komekn: They're not smart They are even dumber than I thought Whenever they tell me BAT will fix it...I ask them how ? They go mute No policies or framework to fix the mess the government created just within 6 months I asked what is the counter policy to floating the naira? None Many of them think the subsidy removal stayed? if the government has not done some thing underground we would've been buying fuel at 700+ plus now with the constant depreciation of the naira courtesy of the BAT policy of floating the innocent naira. So don't be surprised tomorrow should the government say there is still SUBSIDY of petrol Not even the CNG is harnessed. I expect the government right now to grant import reduction tarriffs on CNG used vehicles, increase the imoort duties on fuel only used vehicles. Work with Nigeria automobile to convert Nigeria vehicles to CNG with little or no cost. Deregulate the CNG downstream sector.... not only NIPCO allow other companies set up CNG stations nationwide. This was supposed to be done before subsidy removal but now all effort should be geared towards that sector. Industrialisation should be massively promoted and importation of some locally made substitute products should be banned. But with the lackadaisical and snail like movement of the government they're claiming will spearhead economic reforms i doubt if the sufferings will be curbed. Even senator oshomhole faults the nomination of a former bank executives as CBN Governor saying the CV of someone that once manage a liquidated bank does not speak well. Where as we have sound monetary economists in UI, UNIBEN,ABU, UNN, UNILAG etc Soludo was just 32 years professor of economists in UNN when Atiku introduced him to OBJ for nomination as CBN Governor and he remain the best till date 3 Likes 1 Share |

Marjoribanks: And you were asking; what has BAT done wrong in the last 6 months? I am sure from your comment it means you too don't like him/his government? You see tribal/partisan sentiments will always rob you of your reasoning and leave u with no respect. I am sure you buy fuel at 185 naira/per litre too 4 Likes |

Marjoribanks: Guy hold it What he is doing wrong? Who does float(devalue) the national currency in an economy that imports way more than it exports? Who does remove subsidies on fuel, education in the light of floating the national currency when same petroleum products are all imported? This is the worst economic footprints I have seen in my entire life. Floating a country currency only benefits when a country exports weigh more than her imports and her industrialization policies is in full swing It is revealing that you guys are unintelligent little wonder why you sing fhe praise of this government that have plugged millions of nigerians into extreme poverty in just 6 months You need to go learn the last time we float our currency it was in 2016 by Buhari and that was how the dollar surge beyond 360 naira only to hurriedly embarked on a currency (naira-yuan) swap deal with the aim to bypass the dollar in our trade relations with china and also to reduce the demand for dollars in foreign trade but it didn't work in the long run and ended up boasting the Chinese yuan instead because we imporf more from them than we export At least buhari tried to bail the naira now let's come to BAT government...what has the government done so far to bail the naira? 2 Likes |

Marjoribanks: So it is about proffering solutions to Nigeria problem? And you think amongst all the candidates that contested the last time...BAT was the solution to Nigeria's problem? It baffles me how you guys reason. I have been to many places in Nigeria. The south west is the most tribalistic region I have been to even in the churches. That's why I doubt the education and enlightenment claims...because if with education one can't make a rational decision deviod of tribalism that's nof education... 1 Like |

oloriooko:Sir it could be true. Many of them start to consider their option B country whenever their birth country refuse give them call ups I remember reading one of the Liverpool midfielder I can't spell his name properly i think Courtis talk of his nigeria heritage through his father/grand father. Berkely would have played for Nigeria had it been England delayed. They see Nigeria as a big football country in africa and consider it a big privilege to be linked to such a country besides their birth country |

Marjoribanks: The current tuition fee hike is just a test run remember BAT said the government will no longer fund the public universities anymore So from the information I got, should the recoup sum gotten from increased school fees not enough to match universities expenditures mostly recurrent expenses they'll increase further. Remember universities are now to fund themselves same with from next year Government will stop paying subventions for weac, NECO, jamb and other professional bodies .... meaning the fees will increase already at Federal government unity schools fees have been increased from 45k to 100K I saw you hailing Tinubu the other day, the thing is you guys don't have knowledge of the effect of his policies on Nigerians. Well, I wish u well BATIST 1 Like |

ecoco2014: And sbortly after the 3 featured home based players abscond to obscure leagues in Latvia, Bulgaria, Lithuania etc and the circle continues Just say you want the coach to use the national team market home based players to obscure leagues abroad because same home based players have not proved themselves in CHAN or CAF continental competitions to warrant this call... 1 Like |
