The problem with many of you here is that you don't read. You don't find out information by yourself. You just rely on hearsay. How difficult is it to read?
Start from page 1, read up all that you need to know - No.
Go to UK government website and read - No.
Don't argue when you're not informed - No.
And you're graduates!

Any University degree program is eligible for PSW, as long as you graduate.

Please am confused on decision about my family application, my wife sister resides in the UK and she's advising that my wife(student) apply for visa first and once her visa is out then myself and our Kids can then apply reason been that they may want to see home ties,POF in her account has more than enough fund to cover 4 of us to apply together ,we intend applying together wifey to do priority while myself and kids do standard but not am just confused..

If she apply alone now can myself and kids use same statement of account to apply for our own once her visa is out or fund must be move to my own account and count 28 days to apply (this is what someone is telling me).

Other parts of tech that folks should consider is the security, compliance and audit of IT; these areas are also in high demand as most IT professionals do not fancy career shift to them. Furthermore, a degree in Computer Science is not required to thrive in these roles.

IT Auditors - They initiate periodic review of IT processes, Infrastructure and Security; they are usually required in the Big4, IT consulting firms and companies with large staff/customer base. A professional certification called Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is usually required to be considered for the job role, while additional certifications like CISSP, CEH, CISM, ISO27001 LA.....may be required for knowledge purposes.


IT Risk/Compliance Analysts - Their responsibilities are closely related to that of IT Auditors, they provide guidance to IT/Security professionals on internal and regulatory compliance areas relating to IT processes, projects and general IT Infrastructure. Part of their responsibilities also involve identifying risk exposures, documenting them and recommending controls. Professional certifications required includes ISO27001 LI, ITIL, CRISC etc.

For those who are not tech savvy, you could consider switching to IT audit/compliance first, then evaluate the possibility of moving to information/cyber security later.

Career in the roles mentioned above is rewarding. I will be willing to provide more information on how to switch to them here, folks can also check online for more information.

I literally just said this: the reason I don’t participate in the student thread is because I get frustrated by how they forget that they are coming to study. I know some of them use it as a front to emigrate, but that’s more than 10k spent to not even get a good education, which could set you apart from others.

I know how many of my friends I’ve warned to not try this. You’re running from Nigeria and you now don’t plan well to come here. The result is that you remain in a particular “ok” job where you work to pay bills and not to actually live your life- hoping for a breakthrough.

I know family friends that I advise to do courses but they work so hard and don’t earn enough to afford the courses or even have the time to study- a vicious cycle— really not worth it.

Probably not an ‘assumption’.
Probably work was really poorly & haphazardly done.

Advice to students: When you are on Tier-4 visa, your school work should be the main thing. Any other side ‘hustle’ should be secondary.

TB test is not required at the POE. You can print your bank statement in case if they ask at the POE. You do not need to do another tb test
