Once they cross that border they start feeling like they are better than everyone here in the country. |
This happened in nigér not niger state in Nigeria. That doesn't mean it's right tho. Muslims should learn to live with other people. We all cannot be Muslims. |
The benue state boys hostel in second campus have not had water supply for two semesters now. That is they have not had water supply for a whole session. Despite paying every student charges and increasing the student's school fees. The boys in the second campus hostels have talked with managements again and again and they continue to make promises without making any effort to rectify the issue. As i speak to you now, even if the power issue is rectified, the student will still have no water in their hostels. It's just so bad that the management of the state university have been sidelined and it seems everyone is just doing as they like. |
I am a student at the Benue state university and it is without utmost displeasure i am creating this post. As a student of the institution and like any other good student, i try to speak well about my school whenever and wherever i can. But speaking good of something when that thing is not going well amount only to creating an illusion, one that disappears when tested with reality. The Benue state university has been without power supply for over a month today and unfortunately the management are not even bothered about this issue. There is just no end in sight for this issue and we the students especially those of us staying in the school hostel are earnestly frustrated beyond any explanation i can give here. Most students now have to beg their mates staying outside the hostel everyday to go and take their baths very early in the morning before coming to the hostel to dress and get ready for class. Some students can no longer cook because there is no water in the hostels. Personally, i have not been able to cook for the past one week because there is no power to pump water. Also, since the past three or four days now, i have been buying bags of pure water which i then pour in my buckets to take my baths. I do this once a day because sadly, i realize i cannot afford to have my bath twice a day buying bags of pure water. The management are not saying anything about the power issues. This is frustrating to the students and they still expect us to come to classes early and sit down comfortably yet the most basic amenities are not available. Can these students protest? No. the management has effectively banned all forms of protest in the school hence silencing every voice.

PurityOrNothing:it is beautiful everywhere. Na why married men and married women commit adultery because sex is sex regardless of marital status. Some even råpe for this sex. Because sex is sex. Sell marriage if you want but not with delusions and lies. |
cutecommend:Please stay away from this line of reasoning as a young man reading this. Single mothers are with you because they can't get the man who got them pregnant and left. They will never love or respect you. A man should start a family of his own not join one. |

I think proper documentation would have been better. If you look at a pos transact history we should be able to pinpoint it to an individual or business that owns that pos used for the transaction. Location of POS is not the problem. It's knowing the people behind each terminal that's important. This will only tie people down. This is not a solution |

So, i have been observing something for a while now and i must say i feel disgusted even for someone who works with p@rn on a regular basis and this is my reason: when you visit Xnxx unlike other website the default is set to gay. most people are unsuspecting of this even when you visit the url directly it redirects you to the gay section immediately. Now imagine the millions of young nigerians and others around the world consuming p@rns. this is how they get you. you can try the website and see for yourself. |
So, yesterday a Member representing Aguata Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly empowered constituents with branded wheelbarrows.and a lot of people were mocking him asking why he could not provide them with better tools like tractors and so on. I feel for most farmers, wheelbarrows, hoes and cutlasses are a lot more necessary compared to the other white elephant projects most 'educated' people were suggesting on that thread yesterday. And i have good reasons to support this. For one: I grew up in the village where farming is our major source of income, food and everything else. So, not to sugar-coat anything; i have been a farmer for most of my life in the village and i can tell you that a tractor would not work. for instance; most of us have our farmers scattered in different parts. small small lands here and there and every year we rotate the crops we plant on these lands. to cultivate this small small lands with tractors will yield no benefits but increase the overall cost of farming for us. Tractors are efficient only when you are farming on a large scale and with a large expanse of lands. most of us dont have such lands. 2. Another reason why tractors will not work is because our farms are interconnected. most farmers piece of lands are surrounded by other farmers' piece of lands. much the same way as your house is surrounded by other houses. And no one would want tractors running through their farms with crops to go to another farmer's farm. Most times when we go with Keke or Pickup truck to pack produce from our farms, we need to go with Big basins and sometimes wheelbarrows to pack the produce from inside our farms and carry them outside to the waiting Keke on the main road. 3. Farmers in the village are always renting wheelbarrows, hoes, cutlasses and Knapsack sprayers and this is the reality. Sometimes we have to wakeup as early as 4am in the village to go and rent wheelbarrows for N500 each before going to the farm and this is for my uncle who is already kind of well-to-do in the village because he is a government teacher now imagine for those old mamas and papas with no other source of income. 4. So for now, for most susbsistent farmers in nigeria, the best gifts any government officials can give to them are these tools. they dont require fueling, costly maintenance and they get the work done. if you want to make the gift even better, add knapsack sprayers for spraying herbicides. Knapsack sprayers are notoriously out of reach for farmers but is a huge necessity. In the village, renting one for a whole day sometimes cost about N2,000. 5. Also, you can gift them fertilizers. Fertilizers despite the subsidy are still out of reach for most farmers. And it affects their yields. Most farmers buy in those milk cups and use spoons to apply them. Instead of applying the required quantity, they just add little to each ridges and heaps so it can reach the whole farm. This of course will reduce their yields but most don't care as long as they apply it to their whole farms. I am saying this because it is very easy to mock others when we don't know what people actually needs.

bixton:lolz. Wheelbarrow is more beneficial than tractors to these farmers. Some of you just like white elephant projects that does not work. Here's why tractor is not a good thing: most of these people are small time and subsistence farmers. They have small pieces of lands scattered here and there and they plant crops that require ridges or heaps in different parts of the land. Giving them tractors would not be helpful and will be useless because to even get into their farms they have to pass through other people's farm, where will the tractor pass through? In the village, when we need motor to come and pack our cassava, most times the motor will stay outside while we walk into the farm with basins or wheelbarrow to pack the harvest into the motor because other people's farm are surrounding our farms. And that's beside fueling requirements and maintenance (farmers who can't even afford fertilizer where dem go get money for fuel, operator and maintenance from?) If you grow up in the village or go to farm you'll understand this perfectly. Tractors are for commercial farms same as irrigation except in places where they lack rainfall. Giving these tools is a necessity for a regular farmer. You don't know how much farmers beg for wheelbarrows, sprayers, cutlssses and hoes. In the village these things are even for rent. Where you go to pay money very early in the morning to get it. I am saying this from experience because I grew up in the village and we farm. So wheelbarrow, cutlass, hoes and if you add one of those knapsack sprayers then you'll have solve a good percentage of the average farmer's problem. Next will be to give them fertilizers and herbicides (most farmers can't afford fertilisers and have to buy in milk cups and then use spoons to apply them small small so it can reach the whole farm even though it doesn't reach the required measurements) Not all problems require big big machines, tech or long talks. Look at your immediate environment and solve the problem. |
