I know Tinubu seems clueless on how to fix the country, even after he deceived Nigerian that he has a magic wand. But when did petrol get to N1,250. I still bought petrol for N650 yesterday.
God will surely punish all those that are wishing evil against the country cos their candidate lost the last election. Pally that is the landing cost considering the current exchange rate. You are buying it for 650 because they quietly went back to paying subsidy. When they can no longer pay the price will increase. Just brace yourself and don't be surprised when it happens |

Everyone knows no system is perfect and can excuse if necessary safety procedures adhered to and accidents happen, but in Nigeria there absolute disregard for human lives from those who should care and you shouldn't blame the citizens from being cynical about their country under that circumstance. APC people did not compare Nigeria to America when they paid all their citizens monthly for almost 2 years for COVID. They are always quick to compare when something bad happens People with sense will know that the bank wants the family to announce first. Everybody that is complaining today deep down they want the country to be l run the right way. when there is peace security and prosperity why won't you love your country? Someone who was robbed by police at gunpoint just for being young and driving a car went to the police to report and was locked up and frames for robbery. Despite all the call for justice the police officers kept their job. How can this person love a country like that. You think that US or UK got to where they are by clapping for clueless politicians. All the clapping you did for APC since 2015 how has it improved the country. Tell me just one thing that APC has done to better the lives of Nigerians since 2015. Tinubu is trying so hard to maintain the illusion. But as you can see cracks are appearing
It is time we all accepted fuel was never cheap in the first place. Maintaining the illusion has cost us billions of naira and four refineres. What is the meaning of illusion for a nation that has crude oil in a abundance? What is the use of a government that has zero benefit to citizens? More land-grabbing under whatever guise is completely unacceptable, Israel should withdraw its troops immediately after the war and allow Palestinians to return to their land.

Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Ibiyeomie Warns Drummers And Other Church Workers by Iamzik: 6:00pm On Jan 31, 2024 |
Gerrard59: Thank you for your explanation.
Apologies for the question, but since it is an anonymous forum; why did you leave those churches? If it was based on relocation, why did you leave the north? How come those churches are not popular amongst Christians in the south? How come they don't have branches in major cities in the south (apart from cosmopolitan Lagos)? Finally, what is your opinion about the young women who are members? Say compared to their counterparts in those other churches I mentioned. ECWA was established by the Sudan Interior Missionaries who worked predominantly in the north while the baptism/Methodist missionaries workes in the south West. So that explains why you won't find much of ECWA, COCIN ERCC etc in the south. Just a handful of them are here and like I said they don't believe in opening too many branches. So when you move from north to south you're most likely to change church. I don't know why you asked specifically about young women (oya talk true)🤣 Well, Young ladies in those churches are very traditional and homely. The church doesn't allow women to wear trousers or dress provocatively. Just be modest. Single women are allowed to join the women fellowship so that is one avenue for mentorship and guidance. As in every population there will be an outlier but most young Christian women from the north are discent. Lemme stop here |

If we get it right, other countries will come to study our model. Books will be written bout us. A greater Nigeria awaits us. You need to first stop NURTW from collecting illegal taxes from drivers first |
Politics › Re: Senate Passes Sen Ashiru's Bill To Establish National Road Transport Council by Iamzik: 6:34pm On Jan 30, 2024 |
Rekyz: This makes a whole lot of sense. There is every need for the road transport industry to be regulated. If established, the council should ensure that cost of transportation is reduced and FG should also fulfill the promise of reducing petrol prices. I don't think that cost of transportation will reduce unless this new council can do away with touts and cancel state sponsored NURTW. I don't see that happening, instead transportation fare is likely to increase because the council will also introduce a federal tax in addition to what transporters currently pay state and local council plus agberos. My opinion |
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Ibiyeomie Warns Drummers And Other Church Workers by Iamzik: 6:17pm On Jan 30, 2024 |
Gerrard59: OK. Thank you for the explanation. So, what makes ECWA or COCIN in this case, different from the likes of RCCG, Winners Chapel, Salvation Ministries, Christ Embassy and the numerous churches in Nigeria? Orthodox churches are considered to be more rigid in their church doctrine. You can't just wake up and open a church and call yourself a pastor. You must attend a seminary for years and learn under a senior pastor. They are not sensational or show oriented and they are generally more focused on teaching doctrine and church welfare than building multiple branches in every city or flying private jets. I'm sure you don't know the name of ECWA president cos he's not popular and it's deliberate. There is no emphasis on prosperity preaching or seed sowing. When there's a need the church secretary will announce and people will give willingly as the have. No cajoling, guilt tripping or compulsion. Every baptised member gets a copy of the church financial statement in hardcopy with statement of income and expenditure. Church finance management is very transparent |
