Beync: ignis so u and ur brother are still living in the northCan you house them in the south for the time being? ![]() |
Demdem: Liars roll call:And the grand master GEJ, chief lying officer. |
Jerie: Elueme, Billyonaire and co, I don't know why you are crying more than the bereaved. Even your oga (GEJ) gave credence to SR news when he told the whole world that he learnt of his brother's death through SR. Therefore, if your boss believes SR, you had better do or go headbutt a rhinoceros. You dey mind them? ![]() |
Sincere 9gerian: It is obvious that the president doesn't even know much about the N16billion Sambo's residence contract. For this same issue, the 'retardinhos' have attacked, abused and cursed GEJ. Do we really expect one man to know everything and be involved in everything? As far as I'm concerned, there are institutions and those institutions should do their work and where they fail, all attacks should be directed at them, not an 'omnipresent' president. In this case, where the contract sum appears too high, the senate committee should do their work(which they'r already doing), the budget office, ministry of office and other parties concerned in the project should also do their work. Where foul play is suspected, the law should take its course. What is this for God's sake? ![]() |
Arobam: Mr Sahara agent, my problem with Sahara is that they keep manufacturing news stories from unknown and unverifiable sources. Examples abound in the past where I have been misled by their stories. Anybody intent on reading their stories must try to do so with a pinch of salt.Stories like? ![]() |
Billyonaire: You are intelligent enough to know that when Sahara Reporters states "Sources Say", they are referring to rogue journalists in other media houuses in Nigeria, sometimes these rogue journalists cant publish unverified info, so they ftp the info to Sahara. Sometimes, their editors dont want news out cos its biased, they ftp the info to Sahara. Thats the meaning of 'Sources Say" So I dont give a damn if its Punch or Chronicles. What I say in essence is, let their souls rest in phucking peace. And you should stop finding faults in people, cos you are on imperfect fellow I know in the history of Nairaland.Oh you expect them to name their "sources" in this "jungle" called Nigeria? you claim they publish unverified news when the story does not go well with you, but when they published news about Yara dua's saga and host of other stories that tickled your fancy, some of you never raised the issue of "unverified" abi? Pls tell me, who's suppose to "verify" news and which news should be tagged "verified" and "unverified"? |
ballabriggs: Here are the comments of some posters in the punch on Maku. Billyonaire: Sahara Repoerter's Sowore should allow us the courtesy of letting those rested souls to lay in peace and stop telling us who lied or who didnt. Sources say, Sources say, sources say; How do we know your source of news is not wrong?Maybe Saharareporters own punch and those who comment on punch too abi? |
kandiikane: And I'm telling you two people who want to spend their lives together and raise children do not need the government to recognise that they are. You do not need a paper to say mr and mrs for you or others around you to know you want to spend your lives together. That paper does not guarantee a lasting union. You do not need the government to tell you, you're a couple. No one is telling you paper makes a union last, what i am saying is that you're recognized as a couple by the society without legalizing the union via court. Period! |
Because women are no longer running. |
Demdem: No problem. Am going there right away.Me self dey wait! |
geekinthelead: lol.. you know nah..What kinda screw-driver are you talking about and what have we achieved with it? |
geekinthelead: See military mentality?? Mr Fashakin, it can never be better for you, buhari and your Islamic fundamentalist collaborators who have conspired to commit treasonable felony against the Nigerian people! Rot in Hell!!Are you shittin your pant already? ![]() |
kandiikane: Marriage is not about recognition.Sorry but you're not in a lawless society where there are no rules/recognized authority. there are ethics and legality of a union is one of them, a man and wife must be registered with the government before they can be termed "couple" and this consist of getting the court involved. |
Ikoniko: wat did buhari forgot in aso rock dat he wants to go back either by killin, blackmailin if not to steal. MwtchHe forgot to fix the educational sector properly while in Dodan Barracks, now he wants to come back to fix it so we don't have to read this again by 2019. ![]() Trust me, when he gets to Aso rock, you won't miss English class for once. ![]() |
Demdem: all i just want is my vote should count. Please kindly make sure Jarus includes my vote. I refused to be disenfranchised.Sorry, but you have to be around to vote. ![]() |
Demdem: I may not be around when it comes up. I'm off for some hrs, probably days. Kindly make sure my one and only vote count abegii.Who won't with his lowest of low approach to governance? ![]() |
I'm saying religion like the OP suggests has nothing to do with blessing and curses in a union. I'm saying whether the state recognises ur union as marriage or not the simple fact that you have both agreed to be together to raise children means u're as good as married. I'm saying that being together outside wedlock does not attract blessings or curses unless you're a mismatch. *unfollowing*
When it comes to recognition, without legalizing the union, it's nothing but a mere "friendship/union" |
the absence of legally binding commitment does not mean the absence of commitment. If it did then people would be free to have numerous boyfriends and fiancees would be free to sleep around with other men without their fiance getting angry since they aren't wedded yet. You are committed when u decide to be. Legally getting married doesn't ensure that neither does it prevent people from being cheats.
What exactly are you saying? |
Dinosaur and unicorns. |
tunapawizzy: at least now d poor can sell kidney to the sick rich .......1 kindney 100m ...agree or die....Now looking for Diezani100 million naira for one kidney? where dem dey buy kidney? ![]() |
The question of legality only comes to mind when/if there's a problem in the union that has to be settled by the law(esp with kids involvement) and for state record keeping. Other than that, a couple can be perfectly happy together without the involvement of the state.
Whatever the government does not recognize as marriage is not marriage, it's nothing but a "common union" which does not require any commitment from any of the party. It's not different from sleeping with your numerous boyfriends/girlfriends and having babies everywhere. this lifestyle have nothing in common with marriage. |
Why is everyone attaching marriage to religion? If it's a traditional wine carrying that's done, vow before a priest, a ship captain, even between just two people promising to stay together for the rest of their live, it's all marriage. Kick out religion and it's implications and u'll realise there's no curse or blessing attached to a union. Marriage is as good as a voluntary organisation or even a cooperative society, only it's got 2 members. So long there's a common interest, understanding(including knowing d implications of their union), and emotional involvement between 2 people who have decided to live together and raise children, they are as good as married IMHO. Now wonder why some marriages done the conventional way still fail? There are basic general principles governing a union and some which are belief oriented, u break even the least one of them and ur marriage is as good as doomed.
Even pagan countries like China, Singapore e.t.c, they still conduct marriages and without official/government recognition, you're not married. you can decide to do it religiously or otherwise, but you must be recognized by the country before it can become legal. |

Seriously though, the suggestion lacks intellectual rigour, .. it is pedestrian, kinda like using a hammer when a screwdriver will do..
