You and Coog's battle had ninjas accusing Coog of ressurecting ghost accounts.

All Dark's battles always raise disagreement. E.g Dark vs Mikuz.

Ely and Coog also had problems of Dark being accused of swaying, etc. I'm not saying that some don't end cleanly, but they usually generate a lot of controversies.

The press talks about a player preferring to lose rather than win for Jose
Jose is now being personally sued by Eva
Shall I tell you the root cause of Jose's neurotic behaviour all summer?

Go check my posts everytime he did a press conference in preseason.

Jose had turned his anger internal due to losing boardroom power tussle and having other ninjas choose the direction of his team

His every press conference was aimed at catching Romans ear and was full of angst and bile.

Journalist no ask am question, Jose dey tell journalist say "I have a good relationship with Roman, the only time when there is issues is when there is interference from other parties."

I documented clearly, Jose said "I need a defender, midfielder and striker". Certain parties started telling him he should be able to win the league with same players next season not knowing it was a near miracle he had just performed. They even were happy to give him Falcao and make early bids for John Stones right from early July but were reticent to even make a move on the midfield he just spent 5 months patching with Kurt Zouma. Twas only the last 2 weeks of the window when Roman told them to get their arse in gear that they started making moves but it was too late.

Point is, Jose's crazy behaviour aside, if you want to get to the real root of the problem, we still come back to the issue of midfield and certain ninjas protecting their interests in that position.

What is a new occurrence is the fact that his offensive input has dropped drastically compared to last year.
All that offensive input you are remembering was in 2014. We are almost entering 2016 o!

Abi you don forget say na 1-0 and 0-0 we use win league from January to May? And that was because Fabregas was moved to no10 so Zouma could come in after Kane and Christensen raped our pivot.

Saying Fabregas should out-attack those raping the pivot no go work. Any ninja can throw punch when his opponent is not hitting back out of respect. As soon as coaches and opponents started attacking Fabregas, he could attack no more. Which army goes on attack when it's rear flank is being attacked?

Ibime must have bitten you in the neck. Is it a lack of Steel that is making Hazard misplace passes? Is it lack of Steel that that caused Costa to forget where the goal is?

In case you forgot, we were fortunate to draw 2-2 with Swansea featuring the exact same midfield pairing that chopped 4 last September. So Matic-Fab were better than Ki-Shelvey then, but are not as good as them a year later?

We lost to Palace 2-1 when we beat them last year with exactly the same midfield on both sides(bar Cabaye). So back then Fab was a man that could win the battle, but not anymore?

We lost 3-1 to an Everton side that collected 6 last year. Last year Barry-Mccarthy faced up to Matic-Ramires. Same happened this year. Did Barry-McCarthy drink steroids?

Oh My God, we almost lost to Newcastle for God's sake. Need I remind you, Newcastle are one of the teams that are In the relegation Zone. Do they also have a better midfield than us? Were they also 'winning the midfield battle'?

Quit telling us about what Fabregas did in 2014. Fabregas has been removed from pivot since Jan 1st 2015!

Start of last season teams were in awe of Chelsea's new signings and came with mentality of parking the bus. Once they clicked that Fabregas is a weak link if you attack him, he was removed from the pivot to prevent obvious rapings that were taking place. Infact, you spent good chunk of last season telling us our RCM is abysmal defensively, abi na lie?

Wetin concern us with blaming attacking players. We have more goals than Man Utd . . . . yet we are battling relegation!!!!

You are right, but I think we've been solid defensively in the last 3 games, the lack of goals, missed chances and constant inability to find the net this season has been our undoing, last season, we were most of the times, a goal up at half time, I can remember vividly, even against the big teams, it was so consistent, I could confidently place bets on Chelsea scoring at least a goal before half time.

You would agree with me, the defence normally stepped up to defend well, we had a very good goal keeper too who was ready to impress, at the second half, we would go on to score at least another goal or even more and get the important 3 points.

Costa was in red hot form, he was like the best striker in the league, Fabregas wasn't spectacular defensively but he was getting the assists to Costa, Hazard was always taking defenders on, trying to open up chances, getting a few goals and bailed us out on so many crucial moments till we won the league.

Everything is missing now, every damn thing...
No doubt ninjas are under-par all over. . . .but consider this. . .

Man Utd - 4th position - 15 goals scored

Chelsea - fighting relegation - 16 goals scored

The ninjas who are letting the team down most of all are those protecting the defence. Our current strike rate is better than Man Utd's and they are challenging for title!

