Lol. I had botswanans around me on my last trip, they said 4hrs, whichever way, maybe you enter Council taxi for Marabstad Africankel: It's actually more than 4 hours. I think I left JHB by 10:30am and arrived Gaborone by 7pm. They have speed limits so the travel time is longer than what Google map says.
There's really nothing to see in the capital. Those interested in wild life will have to drive 13 - 15 hours up north to Karsana, it is amazing!!! Yeah, i learnt they have good wild life. On my next sa trip, i will do all those regions hopefully. when are you traveling kel? |

Maybe we should begin to encourage those intending SA applicants to consider Botswana too. It is just 4hr journey by road to SA. lol On my Last trip to SA, met so many Botswanans. Kel to flashed my memory back. |

Ok, its in Mai. Nice, I will follow up. Thank you boss Africankel: There's no fixed validity. But single entry has a maximum validity of one month, and three months for multiple. I paid for multiple entry the last time but was only given two weeks to enter (I was stamped in at the border for 5 days, coz that's how long I told them I was staying), But you cannot stay beyond 30 days.
This time I paid for single entry, but told the Consular to give me a minimum of one month to enter Bots (unlike the two weeks I got before), we'd actually become friends.
The visa is not sticker, just a stamp, same with Namibia and Jamaica.
Address is Oguta Lake, Maitama. I can't remember the house number. |

Yes, best advise. Do physical submission via vfs, help him with the link @kel, thanks Africankel: I'm actually not a fan of eVisa, thus have little or no knowledge how it works, @hunee can help in this regard. But since your travel date is in May, you should apply for a sticker visa as you have ample time to get it approved. |
Travel › Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 10:16pm On Mar 06, 2024 |
Visa validity is how many months, is it a sticker visa like sa too,Thanks for the number, i will call soonest. Can you also give a precise detail on their Address, where in Abuja is the embassy. Africankel: The Embassy is Abuja, little or no information on the Internet. But here's their telephone number:- 07034103830
Application is fairly straightforward... Basic visa documents. Hotel, flight, 6 months statement, evidence of work, two passport photos, itinerary (very important), introduction letter. Visa fee is 10k+ for single entry, 16k+ for multiple - they however advise that as a tourist, always apply for single entry, coz they don't see why a tourist needs a multiple entry visa. Thanks alot. |

Nne leave francr, they are notorious for such refusals. Re apply via spain route Marcgrace: Hello, has anyone had an experience with France visa refusals due to previously unused visa ?
In 2023, I got a one month France visa but I wasn't able to travel. After then my France visas have been refused based on, "There are reasonable doubts as to your intention to leave the territory of the Member States before the visa expires". Although I have been to France once on a 3 month multiple visa of which I stayed only a month and returned back.
I do not understand why my visa refusals are based on reasonable doubts as to your intention to leave the territory of the Member States before the visa expires while I have already had France visas twice ? |

For months, I and Kel have engaged many aspiring applicants here guiding them through the process for applying for visas, there was not a time we requested for a reward from anyone, that is on record. Please take note sir, as No one works for DHA or Evisa Department here, we are just helping others based on our travel experiences and exposures to visa applications. Again, You are not the first person to be refused a South African Visa, Many here have been refused, over the same issue, they re-applied and got the visa. You must understand that the process is not automatic and please, do not expect me to support you on this. I also informed you that i have also been refused a visa in the past, i felt very bad just like you are now, but i managed my disappointment, prepared myself better and i reapplied. My visa was approved subsequently. I did also acknowledge that SA has a very lackadaisical and non challant attitude towards applications. The South African Visa system is not 100% perfect Oh yes! antobogdan: @hunee. Oh please, stop with the nonsense. They have "quotas"? So you admit they take the money from the applicants and give decisions arbitrarily, regardless if the conditions are met or not? And you dare to defend them and call me "unprofessional/unethical" for exposing these fraudsters? Come on, have some decency, or do you work for them? Please do not mislead people, this EVISA system is anomalous, it is a bad joke. It is better to be avoided all the time. The employees that revise these applications are either incompetent or plain bad-intentioned. I have heard that for some countries there is no tax, well in that case it may be worth applying, but only if one has many months before the actual trip, and do not put any hope in their fairness. Anyway they approve/reject them on totally arbitrary basis., just like at the lottery. So, if one wants to test their luck, they can apply. For the ones that are required to pay the visa fee, pay with Wise and if the rejection is absurd, first contact DHA, and then file for a chargeback with Wise. My chargeback case was approved in under a day, but of course i sent them a 45 page pdf proving that i met all the conditions, they absurdly rejected and even had an unprofessional attitude.
As for me, i clearly said i do not apply again ever to this stupid eVisa system. I have two options: either apply at the nearest consulate, or just cancel the tickets. IT seems luck is on my side, because i have received recently a schedule change from the airline and i can get a full refund. Maybe that is the best idea. And i will choose another country that respects its visitors. These idiots from SA behave like they do the visitors a favor by granting them a VISA. When the visitors just come to spend their money in that failed country with a rate of criminality among the highest in the world, you have to "watch your back" every moment...Isn't it ridiculous? A joke of a country where people live in average just 50 years... Anyway, i just wanted to visit Cape Town for only 7 days, and in the winter...it was not even the best time, so i can simply cancel the tickets and go to beautiful Namibia instead, a country that is much more safe and you are not treated like a piece of dirt from the street by the retarded coruupt authorities like in SA. And visa is on arrival. Well, i do not want to get too long, but, beware, these guys from eVisa department are totally unprofessional, do not apply there for eVisa, just go to consulate or VFS. The earlier you understand that visa approvals is not automatic because you have a valid US and Australia visa, the better for you. Do have a great day and no further responses from me on this. You can still re apply, hopefully your visa get approved. Regards |

