franchasng:you can't wrap ur head because you're not thinking. Go outside and pour fuel on your body. Then ask someone to light matches close to you and see if you'll escape the fire. |
kingthreat:honestly I hate when a woman kills her husband/lover and people go "we don't know what he's doing to her" Like what justifies a murder? |
codemaniacs:if the next generation needs to research yoruba culture then it's probably dead. Culture will never remain the same from generation to generation. Some aspects become stronger and others wane. It's important to have as many people as possible to practice your culture. That's what will keep it going. Look at religion, those religions with fewer members tend to sink. You just can't maintain culture. Sooner people understand this the better. |
Do people really worry about other people practicing their culture? Like as an idoma man, I'll be worried if I see an igbo man practicing idoma culture? |
pocohantas:I think you're making stuffs up in your head and believing them. A first stage of mådness if I must say. There is no where in my post where I implicitly or explicitly say that I am now better than my ex. Or that she is suffering because we are no longer together. I suffer from these constant thoughts of her because I had to break my heart to stay away from someone I love. Maybe your ex and you did something differently but stop projecting the mådness on everyone you meet. Thank you |
brain54:it's all růbbish. |
Rich4god:which one is if I'm not ready for marriage I should stop dating? So, if today I have hustled and I get the money then I'll start thinking about dating? Do some of you even chew your ideas to see if it makes sense before you start spewing it out? Marriage comes from dating. Dating comes because you loved someone. Love happens spontaneously. If you think you can cook up love with a random woman just because you're ready to get married, I pity you. |
motymop:oga we were both students. She graduated and I had two years left because I'm a medical student. There was nothing in this world that I did not explain to her. At one point she started using it as a thing of pride that I'm desperate to keep her which is why I'm explaining to her all the time. See I don't want to say somethings because the matter dey weak me to think. Just now as I'm going to the market I met her on the road with her friend. I know she expects my call anytime now because of how I'm always weak with her in the past. But honestly I'm just too fed up and tired to even think about calling her. |
Goshiii:e dey wonder me sometimes. Is it marriage that's important or the relationship between the two people getting married? Like I thought marriage is officially declaring that we love each other and want to share our lives together? Why then would you put marriage before your relationship? God no go let me do this nōnsense |
Kobojunkie:alright. |
DanseMacabre:actually this is why most women file for divorce. They feel they can do better based on the attention they are getting from outside. And it's sad/funny because once they are out they start going after other married men. |
DanseMacabre:don't worry. Your submission or whatever don't really matter. I only elaborated because of others who may read the thread. It's not a direct personal response |
Kobojunkie:oya na. Your face show. Your shoe don shine. Hop to the next thread |
Smartguyboy:nah. Never happening again. |
DanseMacabre:oga I did not keep her in a relationship for 4 years. We were in the relationship together for 4 years and like any two people who loved each other, we should be working towards making a life together. I did not tie anyone down in the relationship. I don't know about you but relationship should progress into marriage and not relationship just because you want to get married. She wanted out and I did not hold her. Secondly, I'm not sure she'll marry me too but I equally gave her 4 years of my time, sacrifices and resources or you don't think my time, resources and sacrifices in the relationship also matter? Or you thought I was just sitting down and she was taking care of me in the relationship? How some of una dey think sha? |
Most married women are in this boat currently. I did not say divorced women o. But women who are currently married. And they are considering divorcing their husbands. Most women think because they are getting attention when married, they will easily replace their husbands. For some the attention is from their ex. For others it's single men. They forget that the garden is beautiful to people passing by because they don't know how much dirt they owner has to become to make it that way. When a man is not paying your bills but getting your attention and sex on a platter, he'll definitely give you every attention. Wait until you become his responsibility and see if he'll still be the same man. Wait until he bear that responsibility for 1-5 years and see.

