Its an OK signing. Can be quite a good signing if deployed as a wing-forward as he can dribble and cross, and is quite powerful to literally run through people.

One will also think we should be looking at more natural options for the wings e.g mahrez or Zaha and co.... Dunno sha...but I can't really see what Barkley will add to the team.

Barkley being slow is news to me. His main skill is dribbling. He gets away from players easily but his passing in the CAM position is not up to scratch. Either side of the striker in a 3-4-3 is the only use for him.

Barkley should only be used as a winger. He can excel there. He has no vision to play a CAM position.

In Chelsea, any manager that gets the player they recommended must make that player work otherwise Board will not allow him make a signing again. To get a signing out of Chelsea board is like drawing blood from a stone. Contes reputation in that power struggle literally relies on making Baka work.
