LordReed: . Don't deviate from your illustration. You gave the illustration, I only help you complete it. Your argument was that people weren't supposed to have different experiences of God. My addition is that people have differing experience including not seeing at all is an experience on its own. So if people told you they felt or experience something, and you don't have such. It's 4 things. It's either 1. they lied 2. Or you lied 3. Or you lack the ability to experience it 4. Or both of you are lying. In this discuss, I will go with the 3rd for an atheist. Constantly denying multiply people's experiences, even when it's from people you trust in other things around you, isn't smart enough. Even in secular world and science, repeatability of an experience is to prompt an investigation not a denial in its pattern. 1 Like |

freshalien: Me? Argument? You are the one who has argument to present. But your comments doesn't show you have carried out enough research to even be able to discuss properly on the facts of the scriptures. You have more work to do, it obvious.. Fir example, can you tell me where and how and what you study as research. |

ChiefSosa: So you can read Elon Musk usage of Noah as figurative to explain a truth but see Bible Noah as stories. Why don't you read Moses as same. Kindly pick your Bible now and start reading properly the way you read your books |

freshalien: Have you also presented something meaningful to place your argument well? You asked someone to proof a God to you? What happened to you doing your own research? Study? Traveling? You can't sit down in a corner waiting for a presenter. The wisdom you claim should tell you to find out things for yourself. No be so? 1 Like |

Franking: Laziness to read is hallmark of those who have your very experience. When you want things to happen like jazz, you will be sold a dummy to serve your desires. Why now blame those who exposed you to errors when they actually gave you what you craved for. You go to school and painstakingly study for years to become expert and professional. You work hard in life to achieve and get knowledge. You spent nights and burn candles to get secular knowledge. But when you carry a Bible, you want magic to happen and know it over night. Isn't that the same magic you were sold that got you to this point of falsely accusing the scriptures. It provides lack of depth, lack of conviction and much noise. Wake up man, you are smart, intelligent but don't be lazy. Read as one who is serious to know not as one who just want to be talking and make noise. . Presently, you won't stand a minute test of scrutiny of what you know about what you criticise. At that point, it can be very shameful and sad. But Brother, take the help. You will be grateful for it. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Franking: The way you read me shows you aren't patient enough. I never said to be a Christian you must be able to interpret scriptures well. Seems you are reading your mind. The obvious is you weren't taught well and that is what informed your disposition. I bet with you Sir, all your explanation above are only your imagination or that of one who taught you wrongly. The issue here is not a believe system. This issue here is knowledge problem. You aren't exposed to the right knowledge of a book yet you feel you know it and have made a decision about it. This is like a man who read Google map and start saying he now knows the road to every city of the world and doesn't need any assistance. Don't you think such can end up in an ocean, left in the white cold without help? This is the case of your conviction about the Bible. So I say again, the issue here isn't believe system, but knowledge. This is why you need to calm down. By the way, you read Moses as speaking of a talking snake? And others? In 2021? I never know people still read and interpret Bible this funny way. You need to calm down Bro and learn. Is that okay? 1 Like |

Franking: I say it again. You aren't an atheist. You are only looking for a group to identify with your troubled mind. I call such untrained psychologist. Nothing new is saying "I used to be a Christian". Being a Christian doesn't make you one that understands the scriptures. The scriptures must be learnt even by Christians. Now it's obvious in what you wrote that you weren't exposed to God's word at all, or better still you were exposed to man's imagination, false teaching using the scriptures. You will do well to calm down and understand what you don't know, then you can be a good critics. As it stands now, whatever you discuss will be based on false premise (wrong teaching, you were exposed to in your sojourn in "church gathering". Hope you get this now. 3 Likes |

