Unik3030: only a fool will defy curfew, hard times call for hard measures. You are wrong. They can't all be fools. There was an announcement on radio yesterday where NMA was complaining that doctors and nurses were being assaulted by the military despite their ID cards. Some just have to leave their homes as a result of an emergency. It's better to defy a curfew order than to be a "fool" and die at home. |

Okoroawusa: Did you people even read what you posted? Did you read that report from beginning to end?
The Nigerian Army did not denying the shooting. They denied the massacre.
Even the report I just read placed the army there but they "fired into the air"..
There is no way anyone will change the definition of massacre. Was the army right in going there to shoot? No! I don't support that. Everybody have condemned it but was there a masscre? No!
That's my stand until someone goes into the dictionary and change the meaning of massacre. I remember them first saying it was fake news, that they were not at the venue, before Sanwo-Olu kept insisting that they were there. |

Benesis: What this people are doing is amazin, the truth is, people like these in other states may not get favors like these as greedy people will load everything for themselves
But then you will see people loading up trucks from the isolation centres, how different are they from our politicians who hoard things meant for lots of people.
Our churches and mosque need to preach on greed, on why we should take for ourselves and remain for others... The palliative where for the whole state but the governors hoarded them to be used for selfish political reasons. Now people got whim of it and will load trucks for themselves forgetting others.
Are we mostly not made from the same stock? We need to preach against greed, its whats killing us most...Love is all we need. God bless this ones. Don't mind them. See this old man sef |

dhantey324: It all started with a rumour that govt covid rice was in the warehouse. So I was just outside my house waiting for people to pass with the said rice. Bang. I started seeing people with gas cookers and ceiling fans. TF! It hit me.. People started telling them that they've stolen someone's sweat. Landlords were telling tenants not to bring those things into their houses. Some streets went as far as chasing some of the looters back. Others voluntarily returned it when dey saw the stupidity in their actions.
Yes, some might have made away with their loots because ojo barracks is kinda close to the area, u can't trust dem barracks kids. Also there's a waterside around there too. People may cross the water with their loot as well. They may be few but one can't rule that out. Some heartless ones among them as well might have held on to it too.
The maidguards there were initially overpowered to access the place. So they mobilized with others and recovered the loots. But the landlords and street people who condemned the actions of the looters went a long way.. I can estimate that about 70-85% of those items were returned. Wow! Thank God for those whose consciences are still intact and have not been seared. |

deewhydoski: Buhari agree to our terms and conditions?, Are u kidding me. From his speech u suppose to know the man no send anybody. The only way we can fight and win is for the youth to create their own political party and come out massively in 2023 to vote Not even sure how that third option can also work... reason being that our youths are not united. Some northerners believe it's a tribal thing, while some other youths as you can confirm on this platform are the ones doing massive PR damage control for these people. It's so glaring but rather unfortunate. It will definitely be really hard for youths to lead this country except for those youths whose politician parents hand over the batons to, corruption and all. Ade3131: I tried so hard not to quote you but my heart won't just let me.
Let's begin this way. How much exactly were you paid to insult our intelligence? I mean, what's the joy in deliberately taking side with wrong doing all bcuz of some selfish personal aggrandizement?
Let's say the truth here buddy... Deep down inside of you, do you really believe that bullets were shot at the protesters and no life was lost? Or you totally disagree that the military was present at the tollgate?
To make it clear, if you believe the military was at the tollgate, how did you reach this conclusion?were you there with them or you learnt so from the videos you saw online?
In continuation, if you do not believe the military was at the tollgate on the night, I think that's another topic for another day. And I won't wanna get caught up in a debate with you on that bcuz on the one hand you have the NA denying being at the scene and on the other hand you have the governor of the state saying the order to mobilize the officers to the tollgate was beyond him. Invariably, Sanwo-Olu was admitting the military went there. Unless you wanna claim you know more than the governor of the state. Please stop explaining joor! It's just a pity that most of the people doing these aggressive damage control are also youths. You know, those army's bullets can pierce the legs and other parts of the body but are not allowed to kill the protesters because their heads and other sensitive organs must surely be located somewhere under their feet, where the bullets can't touch. |

