In all these nothing to portray that you are a “DENTIST”

After 7 years of being in UNN you still can’t boldly put your degree on your post, this is sad, dental graduates needs to start letting people know their degree, stop this nonsense bro, he say na “Medical graduate” lmao

Is this stuff scam?
If so, please is there any other scholarship I can applied for as an undergraduate
Don't waste your time with the CRF. It's all purely a bid to drive traffic to the site. More traffic= More money.

go to scholastica.ng, I believe snepco scholarship is on and would close by the 10th of this Month.

I just graduated from secondary school. I'm applying to study geology I chose geology cause I like geography and my geography teacher introduce it to me is it related?. Is geology based on maths cause my mathematics is poor and I don't Like maths. My major strength is biology and physics and my second chose is physiotherapy I actually liked but courses. O don't know what to do guys.
Even if you have A1 in Geography at WAEC, it is not enough reason to say you want to study Geology.

Based on anecdotal evidence, Geology is a course with a significant amount of calculations related courses and even the bright ones end up with carryovers here and there.

Geology is not a bad course in itself, however, asides divine connection, you don't land a job in that sector just with a BSc. The more reason why you see a ton of BSc holders going back to get MScs, this is when you can begin to actually say you're onto something in the field.

This is Nigeria, count your teeth with your tongue. In essence, where do you see yourself realistically in 6 years and how do you intend to get there.

Nothing comes easy, Physiotherapy is a course where you can almost chart the direction of life after graduation. This is not to say it's better than Geology but at least you know where you'd be post-graduation. And as with Geology, studying Physiotherapy isn't a walk in the park.

I hope you are able to pick one or two things from this poorly arranged response.

Good luck.

Sincerely speaking I really appreciate all this, okay let me tell you a bit of her story, she wants to venture into acting like it’s her dream, her parents rejected it u know the normal Nigerian parent mentality as seeing actresses as whores, so she was actually in art class and doing well, her parent forced her into going to science, so she’s not really very good at science subjects aside chemistry though, now she wants to play the game of giving her parents what the want and at the same time going for what she wants, her parents are threatening to disown her and she’s scared, the thing is she really wants to go to outside state university away from her home, to school and to pursue her dreams too, you get now, that’s why she seems like she’s desperate to enter school even if it means sorting it out, and she just clocked 18yrs 3days ago, sha she’s saying if she doesn’t get admission this year then she may consider next year,
One does not have to study Theatre Arts to actually be on TV/Movies/Soap Operas. Nigeria is crazy already and I may sound biased but your friend's parents her best interest at heart as long as Nigeria is concerned.

Tonto Dike studied Petroleum Engineering, Funke Akindele is a Lawyer by profession, Femi Adebayo is also a Lawyer, Lara George is an Architect, Desmond Elliot is an Economist, Frank Edoho studied Animal Science.

There are many ways that lead into a market and knowing the right people would go a long way too. I'd advise your friend to strive to study what would put food on her table first before she pursues her passion, or else "nah hunger go kill that passion".

How many persons who studied Theatre Arts are actually on TV?

Yeah they have State General hospital that is converted to Teaching hospital for Clinicals. And the school is not yet listed on the MDCN website because they haven't undergo the first stage of accreditation(i.e they haven't written their first Professional MB exam). In short their first set of students are just moving to pre Clinical stage of medical school.

They have biochemistry as a course but they haven't started Anatomy and Physiology.
I would advise your friend to continue with KWASU (Kwara State University) and attempt the the UTME again (next year). However, It's important to remember that the first sets of Medical Students in any institution often face certain challenges and adjustments. However, with time and dedication, things tend to improve.

Hi everyone, I have one of my friends that also wrote 2023 Jamb and he had 298 but he applied to kwara State Univeristy, Medsurg. I discouraged him to applied to a standard and accredited medical school but he won't listen to me. And he was arguing that he is sure of graduating within 6 years and that the school won't have accreditation issues like other schools.

Please what advice can you offer regarding his issue?
Does the KWASU have a Teaching Hospital? Are there any tertiary hospitals close to it? Is it listed on wdoms.org or the mdcn website?

While your friend has his leg in already, tell him to hold on to the KWASU admission and try again for another University.

Does KWASU already offer admission for Anatomy, Biochemistry and Physiology?

Hi good morning my fellow nairalanders, actually my friend got 184 in jamb to study nursing in uniport, I told her the possibility is low though, let her change to biochemistry since she’s good in chemistry, but the problem is how sure will she get admission with her jamb score to study biochemistry in uniport, she’s also reasoning doing change of course/institution to Enugu state university to study biochemistry or nursing, what do you guys think we both are confused here, and she don’t want to write jamb next year
Hey there, it seems your friend might have a misconception regarding the relevance of being good at Chemistry for studying Biochemistry. It's important to clarify that while Chemistry is indeed a foundational subject in Biochemistry, it shouldn't be the sole criterion for pursuing it. Encourage your friend to explore their passion and aptitude for the field beyond just Chemistry.

Furthermore, it's crucial to advise your friend not to make hasty decisions that could lead to regret. Choosing a career path solely based on gaining admission may not result in long-term satisfaction. Instead, suggest that they carefully consider their interests, strengths, and aspirations before committing to a specific field of study.

When it comes to pursuing Nursing, it's worth noting that there are two options available: the School of Nursing and universities. The Nursing and Midwifery Council has now standardized the admission process through UTME for both options. In the past, the School of Nursing simply required the purchase of a form, but things have changed now, and they have been asked to align with the new system or face closure.

Considering your friend's current UTME score, it might be advisable for them to apply to both universities and schools of nursing in their next attempt. This will increase their chances of securing admission and allow them to explore different avenues within the field.

Remember, setbacks happen in life, and it's important to approach them with resilience. Encourage your friend not to be disheartened but to embrace the opportunity to try again and work harder. With determination and perseverance, they can achieve their goals. Tell her to try again, to try harder.

All the best.

Admission for HND Holders to 300 level without using jamb or D.E route.
Unfortunately, in ABU that is not possible. ABU does not even take first degree for DE into any course at the College of Medical Sciences.

You either come in through the UTME/SBRS into 100L or IJMB into 200L.

You may want to find out if your plan is possible at Kano.

Moreover this scenario you painted mostly happens in Engineering. I may be wrong though.

I want to Japa from Nigeria to go study and focus on my Medical career in European country, but no money noww oo

I obtained my BSc in November 2021

I completed my NYSC on 02/02/2023

Any advice and recommendation
Why are you picking Ibadan/Ile-Ife? Going by age, we know you do not have the luxury to dilly-dally from one university to the other like a teenager does.

Yours shouldn't be a trial by error thing.

The target should be to apply and hit it once.

When was the last time you did intense Chemistry, Physics?

Regardless, I wish you the best.

Believe it or not.

In US, it is NBDE (National Board Dental Examination)
In UK, it is ORE (Overseas Registration Exam)
In Canada, it is NDSE (National Dental Specialty Examination)

**In Canada, it is NDEB(National Dental Examining Board of Canada).

NDSE is for international Dental specialists looking to get their qualifications recognized so they can practice in Canada.

And they are expecting people not to Japa, even people in 100L are already learning what it requires to write USMLE/ORE/LDS/PLAB/LMCC/ADC and this nonsen.se minister who ironically is a Doctor is here saying this tras.h.

Saving human lives is what being a Doctor is about, it mustn't be Nigerian lives, I intend to be Patriotic but from a very long distance off.

And the most fooli.sh thing they could come up with is working for 5 years before one can leave, very silly people.