Creativity and goal scoring has been our major problem, to me, the defence has been better than the attack....We get punished for the mistakes we make, small teams don't waste time in shooting from long range, we defend and defend and keep defending until we later concede goals then the hussle to score goals and equalize wud start, our players can't shoot, they lose balls, shouldn't we try as much as possible to outscore our opponents rather than being defensive??
Even if we wanted to outscore our opponents, we would need 3 or 4 goals per game just to win each match.

Fa fa foul!

When in trouble, you tighten your midfield, ride out the storm with a few 0-0's and 1-0's. If your midfield can't achieve this, you are phucked with little chance of recovery.

I have never seen a struggling team come out of a slump by scoring 4 goals per game. It has never happened in the history of mankind. Any team in trouble gets themselves out of a slump only by tightening up at the back.

Anyone who says different is foolish beyond measure.

Mikel John Obi insists the players still believe in Mourinho. “We are right behind the manager,” the midfielder said. “There’s no doubt about it. In training we work very hard. If anyone can turn this around, we definitely think he’s the one. Last year we were champions. We won two trophies. José knows this club more than any other manager. He’s the most successful manager in the club’s history.

“ I definitely think that, if anything is wrong, if anything can be fixed, he is the one. There’s no one out there that is going to come in and fix what’s going on. If you tell the team that we are not giving 100% then there is the doubt, but we are giving 100%, we are playing for the manager, we are right behind him.

Mikel has turned to nairaland's coogar, throwing figures with reckless abandon. Which 100% are you guys giving at present? Mikel must have gone to the same under-the-tree secondary school that coogar also attended. 100% ko, 1000% ni. sad sad sad
Mikel may be giving 100%. How can you tell?

If a snail say it is running at 100%, can your eyes detect the difference between a snail's 70%, 80% and 100%?

If any other player covered the ground in midfield at the speed Mikel does, that player will be accused of giving only 30%. . . . but it may well be 100% for Mikel.

100% of zero is zero!

Any basic functioning midfield can take a great set of attacking players to a title challenge.

Fernando and Fernandinho are by no means the greatest but they fulfill the basic functions of midfield to keep City competing for the title each year.

It is sheer testament to Mikel and Ramires UTTER INEPTITUDE that every year they took RDM and Benitez teams packed with Hazard, Mata and co to 5th position by midseason, at danger of not qualifying for UCL. I am NOT EXAGGERATING HERE. . . Benitez had to beg David Luiz and Lampard to play pivot to get that team from 5th to 3rd.

I have the memory of an elephant and don't just talk lightly. Anything that's happened to Chelsea over the last 18 years is documented in my head.

I promise you this. . . these guys cannot constitute the top 15 of any Premiership midfield. They cannot fulfil the basic function of a midfield.

Chelsea has World Class attacking talent with defenders who are known and certified as proving their class over the years. Any half decent midfield keeps Chelsea in the title hunt like Fernando and Fernandinho do for Man City.

If midfield is average, Chelsea competes. If midfield is totally inept, they will take a great set of players from title hunt to worrying about 4th place finish like Mikel and Ramires did year after year!

I promise you, if you put Mikel and Ramires as Watford midfield right now, na relegation straight!!!

So Matic-Fabregas pivot that won the league just this May is not better than say Drinkwater-Kante at Leicester, or Kouyate-Noble at WestHam or even Eric Dier-Dele Alli at Spurs?

Spurs midfield pairing in particular consists of a centre-back(Dier) and a guy who was playing for MK Dons 6 months ago.

So those guys can do this 'basic job' that Matic\Fab dont know how to do?

What is this 'basic job' then? Turning water in to wine?
Fabregas is not a pivot player. Leave him out out of this. If the job of a pivot player is first to protect the defence, then Fabregas is the worst defensive midfielder in the Premiership. . . as you saw when Lallana put 30 yards on him yesterday to set up Coutinhos winner.

When teams started targeting Fabregas, he was moved to his rightful AM position. Who is under the spotlight here is not Fabregas but the ninjas who supposed to replace him in the pivot and got overlooked for Kurt Phucking Zouma!

Eric Dier played midfield severally for Sporting and is known as a cultured player and advertised as a defender/midfielder even before he came to England. Besides he is only covering for 2 injuries in Spurs midfield.

Kouyate is a boss. Don't ever compare him to those scrubs. The day Kurt Phucking Zouma is preferred to Noble-Kouyate for half a season is the day I die!

