MaziOmenuko:Aguero has burnt two of my seasons in the past. If you dont have him at the right time, he will weigh you down. |
ESPN journalist speaking the absolute truth. . . some mates wey no sabi football cant see it. . . Emenalo, diaris God o! Mourinho left a mess at Stamford Bridge but the former manager inherited a squad that lacked coherence. The transfer policy that has been conducted since his first departure in 2007 has a greater emphasis on talent than effectiveness. For Chelsea to regain true heavyweight status, the next permanent manager must convince Roman Abramovich to balance his desire for star names in blue shirts with the demands of collective performance. The Russian owner's eagerness to create a team of entertainers suddenly seems like an anachronistic policy. A decade ago, the gap in financial resources between Chelsea and most of their rivals in the Premier League created a chasm in ability and as a result, the west London club could bully most clubs on and off the pitch. The recent television deals have levelled the fiscal playing field -- an influx of more talented players have transformed the so-called "lesser" sides in England's top flight and artistry is less of an advantage. Chelsea have too much talent now and cramming it into one team is not working. There will always be days when the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Pedro and Cesc Fabregas will destroy an opponent but a lack of "water carriers" tends to betray a side, especially in a frantically-paced division. Roman Abramovich has spent years buying superstars but the league's catching up, requiring a different approach. Against this backdrop, winning the title last season is arguably Mourinho's greatest achievement. Nemanja Matic and Fabregas were the engine room of the midfield in 2014-15 but have misfired badly this season. Chelsea are routinely outmanned in the middle of the park. The Serbia midfielder is a little one-paced and one-dimensional. Opponents have worked out how to deal with him. Matic at least looks like he cares, though Fabregas has been one of the disappointments of the campaign. Chelsea have spent years buying for the owner's imagination but the next manager will need to find a balance that's been lacking at the Bridge. The time of fantasy football is over. |
FBS:I no get business with Mangala abeg except commenting when he pocketed Diego Costa last season which was the first time I saw him play. I dont know that nigga. I deny am like Peter the disciple! |
Chai KDB don fall my hand finish. Even yellow card |
Griffon:I don already hammer. . . anything more na jara |
66 points with captain De Bruyne and Mahrez still to play. |
Matic, your fada!!! |
Nihilist:What of Traore? |
Please, is Remy injured or something. . . cos I see no gain in playing with no striker here |
Wrong captain choice every week. Took armband off Lukaku this morning |
Now @ no21 in the log. Operation top 16 by 2016 is now in effect |
elampiro:In other words, Rooneys greatest ever season just about equals RVPs first season at Utd. Omo any strikers who scores winning goals in 9 matches a season is as good as gold. |
It would be impolite of me not to collect my |
elampiro:Hmmmmm. . . . Any striker whose goals win you 9 games a season has had a FANTASTIC season. |
tr3y:No. Im winning my cup matches. I just dey vex say I captain Lukaku. |
A good week ruined by a poor captain choice. |
Nihilist:Ogbeni, go and sit down jor. Which team have we not outplayed this season except Arsenal and City? Must we score 3 times to win every match? You made this childish stance. . . . so as per your wish. . . . Nihilist: |
Nihilist:Like I said, we who know our football dont shake over one game. You are the one who came crowing as soon as Chelsea scored. I am not as fickle as you. We are supposed to create chances against Watford as we are the bigger and better team. What we shouldnt be doing is conceding 6 or 7 chances on our goal. We have conceded twice at home with numerous chances ceded and the midfielder was hauled off at half time and you still have the gall to claim this is a midfield fit for Chelsea. |
Nihilist:I think you are arguing with yourself. We who know tactics dont make statements over one game. Reminds me of when Griffon and Nateevs would foolishly argue that Mikel and Ramires are good enough if we only bench Lampard. . . just because they won one game. In the long term, we saw how foolish those arguments were. We who know what we are talking about dont shake with the wind over one game . . . as you foolishly did by claiming we should quote you if Chelsea lose. As it is, Guus has immediately recognised this teams major problem is midfield by taking off Fab4 at halftime. . . what he will find is that the Mikel he just brought on is also useless. We even get luck say Ighalo has been wasteful and Capoue has missed 2 clear chances. Even still, they are leading. Their midfield has also been more stable than ours. |
Bashmantech:Yes of course it was easy then With over 3 million players and I made it to the final 64. Where you finish that year? Hater. |
hensben:Keep confusing yourself. Another attacking midfielder is just a small marginal gain for Chelsea. It will not solve our problems. He cannot be way better than Willian, Oscar, Pedro and Hazard. Some of our current AMs are even his seniors in Brazil team. A new central midfielder and striker however will be a great gain because that is where our problems lie, not in buying another PHUCKING WINGER. |
