Am sure it wasnt too long ago that we drew 2 world cup qualifiers. Wasnt too long ago that we played a lot of friendlies under this our anointed coach as you make him out to be. Just before the Afcon, we sabi how our blood pressure was like. We know how much of low expectation we placed on this same team led by Peseiro. How we have so soon forgotten. Abi those chapters didnt exist ni? So suddenly we are coasting now and the Coach Peseiro is the best thing since sliced bread?

Lastly on the 2nd bolded, I stated my point which is plain and simple. There is no saltiness in what I said. If thats your idea of making a jibe, well its all good. Time will tell.

My point remains that Super eagles should not be complacent just because it's the Bafana bafana we are playing. We said a lot of stuff before the Ghana matches too. How we were gonna annihilate them. but we all know how it played out.

The reason why we drew those 2 matches most especially against Zimbabwe was because of Uzoho

Uzoho plans was to cost us the world cup

I didn't even mention Onuachu. And I've said it before that I prefer Iheanacho and Moffi. I don't even like what Onuachu comes in to do.

Aribo and Onauchu substitution is the issue I have with Pasiero and nothing else.

Those two guys are not supposed to be subbed on because they're not in this AFCON.

Yesterday I wish Tella or Fisayo was taken instead of Aribo and Musa.

Just read Ladan bosso has been reappointed as under 20 team coach.

Why can't them try Remo stars coach ?

Bosso is tactical deficient and his sectional team selection is not helping. He is too lazy to scout players all over Nigeria.

Some of this performing coaches in the NPFL like Remo stars coach deserve the chance

I just tire for this country

One thing is sure going into the match against SA, they gonna do operation Covid 19. Na total lockdown. I can promise you they won't come out to play. They don't seem to have any player with physicality and pace of Osimhen which is gonna be a big worry. They know that. Most likely tactic will be to hope we drag till Extra time and hopefully go into penalties. This is why all headers and flicks need to be on point for Naija. No gree for anybody. Make all set pieces and corner kicks count. No selfish play
Make una warn Moses well.

I love the way Iwobi shoots against Angola even though one of the shots was deflected. I pray he shots too against RSA who knows maybe one will enter and with one goal lead south Africa will be forced to come out and attack...then Lookman can use that to get some goals.

I pray Lookman scores...I want him to win golden booth

It's not about tasting action oo. There must be real practical reasons for them to come in. At Afcon 94, Rashidi played all the matches. I read you as if you are feeling sorry for Moffi and Iheanacho (unless I am wrong and I hope I am).

It's cliché to say you don't change a winning team or strategy. Sounds ordinary but if you try something else and dem knack you kpako, you will be filled with deep regret.

We forget that this strategy was adopted because of the glaring weakness of our team. And the weaknesses are still there oo but this strategy has enabled us manage them better.

The only reason why I'd call for Osimhen to be subbed are:
If he's tired or we are leading by at least two goals. No be to just remove am fiam just to give Iheanacho and Moffi play time oo. If you take unnecessary risk and e back fire, you go piss for pant.

If I am Peserio I will do exactly what he has been doing. Yes it's predictable but predictability of itself is not bad if your opponents don't have superior strategy to deal with you. Arjen Robben was highly predictable. Even you and me know say him go cut to his favorite left foot but oya stop am na. That's the rub.

So u will sub in Onauchu instead of Moffi for Oshimen whenever Oshimen is tired?
Who told we still can't initiate a counter in the 90+10 mins and Moffi with his pace and strength will be of help to utilise

It is a palpable that those clamoring for Osimhen to be benched don't mean well for Nigeria and they know what they're trying to do.

They know they won't be taken seriously if they make it obvious like one of them have done, so they approach in the guise of wanting to improve the team but without genuine intensions.

But thank God that no weapon formed against the Super Eagles shall prosper.

I am not asking for Oshimen to be benched but his energy should be preserved in 70-80mins substitute him for Moffi.

Moffi is not that bad and will start for any of the 3 teams in this semis. A striker of his calibre is can replace a tired Oshimen for 20mins and play well.

Why keep bringing in Aribo that offer nothing to the midfield even Onyedika is way better

codemaniacs:

You always wish evil against the Super Eagles.