Drinkwater-Kante are benching a whole Gokhan Inler at Leicester, an energetic competent ninja who would send Mikel into retirement instantly, never mind losing their spot to Kurt Phucking Zouma!

Whichever midfielder was benched for Kurt Zouma should commit suicide right now!!!

If I look around the Premiership, the only midfields I see as suspect energy wise and basics wise . . . .and the only ones who could not lend an adequate base of support for our attacking cast are Sunderland, Stoke, Newcastle, West Brom and Bournemouth.

West Ham, Leicester, Watford, Everton, Crystal Palace, West Brom are just a few examples of the 14 teams that are ahead of Chelsea this season.

Are we now to believe that the defending champions all of sudden now have the 15th best midfield in the league? Are we honestly saying the midfield that conceded the least amount of goals by May is suddenly not good enough 6 months later?

I mean, isn't obvious that even if we had an artificially constructed super-midfielder playing in that middle, he too might fall victim to the general malaise that is currently affecting the squad?

Football is not that difficult. Matic and Fabregas cannot just lose their talent in 6 months. Hazard cannot just forget how to play in 6 months. Costa cannot just lose his scorer's instinct in 6 months. This is real life and not Space Jam.

Anytalk about midfield play is just one symptom of an encompassing disease. Defence is wack too. Striker is wack too. Hazard is wack too.
Believe it or not, yes we do have about the 15th best midfield in the Premiership when it comes to the basic job of keeping the midfield tight.

If you doubt me, peep this. . .

There is NOT A SINGLE CLUB in the Premiership that will prefer Kurt Zouma to any of it's midfielders or consider playing him in midfield as Chelsea basically did from January to May last year.

If your success strategy is dependent on constantly creating enemies soon enough you'll create enemies out of your own squad players and alienate them.

As for all the midfield yarns by Ibime and Nateevs, it may be a problem but it's not why Benteke had time to take 5 touches in your box before scoring yesterday. For goodness sake this is slow Benteke we're talking about, not silky skilled Messi or super fast Suarez.
No time to debate or speculate at which 'causes of the problem' are mutually exclusive. . . when many are self affirming.

I have been stating on here since summer that Jose is in neurotic mood due to transfer policy (including and most importantly, midfield strengthening) denied him at board level which is making him vent on the players and everyone around him. I highlighted this tension in his demeanor right from his preseason press conferences. First game of the season, gbam he lashed out at Eva.

That said, 3 weeks ago we said the players may have turned against Jose. Lets watch the next few games to see if they are putting in the effort, and we all agreed that the effort is there (with the possible exception of Hazard). You can attest from the last 4 games that everybody is putting in a shift. What is not there is the competence, of which midfield is the most fatal.

Never mind Benteke having space when Chelsea are chasing the game.

When Ramires showed Coutinho his number, that is a midfield problem.

When Lallana ran 30 yards untracked by Fabregas for the 2nd goal, that is a midfield problem.

That is how the game was lost, never mind the gung ho conditions under which Benteke scored.

When a team is in trouble, journalists will go fishing from any player carrying a grudge to discredit the manager. Never mind substitute material and nonentities like Oscar who we know has a long standing resentment with the manager. If 11 players join today and say we will give our best as they all proclaimed and seem to be doing, only structural weakness will see them defeated. Every squad has 4 or 5 players who dont like the manager because they are not playing. What next? Van Gaal under pressure because Victor Valdes, Javier Hernandez and Van Persie are carrying grudges?

The midfield problem is a self affirming problem that perpetuates instability and lack of confidence, plus more pressure on the manager and more journalists fishing for stories from useless substitutes. Any team in trouble always pack the midfield for a few games with physically robust players, take a few 0-0s and 1-0s and ride out the storm. Sir Alex Ferguson always locked down with 3 in midfield whenever the team was going through a bad patch. Every single big team does the same when going through a bad patch or facing superior opposition, including Arsene Wenger. Chelsea have no midfield to lockdown. That is what we've been attempting the last 4 games but the personnel are incompetent.

At this stage the players could do with a change to kill all the noise and the whole charade. However any subsequent managers will fail to achieve consistency without overhauling that midfield. No players hated RDM except Torres yet that midfield got him the sack because they could not keep a clean sheet or defensive stability. Benitez never achieved consistency with that midfield and lost an unacceptable amount of games due to midfield weakness and conceding too much. He only got that team more stable toward season end by putting David Luiz there. That midfield will not give any manager justice and will get any manager the sack eventually.
