Bigots all over the place. You guys protesting as well as CAN should google the countries participating, Cameroun, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Uganda, Cote D'ivoire, Sierra Leone etc. Also,non-muslims participate in the tournament, so where did you guys see "Strictly for Muslim Countries"? Our bigotry and ethnicity and hatred is killing us. All these mofos shouting up and down here, if Saudi Petroleum or Dubai or Malaysian Govt should offer them a mouth watering job now now dem go pack themselves and family go there sharp sharp, you will not hear anything "Islam" but now they are here talking nonsense. Keep kwayetiii make i hear word abeg.
I can refer you to a link. An oil job in Syria. I'm sure you and your family will be willing to relocate there. Mouth watering job is not enough to surrender my religious freedom.

You seem to value money above your convictions and that is the weakness being exploited by the Islamic world to draw African secular states to OIC. Why is US, Britain, Germany, Russia not there or is it only for African countries? Wake up and smell the coffee bro.

Trump signed a travel ban the other day. Nigerians were shouting Ugandan saying America is implementing Muslim ban. But it's right for those same countries to coerce all their citizens into Islam using the constitution and power of state. Let's stop the hypocrisy.

Nigeria is neither a Christian nor Muslim state and we'll stand against any agenda to portray us as either. We will divide this country first before amending that section that guarantees Nigeria as a secular state.

Those pushing religious supremacist agenda should take note.

Even if Sharia and Islam is mentioned a million times it doesn't change the fact that Nigeria is a secular state. We will break this nation first before that section is amended. Until then OIC and Islamic sports federation should park well. CAN is on point

South East is a geographical location. It is not a people. In all the regions, you have people of all creed & persuasions, tribes and nationalities contributing one way or the other. I think everyone would agree that Igbos are the biggest contributors to the development of other regions.

However, a big and sincere question must be asked? Why are Igbos with all the wealth and power they control very unwilling to invest in the south east? It surely isn't enough to build mansions and hotels in our villages. Building a strong economic base is what is essential and entirety of Igbo must ignore whatever ploy or machination they feel the FG plots against them, and come together to construct an ambitious workable blueprint for its development. The time for whining is over. The people of SE are too rich to keep expecting crumbs from the FG.

As per what the states have on ground to show for the IGR, well if you look at those figures, you'd realise that the states with higher IGR usually end up with better infrastructure than those with less.Plus the faster the can wean off the FG's feeding bottle, the more likely their development would be hastened. Look at whats happening with Lagos!
Intelligent comment sir.

I like the FG feeding bottle and weaning part. So funny but true

Easy to see why they were tagged "medically unfit"

They are all from the south. Does that mean that nobody was medically unfit from the north? No Abubakar, or Mohammed on this list. Hmm...

If they were tested independently by a government hospital and certified OK then this sounds more like "Ethnically unfit" to me.

rose54321:
Well in all fairness to him, the Deputy Attorney General just got confirmed, in fact the Senate (the democrats majorly) have delayed most of Trumps appointees, this time with Obama over 70% of all nominees had been confirmed. The recommendation for Comey sack was written by the Ag. forwarded to Jeff Sessions and endorsed by Trump, so technically the delay could be as a result of this.

Anywho i agree sha that the diplomatic way would have been to discontinue his tenure in January when Trump assumed office, but regardless the public has lost confidence in Comey anyway, this was bound to happen.
I trust the Democrats will use this to their advantage, funny that Chuck Schumer who was calling for Comey's removal is now protesting the same.
You are on point Bro.

Comey testified under oath that he believed Hillary lied and leaked sensitive emails vital to national security. He recommended prosecution for Michael flyn for lying under oath about Russia connection but would not recommend same for Hillary Clinton who did worse.

Comey should know better. The head of FBI should be non partisan, fair and unbiased. There has been more noise about Trump-Russia but no one is asking how flyn was unmasked and who leaked the information to the Washington Post. Comey, saly Yates and Obama NSA have alot of explaining to do.

Anyway na naija I dey. How far with Ameachi matter?

Mcowubaba:
All this Tribal wars we keep fighting, that's what makes us weaker.
Yesterday it was labeled Edo Prostitute, some days ago it was Yoruba ritualist, today is Igbo drug dealer.

The elites in this Country survive and thrive based on the religious and tribal sentiments in the Country.

We will be shouting IPOB vs AFONJA, while a Politician in Enugu is planning on how to embezzle money with the help of a fellow Politician in Gombe and Osun state.

It's really a pity, why I have never complained of Racism is based on the fact that my own Country is very tribal and bigoted.
Why will I be offended if a Ukrainian man calls me Monkey angry when my fellow Countrymen call me worst names
.