Dhelake:All na the same thing. . . he is an AMRLC. . . .another one to add to the hundreds we have, and he will finish either Oscar, Pedro, Willian, Kenedy, Traore or Musondas Chelseas career. . . . because obviously, attacking midfield/wingers is always where our problem lies in Emenalos head. |
bigkesh:No we are signing him because Emenalo believes ALWAYS that the answer is always getting another winger. De Bruyne, Schurrle, Moses, Marin, Salah, Atsu and Cuadrado have already been sacrificed on this alter of stupidity and Pedro, Willian, Traore, Musonda and Kenedy's futures will also be sacrificed on the alter of Teixeira, yet the same inconsistencies will remain. One would think having a 3rd winger like Salomon Kalou was not good enough in the past. debosky:If you are not a buffoon, I dont know who is. Is Ibime calling Chelsea a team of ninnies a new phenomenom? Merry Christmas! |
lalaboi:Before nko? You think say na yam to win 14 Gameweeks in a row? |
Im the Nairalander with the best record in global cup. I actually made it all the way to GW32 back in 2010. |
Hahahaha. Charly Musonda na bastard. That training ground fight last week was due to Musonda heighting Fabregas then nutmegging him on the other side. Fabregas vex come kick the boy leading to fight between the senior team and the under 21s. |
nateevs:We have debated this extensively and you were one of the naysayers when Emenalo did the same to RDM, even going as far as telling us that Mike Powell is Emenalos boss. Hahahaha. Remember that? You are chatting rubbish about Mikel joining Fernebahce. Emenalo deliberately jacked the price of Mikel to $15m so as not to sell Mikel. It was a game they were playing with Jose after Jose requested Mikel be sold. Mikel that is about to have twins with this Russian billionaire girlfriend and his brother sell him away to Turkey or Dubai? ![]() The difference between us is that we both read the same thing but you don't see what is going on, or refuse to cede the truth. There was never any offer for Mikel because of the price Emenalo deliberately put on his head to keep him. So why don't we hear it from Fernebahce President himself: http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2015/7/12/8936415/chelsea-want-35m-for-mikel-says-fenerbahce-chairman “Chelsea want €15 million and Mikel asked for €5 million a season over four years. We are talking €35 million. That is not possible” Yildirim told reporters at their Topuk Yayla training ground. You've been on the wrong side of the debate from RDM times. Mikel is out of here for free transfer left to Jose. As for Jose wanting Pogba you may have a point. That is the point of starting your transfer window in June but no, Emenalo blocked all transfer negotiations until Roman released him to go negotiate for Pogba after the Man City defeat. If bids had been made for Pogba in a timely fashion and rejected, then you identify replacements and have time to buy. Thats why Witsel was no2 on the list but by the final week when Roman gave the green light, Zenith said its too late for them to find replacement. That is how transfer market works. Who was Emenalo's alternative to Pogba? Emenalo has no interest in replacing Mikel. Full stop. We could talk about Baba Rahman - Mourinho wanted Danny Rose, they argued and Emenalo signed Rahman. Mourinho identified (1.) Stones and (2.) Aldeweireld in that order - by the time Emenalo shuffled his feet to move on Stones, Aldeweireld was gone. This is how transfer market works, so save the nonsense for the kids. I would never claim JM has a wide array of transfer targets. He is not a scout. His job does not allow him watch evey game in every league. But you can go back in history and check the calibre of player JM bought - Drogba, Essien, Ballack, Carvalho, Cole etc. They were expensive but extremely solid niggas we got 10 years out of. At some point we stopped spending money because these niggas did the job year after year. When a coach identifies a need, sometimes it is only that player that can do what he wants tactically. Just like Bayern must have Javi Martinez in 2012 or Thiago in 2013 or just like SAF must have RVP in 2012, or even Guardiola must have Ibrahimovic in 2009 whatever the cost - they identify that nigga and that nigga only for the needs of the team. The same goes for Essien when Jose bought him. You can compare with the Zhirkovs, Salahs and Cuadrados bought with no thought of what specific role the coach has in mind - they come, they flop, and they need replacing almost immediately. There is a reason Guardiola said Chelsea needs 10 new signings. . . . he knows the players he would sign specifically. . . and he knows the nonsense Emenalo has put together in the name of squad. nateevs:This nonsense piss me off. I no want curse you today. Can you tell me how Ancelotti, RDM and Benitez went against Emenalos vision that put Emenalo at war with them? Why did Emenalo flat out refuse RDM's request to buy Wanyama for just £10m, yet spent £200m that summer including the same amount on Victor Moses - a clear pet project, while ignoring a basic request for a vital need in midfield? Was RDM asking for too much (as you accuse Jose). . . . or was dictator Emenalo trying to force his own way as usual? Keep chatting shyte while a girls scout coach keep selecting your first team targets year in year out. Thats how you go from a Championship team to a team that fights to finish 4th every year. GTFOH with this bollocks! |
I dont know where finance minister found N6trn from. Naija will not get close to that this year. |
Baboo13:The 3 points freebie must go on even if she collect 100 points. ![]() Na my turn to collect next week |
