father has been jumping and dancing since yesterday. Lol

I thank God for the grace and the privilege to be a mother.

I wish the remaining September mothers safe delivery of their Lo's. May God who did it for me do it for you all.

NB; Preg is 13 weeks old.

No medications can stop but can only reduce it a little. This is the stage. After her first trimester she might be relieved from it. I experienced it. Doc gave me a drug but still didnt stop until I was done with first trimester. Got myself around 17th week.

I'm eating and it's like I'm not I can't count how many times I've eaten today .. I really don't want to add weight that I can't shed honestly. I've gained 10kg throughout this pregnancy and I'm just in week 33. Biko someone should tell me what to take so that I can't stop eating like a whale.

I use Puritan's pride Omega 3 at the moment with the drug they gave me at the Hospital, and it's mercury free..i used to take pregnacare Plus before but the vitamins in it were not enough for me cos it's compressed so they gave another Drug at the Hospital(contains all the vitamins needed), dats was why I got the Puritan's pride Fish oil cos I use Fish oil even before pregnancy, it's very good for the skin.

Asked my Doc before I started using it,he told me I just wanted to waste my money but it's safe...Even my pharmacist said it's safe so you have nothing to worry about dear, you can still use your Fish oil!!

Does it mean folic acid and fesolate isn't enough for the fetus? I need to know more cus my hospital gave just these for antenatal and I know it isn't enough.

I don't mind dropping the previous for a better one. I wanted to start with pregnacare but as the hospital was giving folic and fesolate I just didn't bother. I was thinking maybe the hospital felt its cheaper for them.

Please which is better I don't mind the money and I hope it isn't too late to start a new drug. I'll be 5months next week, edd Jan.

Had zero ms package 4rm day 1 to d lst day n I glowed during preggy days n it was a boy!

My colleague had MS during her first and second pregnancies, she looked uglier than ugly. Couldn't recognise her but she had boys.
Does all these symptoms really tell the gender?. I don tire o! I had MS all through my first trimester, but I'm more relieved than ever. No much changes in my body except for my tummy and boobs but I'm opting for a boy.

U would be suprised at how it can drop. I remember mine dropped from 28 to 23 percent in a week. Pls try and go for the test again if you have a lab in ur area.dont go out alone caue that diziness thing can embrass u any where . my gyneacologist said a pregnant woman have at least 36% on her pcv result. Low pcv will result in a reduction of oxygen to ur baby. So u and ur baby would start fighting for the liitle one that is availble. One last question do u feel ur heart beating faster when the dizinesss starts or do u have headaches?

Yes I do feel my heart beating fast but no headaches.

Pls check ur pcv level at the laboratory to confirm its not low because low pcv levels causes dizziness sometimes and incase it's confirmed low, just find garden egg leave buy from market(u can send someone) and then wash very well then chew it. It will up ur levels in no time.

Also try not to stay too long without food I noticed it's causes dizziness for me sometimes especially wen I don offload poop poop in the morning.

IMO, I guess u shd check ur pcv level. I'v seen wer chubby/orobo pregnant women don't v sufficient blood level. V u been taking ur ferrous religiously too? Jst rest, talk to ur gynae and eat fd rich in blood supply esp. veggies. It's well.

Yeah I think I should. I just experienced it again 5mins ago. My next appointment is next week Wednesday. At the moment I'll just be taking garden leaves/veggies food to manage it as hebrewbirths recommended.

Anytime i hear dizzy/weakness my mind flies to pcv o. Please if you have 700naira to spare go and do pcv test. That low pcv thing showed me pepper and i dont wish it in anyone. When i had it the whole world would start spining on its own,and it only stops when i sit or lie down dor like 15minutes. Im not trying to scare you ma.

It was just a whole new strange thing and I was concerned because I don't want to lack anything in my body esp health wise. Thanks dear but I think I've had that test last month, my last appointment with my doc. It was one of the lab test my doc ticked to run for me and it came out normal. So when you mentioned it, I remembered I had done something like that. Does it mean I have to keep running the test each time I feel dizzy?

Good morning house. Pls dont mind my long epistle. I just want to share the experience I just had this morning.

So I woke up to the movements of my LO, then I knew it was time to put something in my stomach. It's like a normal routine now, something I don't usually do. LO started dancing azonto as early as possible before 6am to remind me that the time to eat is here. So I got up, said my prayers. I had set water to boil before saying my prayers. Since the only easiest meal to devour was EBA and soup I had to hurrily eat up before LO became calm. Lol

After eating, I had the strength to kill two chickens to stock up my fridge. Now I'm done killing and cleaning the chicken up, was washing them to put in the fridge I started feeling weak, then everywhere was starting to look blurry. Then I said to myself "ah ah but you just had a bowl of EBA and soup na, why the weaknesses?" I was almost to the ground looking for the nearest place to sit in the kitchen. So i managed to move down to the room and lay down on the bed for a while before I got myself. Very strange!

I just want to know if anyone experiences such especially after doing few chores. Is there any other solution to it or is it part of the pregnancy experience? I was beginning to think its the smell from the chicken, maybe I inhaled it much. Just wondering.... I just pray this doesn't happen to me outside my house.

I've not really started experiencing that warm gestures from people or maybe I havnt observed. I just do my thing and leave. 21weeks and I'm rocking it fine with so much food. From 66kg to 70kg in less than 2weeks.

Most people get relief but expressing their feelings. Everyone must not behave like you because we are all unique. Ability for one to accommodate one is a great virtue. Your comment doesn't bother me as much, because I don't know you and I've never seen ur name around this thread. But the fact that your comment garnered a lot of likes from other moms/moms-to-be is rather discouraging to me and upsetting.

Please, what is the purpose of a thread like this if its not to pour ur heart out or get support from experienced people like you all, especially for a first timer.

As a matter of fact, I don't believe that I have "complained" as much as you claim I do on this very thread, because I try to save most of my so called complaint to my pregnancy journal..

If that is the case, then about 70% of us are all "complainers" including you. You may not come online to complain, but we all do.

Anyway, its all good.

My dear don't let that bother you. Ignore negative comments. I've not been around because I had to be a loner to pass the first trimester of which I have. I experienced the similar thing you are experiencing but I chose to deal with it like that without any drugs to manage it. I just come online here to read other people's experiences and laugh, then I knew I wasn't alone. I enjoyed it, that's part of what pulled me through my first trimester safely.
Don't worry you'll get better my dear. Don't let the sicknesses be a major problem. Try to keep your body and mind busy. And pray. Take your routine drugs, at least that would supplement for the lack of intake of food.