Funny enough, most Nigerian immigrants are usually very united, I remember those days, we always gat each others back, watching out for your BROTHERS (fellow Nigerian), giving them info on new immigration laws, jobs and opportunities etc
Now,
It's really very shameful and sadistic, what Nigeria has turned out to be, an average Igbo person on Nairaland is cautious of a Yoruba person and vice versa.

Initially I thought tribal bigots were all Uneducated or illiterates, but I was very wrong, we have very educated and rich bigots in Nigeria.

The hostility is so repulsive.
No Nigerian living in Diaspora should complain about Racism, we don't have the moral standing as a Country.

The current President of Nigeria, fueled the Tribal and Ethnic Tension to an extreme level, I hate BUHARI, I won't lie about that, I don't wish him well. He is a deranged old fool, I don't hate or detest any Politician like I hate that Daura piglet

This is not tribal, I love people from his tribe, but Buhari himself is a definition of stupidity.
How can a President be this Useless, it's unacceptable
A truck load of complaint will only leave you more frustrated. If you are outside the country and you complain this much then I wonder what people like us would do.

Support restructuring. Let's practice true federalism. Let all geopolitical regions be independent with each region contributing to the centre from its own resources. Let's have a ceremonial President and a deligate single national assembly house without the jumbo pay. Slash political office holders salary to emphasize service and not money/power. Amend the constitution to accommodate referendum and independent candidature for people seeking election.

I personally think that any presidential candidate in 2019 must make a commitment to kick start the process of restructuring this country. The present setup is rigged and doomed to fail.

The open display of nepotism in appointments, resource allocation and government policies will never promote mutual trust. You can't ask people to shun their ethnic and religious differences while promoting Your Own ethnic and religious supremacist agenda

Youths!!! Face reality and stop deceiving yourselves.

MayorofLagos:
I continue to hammer on this issue for past two years. God forbid if Buhari passes, that the Northerners will agree to submit to Osinbajo leadership.

Osinbajo is not sorrounded with class and authority, at all!

Presidency comes with tradition and culture and in Nigeria Yoruba are the fashionistas, we command couture taste. In traditional Yoruba culture Osinbajo is not dressed formally in this picture. This appearance diminishes the grandeur that should naturally associatr with his office and role.

Imagine the VP of a western country coming out in ordinary shirt and tie, no suit...and does that everyday and wherever he goes and regardless of the occassion. The equivalent of that image is what Osinbajo does when he comes out in this taxi driver attire.

Now, who is that guy behind him in blue kaftan? It just gets worse!! In his case picture President of Nigeria visiting the West and the assistant to their President appears in the office with just shirt, no tie, no suit. Thats what we have here. Na.k.ed!! No style, just dry!

Very irritating! Tasteless, classless, devoid of any appeal...just dry! angry
I don't get your point sir.

White men invented suite and tie and they value it- it's like their native attire.

We have our native wears and you don't value it?

Travel › Re: UBER/TAXIFY Drivers Embark On A Strike Action Over Reduction In Fares, Others by Iamzik: 3:54pm On May 08, 2017
cogbuagu:
I'm an Uber Driver.
When I hard the news saying 40% fare cut down with out Uber them self cutting down their own 25% commission. I was like I'm finished and done driving under uber platform .

Is nothing but slavery.
Again Uber is greedy
Let us now look into it using my corolla

I covers average of 120 to 180 miles very day making 12 to 20k a day.
From that earning i Buy 4 to 5k fuel every day.

Now with this 40% reduction in fare i get mors riders as if it's Xmas season.
But now cover 200 to 250 miles a day.
Earn 8 to 13k a day, buy fuel of 7k daily

Here are the changes.
After a full day of hard serious driving I go home with like 4k. Well looking into it, 1k plus is toll paid.

And I have stressed my car almost times 2 of what I normally do.
That means increase in mantaince cost.

Uber is all about offering riders 5 star services.
With this fare reduction u are not happy and can't offer this 5 star services.

Uber promised 5k weekly if u drive 70 hours weekly
Tell me how can one drive 10 hours daily for 7 days just to get 5k bonus.

We drivers and partners don't want your bonus.
If you most cut fare by 40% cut your commission or app charge to 5%

Your 25% weighs too high!!
We don't need your bonuses because 70% of drivers can't meet it
Simply cut your commission to 5%

Imagine I picked up a rider from prime waters lekki to Oniru. Uber charges N455 Naira. The man shouted saying your phone is not working.
He gave me 1k said I should keep change.
I told told him that uber offers 40% fare reduction now.
Guess his response?

"This is slavery"
cry
Well explained. Now I understand. Uber should reduce its commission biko

These guys had sex with mistresses, baby mamas and slaves that they were not married to.... Yet not viewed/punished as sinners by god. CASE CLOSED!!!!