oluayebenz: @hunee. What's the process, stop supporting what's not right The process is that when you get rejected a visa, you re apply. I had rejections, I was disgruntled, unhappy with the process but later I realized and understood that I have no option but to re apply. Understand that embassy's and consulates also have a quota for visa approvals. I say to you sir and ma. Oluaye , you know I like constructive engagement. I am also very objective and factual. I say to you. No visa officer is under any applicant mandate to give them automatic approval. It is better you understand this process and re apply with a convincing appeal and hopefully you get an approval. There's no point tearing down the building. South Africa 🇿🇦 get their own for body, I acknowledged that above. |
Travel › Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 10:09am On Mar 02, 2024 |
Bros, Patience is key and clear understanding. First, I reiterate again, no visa officer is under the mandate to grant visa to an applicant. If your visa was approved, we prolly will not be hearing this. Re apply , I advise. I had similar thing in the past. I take disappointment and re inforce for another re application. I do not understand why you are so furious over a visa refusal. It is important you learn to handle rejections Sir. antobogdan: @hunee :Sorry, i do not agree with anything you said!! 1. Very unprofessional and unethical is only what that DHA employee wrote to me. 2. No, a normal/civilized/developed country has a clear procedure to grant/reject visas and follows it to the letter. Especially when they take your money in the form of the fee. They don;t just reject/approve them on an arbitrary basis like South Africa does.
So, please, do not come with things like this, i am not at the first visa application. I obtained the United States Visa just in a couple of minutes(they didn;t even asked for any bank statement, and it is for 10 years!!). I obtained an Australia Evisa in a matter of days. But these are developed states not failed states like SA!!!
3. Reapply on their absurd evisa system? Only if i have no respect for myself and my money for the fee...
I don;t get how someone could support what DHA does. But again, i don't know what country are your form, maybe this is the way of thinking there in Africa, that a country has its right to treat visa applicants like trash...maybe that's why the continent still stays in misery and undevelopment.... And yes, i will publish that print screen everywhere, in fact it is already on its way to many travel sites/media etc. So everybody knows that they treat applicants like shit, and to not waste their money and time with that catastrophe evisa system. Thank you!
And not, i am not mad anymore on the stupid DHA, especially as i have already obtained my tax fee back with a chargeback procedure. I am only writing this so it is one more case that proves their absurdity. Again, You have US, Aus , this visa and that, is not an automatic assurance. Many had schengen,Uk , Canada visas, been to so many countries, and their visas still get rejected. You need to understand the process, so you can handle rejections. It is not always an automatic thing! You try and you keep trying. Last , Very unprofessional and unethical - Feedback was from the other person not mine. I can not comment over a screenshot, i was not part of the conversation. Have a great day. |

What is your visa category? Goodmorning, You can send a mail to the embassy for that clarification. Abbaselder71: Dear Nairalanders. I applied for my PCC at the police headquarters in Kano. After the biometric capture, I received my PCC via email later that day. I printed it out and got it authenticated at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja. I wasnt given any hard copy of the PCC. I want to know if the Spanish Consulate in Lagos will accept it that way. |

If your visa was not approved sir, Kindly re-apply. I used to be very disgruntled in the past if such occurred to me, these days i have gone pass that level and i worry less about these kind of things. No embassy or consulate is mandated to grant anyone visa, they are at free-will to approve the visas of applicants. No one can hold them to ransom. It is their country. However, we must also acknowledged the lackadaisical attitude of the approving officers occasioned by a number of factors.
To cut this story short, Kindly re apply sir.

I have read many stories here of people buying tickets when visas are yet to be approved. Who do you blame? The ticketing sales person or the customer? It is very unprofessional for a ticket to be sold to a customer without a visa. Africankel: 1. Do not pay for tickets until a visa is approved. Reservation for him alone will suffice.
2. How old is he? If he's 18 and above, the hotel booking should be done in his name.
3. No need for the property documents. Your cover letter should however be detailed. And properly outlining your sponsorship of the trip. But everything is upside down in Nigeria and everyone wants to make money. Please await visa response until then, book on Travelbeta and get a dummy. You jst need a reservation kel, how far? |

Inaccurate. But it is ok if it comes that way, you should physically visit bls on more informations or do so by proxy , since they are not picking calls Abbaselder71: No, that is not the case. The company will only send you the authorisation of residence permit. The visa application procedure and the required documents are determined by the embassy/consulate |