LadySarah: you ppl have already killed his spirit with your actions and mouth so also use the same mouth to bring him back.
Call him and have a talk with him. First apologise for everything then bring up something you have noticed he likes. Make him very free and relaxed. Assure him that it's OK to make mistakes and that you will help him through it.
Buy a cardboard paper of different colors, cut into squares and largely write nos and alphabets .They are called flashcards.
Playing also helps their brain. Reduce screen time to highest 2 hrs a day. playing should be outdoors where sand is. Playing with him will increase the bonding and make him more free with you.
For everyone he did correctly praise him,hug and give a high 5.If he fails, patiently explain again and guide him.
Don't forget the power of prayer. Goodluck Hmmm! Thank you ma. I will try the cardboard thing and everything you suggested. God bless you ma. |

Also educational materials help a lot, if you can afford them, buy them. Find ways to play with him also, play helps develop the brain too Okay, thanks |

Onyenna: As a kid, i had issues with numbers and reading as well.....
At some point, my dad gave my younger brother and i money to count..... I was 7yrs[primary 3] and he was 6yrs[primary 2]..... He counted it perfectly and i couldn't... My dad threatened to throw me outta the 2nd floor if i couldn't count the money.... I tried severally but couldn't.... He was so dissapointed and shouted at me all night...... But my mum kept on consoling me and told me I'd get better with time. She NEVER scolded me, not even once..... My siblings actually felt something was wrong with me.....
My dad later changed us to another school where i repeated primary 3.....
And guess what...... I became a mathematician before primary 6..... I was able to read anything readable.....[I aslo went for some mathematics competitions]
I'm now a mechanical engineer and doing very okay for myself....[i aslo taught myself python programming and a lil bit of web designing]...
That your child might actually turnout to be a genius in life.... Intellectually, some kids develop very early.... Some develop late..... Or very late..... Scolding that child will put fear in him and prevent him from learning at his own pace....
The fear my dad put in me actually delayed my learning..... Thank God for my mum oooh...... I understand what my dad was trying to do back then.... He wanted me to learn fast but didn't know my ability to learn back then as a 7 year old was quite slow..... I am really scared that I might instilled that fear in my kid. Is there a way to undo it? Please help. He gets scared whenever he wants to do his assignments. He has nearly the same issues that the OP's child too has and is already 4. Please advise. |
Crime › Re: Fagba, Iju-Ishaga Boils As Hausa And Yoruba Clash In Lagos by IamAsiri: 4:08pm On Oct 23, 2020 |
SpecialAdviser: As in. It always beat my imagination how most Yorubas will always see Igbos as their real enemies.
I advice all right thinking Igbos especially in Lagos to stay clear of further protests. Igbos never voted Buhari and I see no reason they will be in fore front dieing for the course. Am sorry to sound this way but recent events of accusing Igbos of burning down Lagos shows the extent of how myopic people can think. All over Igbo land, there were solidarity action for the Lekki killings.
How come people are stocking tribal tension between Igbos and Yorubas? For Igbos to have stood up against injustice of Lekki killings? All the videos we watched, its obvious the language of the hoodlums are Yorubas . Again Miyetti Allah have made it clear Tinubu is the one sponsoring #EndSARS. How come these people never attacked Miyetti Allah?
I think, it should be enough for the protest. Lets watch as Nigeria unfolds. All over South East, I know the level of tension we suffered in the past 2 days. I have never seen Igbos kill Yorubas anywhere in the east and I pray it will never happen. It will never be good for people trying to give this protest tribal dimension.
Nigeria urgently need either restructuring or break up. We are hardly one. Calm down jare . Majority of the Yorubas don't see this as an attempt by Igbos to destroy Yorubaland, except for few paranoid ones. It is very obvious the tribe that keeps opposing the #endsars protest. And for the aftermath of the lekki shootings, though the hoodlums took over, I believe it was because people were definitely angry, including some of these hoodlums. There's an adage that says "you don't beat a child and expect him/her not to cry". |
