Funny, churches are closed down for the past few weeks, infact it's considered one of the most vulnerable places the virus could easily spread.

Christians, like every other person's are losing their jobs and some can't even feed their families. And this one is talking about God changing the hearts of atheists on nairaland.

Just like a number of people here including you, I also got freed from religion a few years ago via Nairaland, and my journey out of religion also started around 6 years ago when I was rounding off with my BSc program.

Today, and for the past 2 years, I worship and pray to no god. However, during my research into the history of various religions, I read a lot of books in religion, science, philosophy, which has allowed me to learn of past civilizations and different extinct human or human-like species.

Based on the various literature I read and critiqued, homo sapiens are just one among many species of humans that this planet has served as a home for.

The entities people worship as gods and goddesses were beings that had once lived on this planet long, long ago.

A common mistake atheists make on seeing the sham religions are is to conclude those beings are simply a product of fiction or imagination of ignorant folks.

But like the religious people they criticize, I think they (atheists) are also close-minded concerning this aspect.

Atheists commonly assume religious people just woke up one day and started inventing names like Olohun, Allah, Jehovah, El, Ishtar, Mithra, etc.

But people that feel this way know little about history.

Even looking at your own name and its etimology, the ancient god El can be clearly seen in it. Just other names like ELohim, EL-Shaddai, IsraEL, RaphaEL, UriEL, and many others.

Personally, I have no doubt that those entities once existed on this plane based on different pieces of evidence. But that doesn't mean one should waste time worshipping any entity as god.

Life is a journey, and one should stay open-minded about things and regularly expose one's knowledge and beliefs to criticism to grow.

IMO, while being an atheist is far, far better than wallowing in slavery of religions, atheism itself has little questions to many key aspects about life.

What we supposed to be discussing is how the earth could be made one family, and we should forget about the past and concentrate on the future.
The system that led to those robberies should be severely scrutinized so it doesn't repeat itself.
Please when commenting try considering some who finds it hard to let bygone be bygone. You may not have anything to do with vengeance however the up coming generation might not let it go!

And as for racism you've confirmed that you've been infected for sure because when we talk about robbery, people have been robbing people for ages!

If your ancestors robbed my own ancestors some 300 years back, please is it possible for us to erase the memory and start living as a family?

Your thoughts on this issue really matters because our own generation have robbed most of these white people too so if we're to continue banking on the past, we will never overcome Racism!

Are God's attributes that's found in humans at birth, you'll notice that little children don't discriminate amongst themselves when playing together. The mutual understanding between these little angels transcends skin colour, language or social status, to them we are all equal.

However when we begin to grow there is this tendency to start developing close bond with people we know more than the ones who hardly know, and gradually we'll begin to favour some above others due to circumstances surrounding us!

That is where God comes in!

You can go back to your posts and see if you've not been infected with Racism and Politics. In most of your posts you often portray the white as thieves who have come to rob the blacks!

You even said blacks should think of how to develop their home land (specifically Nigeria) as if we are no more one human race!

If care is not taken, you'll find yourself in the midst of warmongers and racists killing your fellowman because of politics!

God's word said he (God) owns the whole earth so you don't need to keep thinking about a certain race as if they've been cheated, if some people aren't using their God's given brains to their own benefits nothing stops you from migrating to another place where people living there understands life better!

So humans were created to love one another but only God can teach us how to do so in a perfect sense!