Franking: What did we carry, what did we throw. (Kí la gbé, Kí la jù) Calm down Bro. Don't be troubled. It is obvious from your comment that you are one of those I referred to. You aren't an atheist. Stop speaking on what you don't know. You are only an untrained psychologist who believes he has found a new love. Your issues start and end in proper interpretation of the false information you are exposed to. What I expect from you is a discussion if you know you truly have a conviction and understand why well. So, why "strawmanning" me. I agreed with you that you were exposed to garbage and it's obvious in your comments and the verse you quoted. But the issue here is you are using that garbage to form a lifestyle, a conviction even though in opposite direction. That alone has left the foundation of your conviction wrong. Calm down and learn what the scriptures truly teach and rescue yourself from the cloud of false teaching and accusations. Then you can have a proper way of discussing your new found love. |

Blakjewelry: I mean, the story was in the Bible. But was Moses re explaining what was already in their culture. That will be foolishness. The story of creation existed before he was born, he didn't form it, he learnt. So now, the question is 1. Was Moses rewriting history to teach again what the audience already had in circulation. Note, the region and culture already have those stories in their day to day life. 2. Or was Moses using the prevailing stories in their time to communicate wisdom and the plan of his God. These are two different things. Don't forget, Moses wasn't a creationist or scientist.l,not even a story teller. He was a prophet. Hence his message must be read as what a prophet wrote not as a scientific discoveries or historian. Looking at how other Bible writers explained Moses, I guess you read Moses badly, and you may need to apologise to him what do you think. 1 Like |

1Sharon: Sis, don't celebrate this. It's still day. Most of those likes are from those I call untrained psychologist who camouflage as atheist. Those are people we have here. They are neither here or there. Move with the weather. Living a loud mouthed life but no conviction. Time is the test of such. Time breaks them, and instead for them to face it and brace up they find the next level, the next in-vogue. We have seen them come (with their likes/share) and go in this same forum. Only that their unannounced going is usually to change account or become special guest viewers. So, lots didn't loose their belief as you posit, they only get confused under life pressures and needed a cover to voice the confusion. NL is the cover, atheism is the slogan. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

LordReed: You left out a third individual which is central to this argument. Let me add it below (bold). ... either something is wrong with that method or with the individuals since they cannot agree on what they are experiencing. Or with a 3rd set of individuals who are not experiencing the God, since others are experiencing him but they dont. LordReed Five men who watch an event pass by, will give five different accounts of it, no matter how close their explanation are, their experiences will differ and will reflect in their explanations. Now imagine a sixth man, who chooses to close his eyes to the passing event. He will have no experience to share, nor even know such events ever happened. Mostly even argue about its existence, asking for objective evidence. This is the plight of an atheist. |

Sapiosexuality: The burden of God's morality is placed on a proper interpretation of his words by the reader. His words (or what is claimed as his words) in this case, the scriptures, are everywhere. The burden will be on the reader to read properly and find the intent of the author to understand what he says. But not to conjure assumptions and false information like burning forever. When this is done properly, you will reach the destination of your search and find the solution to the problem above. God is always good. 2 Likes |

Workch: Bro, you still haven't solve your problem and you will start throwing straw if we have to examine the place you are talking about. The issue with you is, you don't know how to read a book. You read books like someone extracting chorus from a full song. Without knowing the verses of the songs. Was Moses showing you what you just said? Did the other bible writers who quoted Moses interpreted that place as you did. Even if you can't read to know, why not examine other writers comment about the events before speaking out of context. When you turn the wisdom in literacy writing to comics, this is what you get. I have told you, that you are so still held under the same shackles of false teaching you tends to criticized, howbeit opposite direction. |

coolshegs1 It's is a round function. Replace your formula with this =Round((C8*D8*B8)*52/12,-1) You should have your answer. The function is to round to the nearest 10. I think there is also a way you can use the number format window to do this if you don't what to use function with formula showing. But I can't remember the number format syntax now. I guess that's what your original work used. Try check the custom Number format box settings of the original work. You will see the syntax. Just copy it and use in yours. Hope this help. |