I keep saying this. As a woman, marriage is not your design. Getting married is not within your power. You can sleep with anyone you like and that's OK. You can club for as long as you want and that's OK. But when it comes to getting married, you have almost zero control. Most girls fail to understand this and allow themselves to be carried away by the attention they get from multiple partners. No be every toaster wan marry you. No be every man go like put you for house o. |
I came across this Facebook post this evening and it reminded me of my ex. In her words she wanted to get married before this year runs out. I tried everything to make her see reasons why this would not be possible for me and how long it might take. But everything fell on deaf ears. She has already made up her mind and I started noticing signs almost immediately. Suddenly everything turns to arguments. Suddenly every bounderies turns into "military zone" or I'm trying to control her. Suddenly she's breaking up over every little argument. She wanted out. 4 years relationship gone down the drain all because she became desperate to get married within the time line she set. She started talking with multiple guys trying to get one to marry her. I knew of 2 at Abuja then. One or two in my location. She eventually started sleeping with the one in my location. I couldn't take the disrespect anymore and had to break up with her. Painful but Mehn. It was a decision I had to make. Most girls think about marriage like they do sex. They think the same power they have to control sex (who to sleep with or not to sleep with) is the same power they will have over when to get married. Or when the man will propose. Till today she's not yet married. Till today my heart is still broken not like I care anymore. I'll rather my heart remain broken forever than make any effort to reconnect especially after that cheating episode. She tried apologising recently but god knows I'd rather just remain on my own now. Now here's another deluded one thinking she can just switch and become a Mrs by her own efforts

Anguldi:we know as e dey be na. Or na even one married man. It's always another married man once they leave marriage. It's a funny cycle to watch |
Yankiss:they don't earn that much. It's not an issue of mismanagement. |
We are seeing lots of changes lately and honestly it's beautiful. 1. New and better buttons Now share, like, and the page numbers are buttons instead of mere brackets (). It's beautiful. 2. Better nairaland logo Just this morning I was in class scrolling through nairaland and wondering why the logo is a poor image with background. But surprisingly the logo has been redesigned and now without the background. Sweet. 3. Light/dark mode button At the top, close to the logo, you'll see a new button which can toggle between light and dark mode. This is really necessary. I however wish the texts on the homepage in dark mode be white instead of the green color which doesn't stand out. 4. Separators now replaced with dots This is a good change and less confusing. Suggested changes I'll still like to see 1. The function buttons (e.g bold, italics, quote etc) in the area where we create threads are still images and not real buttons. In the dark mode we can see their outline and honestly they look ugly. Either turn them into actual buttons or remove the backgrounds from the images. 2. Link redirect Please make all links open in new pages. This has been a big issue and we have complained tire. If we click links they should open in a new tab to the other website and not take us away from nairaland. 3. Add a dislike button The need a way to easily show that we actually don't agree with certain things without being rude. |
What's the west obsession with putting women everywhere? They are easy to influence and control. |
Kwara ![]() Don't attempt to post censored words by misspelling them. |
Whobedatte:another brainwashed zombie. Is the aid from redcross? In every war zone foods are dropped to citizens all the time. Even deep on the Congo, foods are constantly dropped for civilians because everyone understands that starvation is inhuman. At least us who are still humans understand this. In Nigeria, when people get displaced due to conflict, people make donations to help prevent starvation. If Isreal searched the boat and there is no bad intentions you let them carry the foods in. Even the heartless terrorists in Somalia allows US government to constantly drop foods for their citizens. In the Rwanda massacre, even though the call them cockroaches they still allow them to be fed. Genocide that Isreal is perpetrating is unprecedented. Hitler is probably a child play compared to this evil currently going on. |
Baxilexi:we didn't know Hitler had gas chambers until he was caught. Then it's always too late. We know civilians are being killed including children by these animals called Israeli. It's not a matter of gas chambers. It's a matter of non military personnels being killed systematically to take something in this case their lands. The Fulanis tried a similar approach in benue state. Genocide is genocide regardless of the number. |
HelloWorld80011:let's assume it's hamas funding this. Is it a crime to float food to starving people. Everywhere Isreal say they are not attacking civilians but getting foods to them is always a problem. Hunger and starvation is worst than any weapon and Isreal is using that to kill innocent people. You are not as unbiased as you think |
So what are we supposed to do with this wonderful revelation from above? ![]() Please check the link in my signature pastor's if you click na ur problem o ![]() |
Lolz. So it's better for a man to be blinded forever than finding out the truth? How is God against seeking truth? This is wrong to think about. Na why we dey sin . Check my signature for link. Pastors and imans don't click ![]() |
