We cannot play 3-4-3 with our current midfield, simple.
What Conte is saying is that 3-4-3 has failed in the hands of Donkeyoko and Fabregas, and he cannot afford to play 3-4-3 with those two clowns manning our midfield. So 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 doesn't matter with our current players. He plays 3-5-2 to find balance because both Yoko and Fabregas are incompetent.
Conte on 3-5-2 vs 3-4-3: "Don't forget last season we had different players".
This is the best he can say without throwing Donkeyoko and Fibreglass under the bus. Useless midfielders.

Chelseafan1: Don't be stupiid, Fabregas isn't meant to defend, he's an attacker, a creator.
If we needed someone else to replace Matic in his defensive duties, should be someone better than Matic.
Stop asking me foolish questions.
I'm done here. Excuse me, where on the pitch does Fabregas play. Fabregas is the reason we play that Donkeyoko if you don't know cos Fabregas is not robust enough to play in a 2 man midfield. This is what experienced people were trying to tell you last season while you kept bleating on and disturbing us every game. If Fabregas could do Matic job, then Pedro would be on the pitch helping with goalscoring duties. Instead what we have is 2 central midfielders totally unfit for purpose. Fabregas unfit to stabilise the midfield, and Donkeyoko unfit to play in central midfield so being pushed to AM where he is equally unfit to create chances or score goals. |

Chelseafan1: We were rather unfortunate to have that donkey as his replacement, there's nothing special about Matic biko,
If he had signed for city, Ibime would be hailing him as the missing link in their midfield, his team is still trailing city by more than 12 points.
You've suddenly forgotten how he was becoming an eye-sore towards the end of last season. OK, Yoko is a donkey. Why can't Fabregas replicate Matics work as you were disturbing us last season. |

Chelseafan1: See as dem just dey crowd out our few attackers.
I'm just tayad of too many defenders players in this team jare.
Make we try attacking style abeg. You would not see that your current midfielders cannot play in 2 man midfield and allow Chelsea to play more forwards. Your Oga Fabregas is a failure. |

Chelseafan1: Matic was strolling with Kante doing his job, offensively Fabregas was better than he.
Simple as ABC.
I ain't tendering any apology, I have apologised about the stupiid yoko, not Fabregas.
Matic can go fvck himself. Sharraaaaaap. All Chelseas struggles this season is because they do not have a partner for Kante that would allow them to play 3 forwards. That is the biggest change from last season and why we only have Hazard and Morata upfront. Fabregas has failed terrifically. During all your rants last season, I knew those are rants of an inexperienced football watcher. There are some things that you can only learn from experience. |

Chelseafan1: Hazard made the biggest mistake of his life joining Chelsea in 2012.
I pity his career if he ends it in this team. Stop focussing on Hazard. I remember every match how you used to disturb us for Fabregas to start instead of Matic last season. You need to apologise for giving us such headaches. There are some things experienced people will understand that you will not. |

raumdeuter: Juventus: Antonio Conte quits as coach of Italian champions July 15 2014 http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/28320845
The Spanish striker completes a permanent switch from Real Madrid, signing a five-year contract with the Bianconeri July 19 2014 http://www.juventus.com/en/news/news/2014/morata-signs-for-juventus.php
See the person getting his facts lying that Conte that already quit 5 days earlier was the one who signed Morata. airmark: He added: "Conte is the manager who most 'bet' on me, without even ever having had me in his team. I'm very conscious of that: he bet on me for Juventus but left before I arrived; then he wanted me at Chelsea come what may. He knows me better than I could imagine, I'm sure, and that's important: it motivates you to work hard, train well.''
"I feel indebted to him because he's the coach that most trusted in me, most wanted me, who made me feel I could perform at the highest level. And yet I've never had the fortune to actually work with him. I'm sure sooner or later I will. In Aparis world, buying a footballer is like going to market to pick bend-down select. So because Conte left 5 days before Morata arrived, Conte cannot have signed Morata. Is he buying crayfish? Abeg how did Apari qualify for green card sef? No wonder when we told Apari that Emenalo had been chasing Andre Schurrle for 12 months before Mourinho arrived at Chelsea, he still insisted Schurrle is a Jose signing. There are things football fans will know and understand, that are beyond Aparis bend-down select mentality. |

diggz: We are definitely missing the presence of players who will guarantee us 20plus goals in a season.
When drogba was here,we had lampard, anelka and fvcking kalou sharing the burden of scoring goals.
Even with fernadud here, we had drogba, kalou ,Sturridge, lampard and Terry contributing goals.
This particular team lacks goal scoring threats....hazard,morata,pedro and willian will need to do better....or we may have to start looking for players who can contribute goals from their positions. We are definitely missing a midfielder who can score goals.... Which is why the 3-4-3 adds another goalscoring body to the mix. I don't know how we plan to keep winning with only 2 men getting in the box (Hazard and Morata), both of whom are completely off goalscoring form. We need an extra goalscorer with them, either Pedro or Willian. The problem is we no longer have the midfield to play with only 2 CMs. All our CMs except Kante cannot play in a 2 successfully. Drinkbleach maybe, but that remains to be seen based on his performance yesterday. |

Peps performance at Bayern is 3 league titles and 3 semi finals, Currently at City he is setting an all time record Local talks. Mourinho took Porto a severe underdog to back-to-back Europa and UCL. Mourinho took Inter an underdog to UCL. Pep took Bayern, only a slight underdog to UCL disgrace. Pep took Man City, an underdog to UCL disgrace. Peps greatness only comes when his players are greater. Because Ribery and Robben are not as great as Messi and Ronaldo, Pep disgraced Bayern. Peps performance with underdog teams Bayern and Man City 1st year is to disgrace them.
Where Pep is great is in taking a team with better attacking players and make them even more dominant. However if the attacking players in Pep team are not clearly better than the opponents, he will turn them into laughing stock.

Nihilist: Chances conceded through the centre last season: 41 Chances conceded through the centre this season: 29 Improvement through the centre = 29% Nihilist: Man City chances conceded in left/right flanks at this point last season 46/42 Man City chances conceded in left/right flanks this season 35/29 Improvement on the flanks = 27% So pointing to the improvement on the flanks in isolation is biased reporting when there is a bigger improvement through the centre. The key improvement has been in midfield. I dare say any possession opponents get against City these days is in their own half, much more so than last season, and that is because they are feeling the heat from midfield and uptop, not because a team will live or die based on whether Kolarov is the fullback as opposed to Delph. |
