Neoteny7: It's a bit complicated because there's historical animosity.
But for the most recent event, some people in Bokkos killed some fulanis, stole their cows and sold them in Mangu. Some good people in Bokkos, knowing fully well the vicious revenge doctrine of the fulanis, assisted some herders and traced the stolen cows to Mangu, where they fought with the thieves and retrieved the livestock.
According to someone in the security agencies, there was a meeting with people from both sides on how to go about peacefully, but some youth again killed some fulanis, who swore vengeance and then attacked about a week later.
That's as far as I learned from authoritative sources. However, there's also an existing history of the fulanis sometimes ravaging the crops and livelihoods of the natives and attacking them when they complain...also the fulanis suffer theft of their livestock and frequent attacks, so it's difficult to say exactly who's the main culprit in the context of long running confrontations and cycle of violent revenge.
The government doesn't seem to be doing much to end the violence.
Disclaimer: I'm fulani and live in Jos, and i consider all life precious. Let the fulanis build a ranch stop roaming into people's farms |

Jeezuzpick: So......?
In this case, I think it should be an issue of whether the FG was right or not, instead of how many people are affected.
What of the effect of thousands of potentially unfit "professionals" dumped on the Nigerian populace?
It's too bad this is where we are as a country, though.
Let there be thorough investigation. Maybe a regularisation system should be put in place for the current graduates and students from those schools, after which an absolute ban should be in place. Are you aware that Nigeria education system has a bad reputation in the west and in Africa? WES verification for Nigeria degree is more stringent but they will verify it eventually. Do you think that other countries should place a blanket ban on all Nigerian universities? |

Kubernetes: You don't talk this way bro. The Quran and Islam detests such acts of terrorism. Any act that causes unjust killing is not allowed. As such, always blame the people and not the religion. Every religion has its own black sheep. For example, your Pope said Men can now marry one another, but is that in the Bible? I guess no, so will i blame Christianity for what the Pope said? Naa, i will only blame the Pope.
In summary, Islam is very clear about everything. Don't blame Islam, if a Muslim detonates himself with a bomb, even though it could been an outside enemy that hatched it What do you mean by blame the people and not the religion? Is it not stated clearly that you should persecute all unbelievers? You people who claim to be moderate Muslims are the real problems. I prefer the fundamentalists and self declared jihadists who make their intentions clear from the get go. There is no other religion in the world today that publicly endorses killing of "unbelievers" besides Islam. Prove me wrong if you can |

Lifeinlight: Yes, you're right. But we all know how some men throw out their wives in Nigeria after building with him for many years. If same scenario happened to Men abroad, some men will be crying on behalf of the man that got thrown out, and i begin to wonder if it's not same thing some of these men practice in Nigeria to women Bro the thing is that most Nigerian men do not realize that the law in western countries sees the women as the head of the home sort of. They realise when it's too late. I know someone who had serious issues with his wife here but foolishly sold properties and resigned his job, sponsored the woman for masters only for the woman to show him pepper abroad. Even people who have settled homes are not guaranteed how much more a man that is not at peace with his wife back home. Marriage/relationship is a risk. One need to be wise before taking some decisions |

santaclaws: Most Nigerian men nowadays aren't even looking for ladies to build with, they wanna make their money before settling down and that's why a lot of ladies in their 30s are complaining that men don't wanna get married.
At the end of the day, ladies are the ones being affected the most. 🤷🏾♂️ This is the trend. Men are no longer under pressure to marry again. A man can get married at anytime really why tie yourself down with someone who doesn't believe in you? You can use that time to pursue your career or business and get well established. Younger women will always be available. Women who are your age will also pursue older rich men. That's how the story goes... |

vanitybutiwanti: It's not right but the person that was rigged in is now a Saint to you guys, I wonder if you will maintain the same position if your father or brother is made governor through the same procedure This is the problem with nigerians. You don't hate corruption. You just don't like it because you or your family members are not benefitting. Both wike and fubara are crooks. Fubara is governor today why won't wike allow him to be governor because he wants a large chunk of rivers money on a monthly basis. That is the cause of this whole fight and anybody supporting wike is a rogue. And yes I will maintain the same position wether it is you or my family member. Nigeria will never get better if we keep having this mentality of "me and my family" at the expense of the common good of society. This is why when we call out bad governance and bad policy supporters of APC will tell you that the government will benefit them and their families as 8f there is separate market, exchange rate or filling station for APC supporters. Why? Only foolish men get thrown out abroad. Cold hard fact. I even heard of one who foot the entire bill with his wife as the main immigrant when they are not in good terms from Nigeria. Foolish decisions will always guarantee unpleasant outcome This is for those who have ears and I say this irrespective of gender. If you and your spouse are always at loggerheads in Nigeria, if you have deep rooted unresolved issue do not take him/her abroad or better still send him/her abroad, and stay back and visit. A word is enough for the wise! |

Aaaaarghmed: From experience, people change.Maturity is important and people should love genuinely not fake.Everyone is giving out limited emotions nowadays. Many fake people than real people.I had someone years back who we were assisting and helping ourselves with good mind, but as usual,if woman dey assist you,you no go hear word again,as a man if you are broke and dating, dont be broke for long.she will gbaga.I was broke for long, but I kept reassuring her to be patient ,because i had visions,i had plans,i was striving very hard, she saw it and she knew i am not lazy. But women must listen to outsiders, who will want to crash any good thing, she listened at the end.As God will have it ,all the big plans we usually discuss even as money no dey,I don achieve dem.sometimes,e dey pain me say she no trust me upon all the re assurances. Now,I would have given her all she asked for. This is a lady that follow me to trek in wuse 2 to be submitting my cv for job,we trek from afternoon till evening. She really tried, but people no allow us rest.Dem poison her mind.To see a strong and matured lady who will build with you no easy.Am not blaming ladies, I know some guys after having money, abandon ladies too.i just wrote a snippet of my experience with the only lady who would have had access to everthing I have in this life, only if she believed in me till the end. Very relatable. I advise you reconsider her if she's still available. She had faith in you but was discouraged. Sometimes ladies are encouraged when they see evidence that your efforts are yielding fruit. I feel she will make a better partner than another lady that will meet you as "ready made" I hope you understand what I'm saying |

Non of them have solutions to It not even the state gov the only solution is the people The religious and ethnic cleansing started under Buhari with support of government and security agencies. Security agencies will be deaf and blind when the fulanis attack but as soon as the locals want to launch reprisal these security agencies will be posted to the area to suppress the locals. The killers escape and return more emboldened. Rinse and repeat until the locals are systematically chased away from their land into IDP camp. No single Fulani hearsman has been arrested, prosecuted or sentenced to death to serve as deterrent to others. APC is demonic party |