Benching Osimhen during knockout stages will be a foolish move because it's Onuachu the coach will start and Onuachu doesn't play as if he wants to score goals.

It should have been tested in the group stages.

I wanted to see a fully energetic Osimhen come on in the 2nd as a sub against tired defenders in the 55th- 60 mins mark and see his impact as a substitute.

Because once Osimhen loses his energy and stamina in the 2nd half the Super Eagles attack dies off and with Onuachu as his replacement the SE is toothless.

Please someone should tell JPES to bring on Yusuf and Onyedika.

Aribo at worst should come on for Osimhen because once Aribo comes on as a midfielder the SE loses control of the midfield.

I don't believe Pasiero is that smart to rewatch matches and get matches analysis spot on.

No sound coach will keep putting in Aribo. Dude is not fit for afcon

Well Pasiero has never won a trophy in his life so he is been careful to at least win one with the super eagles

Yall dont lose any sleep with southy. They cannot escape the trashing.

I don't see anyone that can handle osimhen in that defense. We never even talk luqman.

As for ivory coast. We beat them before. We beat them again. They are not special.

The problem is not in having anyone that can't handle Oshimen in southy defense.

The big question is will osihmen score? Dude can miss a one on one with a goal keeper.

He is not clinical or a finisher only good in assist. If not for Lookman we would've been home by now

It's all risk. If Osimhen is subbed off 70 minutes, and the opposition scores or drags us to extra time, it will be dicey. That's why we need to bury our chances

So sir u think a player like Moffi can't wrap up the remaining 20+5 mins ?

U guys don't seems to understand that Pasiero is not substituting in the right players

Folks like Aribo or Onauchu are not supposed to be subbed in when u have the likes of Onyedika, Musa,Moffi and nacho on the bench even Bruno

Sure, I did. Did you watch Moffi's games this season? Can you tell me that with such a player, we would miss Osimhen a lot if Osimhen got injured?

Of course they are two different players so don't come and compare their speed and jump. But with Moffi's strengths in terms of ball tenacity, decision making, offside awareness/ positioning, accurate shooting, etc, I wouldn't lose any sleep if Osimhen was unavailable. And then there is Iheanacho, another potential CF.

Osimhen is highly replaceable, Sir.

I am not really happy with Pasiero not giving Moffi a playtime even if it is 10Mins. I understand sha the man has never won a laurel in all his coaching career sha. This is the first time...So he is trying to stick to his lucky team and subs

Onyeka is playing a different role from Iwobi. Iwobi's job is to control the game which comes with being efficient with passes. Onyeka is playing defensive midfield and back to back midfield. Iwobi was removed because after the first half he was spent and became a liability to the team. Onyeka held that midfield and controlled it after Iwobi was removed.

In case, you haven't noticed, Onyeka has stamped his influence and authority in that team. He is very key and almost irreplaceable in that team. Perhaps, his quiet nature isn't helping him.

I watched him deliver long and short accurate passes. He bossed that midfield yesterday. I think you guys have a preference for Iwobi for some reasons.

Onyeka is the spine of this squad!

Mazi do u really know football at all?

Iwobi is iireeplacable in that team. He connects the midfield and attack. Maybe when we get either of Eze or Olise then we can bench Iwobi that if they adapt to africa football

Iwobi fluid passes and football intelligence is uncommon. If u have any problem with him...That's fine but when it comes to the super eagles...give him his flowers

We hope this doesn’t affect us in the semis
Imagine being 1 goal up and the opponent score in 85th minute because coach doesn’t bring in fresh legs early
Momentum is a powerful force and it could adversely affect us
The game against Cameroon was better than what we saw against Angola
Our players seemed tired in the second half
Not covering enough distance
They need to up their game in the semis
I think the semis would be very tough and draining

To be honest with u
Pasiero is very annoying. Why remove Oshimen put in Onauchu? Can Onauchu get you goals had it been Angola later scored and dragged that game to extra time?

The coach need to understand Musa, Moffi and Iheancho abilities most especially Musa with Afcon experience

Imagine the experience Ekong brings. This would've been missed had it been he didn't include Ekong in the team