I am glad that Emenalo has shed his cloak of anonymity to all Chelsea fans. Maybe yall thought Ibime was mad for going on about Emenalo all these years. For the record, Emenalo became the most powerful football man at Chelsea in 2010. He was already the defacto Sporting Director as Roman had lost faith in Frank Arnesen. Arsenen was allowed to see out the last year of his contract as a lame duck before the official title was given to Emenalo in 2011, however Emenalo was already doing the job from summer 2010. His first signing was Ramires in July 2010, one of the reasons I have given for his unexplainable belief in Ramires. I have documented severally his snake ways. It is no secret that he destabilised Chelseas 2011 season over the Ray Wilkins affair and was imposed on Ancelotti as assistant. You know you are a snake when Carlo 'nicest man in football' Ancelotti refuses to work with you stating "Emenalo will not be allowed to take any training session." I have also documented severally his imposition and insistence to RDM that he must play Torres at all times. I clearly showed also where RDM had furious arguments with Emenalo that his central midfield is not strong enough and Emenalo insisted he had all he needs in Mikel and Ramires. This clearly led to Chelsea midfield being blown away and got RDM the sack. I also documented how Benitez argued with Emenalo over the need for midfield reinforcements. That is on the record. Emenalo has been lucky that a silence clause is put in place when managers are sacked otherwise every single manager who has worked under him would profess of his utter incompetence and backstabbing ways. I recall one eediot asking me to prove that RDM and Benitez had all these issues with Emenalo. Especially for that uninformed eediot, lemme kindly drop this link to show that again, Emenalo had the same issues with Jose Mourinho this season. Maybe niggas thought Im mad to have been talking about disagreements between Emenalo and Jose all summer: Jose Mourinho and Michael Emenalo were virtually not on speaking terms at Chelsea in the final days of the Portuguese at the club. The London Evening Standard says sources suggest Mourinho's relationship with technical director Michael Emenalo had deteriorated and in a damning statement, the latter refused to name the Chelsea coach by name as he discussed the reasons behind his departure last night. One of the reasons for a fall-out between them was over player targets, with Mourinho unhappy about the summer spending, which included the arrival of Abdul Baba Rahman and Papy Djilobodji, who were believed to be Emenalo signings. - See more at: http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/revealed-mourinho-and-emenalo-clashed-over-chelsea-transfer-policy-4109135#sthash.hDv9ZSPv.dpuf I stated all throughout the summer as far back as June that Emenalo has wrestled power from Jose and that Jose is extremely unhappy from all the press conferences I had been watching where he kept repeating that "the board believe our squad is sufficient to defend the title". My posts in June/July on this matter are on record. It wasnt until Man City beat us 3-0 in late August that Roman relented and agreed with Joses point of view. By then it was too late. All we could get was Pedro. That same anger and resentment I told yall Jose was nursing from June is what led him to behave the way he did. I even warned back then that I see Jose behaving the same way he did in 2007 when he had problems with Arnesen over the direction of the club. I will tell niggas categorically now that signings have never been in Joses hands since he returned in 2013 incase you are still ambiguous now as to where power lies. Neither RDM nor Benitez were allowed a single signing or even any input as to where they thought the team needs strengthening. Emenalo is a dictator who does not work with the manager but believes in weilding power over the manager. The annoying part about it is that he knows absolutely nothing about football and believes signing 100 wingers with no midfield is the way to success. Unlike RDM and Benitez however, JM was allowed 4 signings due to his stature and wilpower. Players Jose signed are Matic, Costa, Fabregas and Felipe Luis only. . . as well as Eto on a free transfer. Schurrle, Willian, Cuadrado, Van Ginkel, Salah, Zouma, Cuadrado, Rahman, Adrian, Kenedy, Hector and Djoliboli were all Emenalo signings. . . because Jose said these are signings the club have been scouting even before he joined. Remy Im not sure about but both Jose and Emenalo were happy with him as a second striker. In summary, Emenalos meddling has culminated in another Chelsea manager being frustrated in his work. Jose did not react in the right way to his squabbles with Emenalo over the summer, but make no mistake, that snake is the root cause of Joses erratic behaviour this season, just like he was the root cause of Ancelotti and Di Matteos troubles.

Griffon:Chelsea lack of faith came in the summer when Jose told em the squad is not eqipped to compete, but theyd rather listen to Emenalo. This fight with the board is what put Jose in a foul mood with everyone. It would serve those bozos absolutely right if Jose lands at Manure and do what he does best. If you tie yourself to incompetent bufoons like Emenalo who is known for snaking everyone at Chelsea from Ray Wilkins to Ancelotti to RDM to Jose, that is what you get for putting your future in the hands of an incompetent nincompoop If Jose ends up at Manure and Pep at City, say goodbye to league trophy for 3 years. |
Scharck:That goal took me from a draw to a 5 point win |
