That's the same question I keep asking these people. Those records are kept for future purposes, especially for research. However, I want you to know that before he went to those clubs, and became a top player in Portugal, they have been successful teams. So going to those teams doesn't make any difference. How do you reconcile with the fact that most players who have played with Ronaldo tend to pick Messi ahead of him?

The fact that he stepped up his goal scoring tally two seasons before he left doesn't negate the statistics I stated. In fact, that buttresses my point which countered your initial point. Messi started scoring English teams even before Ronaldo left united. Have you forgotten his goals against Arsenal in the UCL and even against man united in the UCL final when Ronaldo was still there?

It doesn't matter if it's only the top 6 teams Messi can play against, it should even be harder for him to score against them. He picks on the so called top 6 teams like they're LA liga teams.
