As for Emenalo, he signs and he sells. He recommends and he puts prices on players heads in terms of transfer and wages. Thats the job description of a TD. Mikel is no personal favourite of Roman. Emenalo gave him 5 year contract.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 10:19pm On Jan 08, 2013
nateevs: There's no need to peddle false info. Mikel was banned for 3 games following the Clattenburg issue. It took immediate effect from Dec 6th.
He missed the Sunderland, Leeds and Aston Villa games from suspension. He came back for the Norwich game and I if I remember was subbed because he had injury.
Since Norwich, we've only played 3 games.
Nonsense! Mikel was dropped for Romeu from the first game against Fulham and Man City and you are busy talking of Clattenberg. Nonsense!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 10:08pm On Jan 08, 2013
Nateevs you talking crap. Mikel has never been first choice except under Scolari and RDM.

Mourinho and Grant used Maka

Scolari picked him

Hiddink dropped him for Ballack as did Ancelotti when it came to the crunch. AVB dropped him for Romeu and Benitez dropped him for Romeu and then Luiz. Mikel has been relevant this long only because no manager is in charge of transfers. He is simply part of a group of players available to the manager and has never established himself as a first choice in 6 years.

Mikel is only useful if he doesn't have to run ie if Chelsea sit exclusively in their own half. Any attempt to change the playing style and Mikel turns to MOPOL ie Escort
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m):
nateevs: I made my pick from reality not just desire. Mikel just signed a 5 year contract, he isn't going anywhere.
Neither is Ramires. If anyone leaves, it's likely to be Romeu. So you are not having 2 DMFs.
Its either you are ignorant, wilfully ignorant or lacking in education.

So the same Mikel you have been praising on here is "not your desire", just "reality" whilst the mumu TD that gave him a 5 year contract is doing a stellar job?

Nonsense. Why should Chelsea 'manage' Mikel just because he has a 5 year contract?

If Mikel is an asset, his 5 year contract should INCREASE his value.

But like I said before, NOBODY WANTS HIM!

Thats the reason he's not going anywhere, because the eediot TD increased Mikel's liability apportionment on our books just last month and nobody on the market is willing to carry such liability for such an incompetent DM.

Even his own manager Benitez dont want him no more, preferring centrebacks and Spanish rookies.

See the Lampard you have been bashing since, teams are swooping around him, but Mikel the liabilility is UNWANTED. I hope he wont become the new Paulo Ferreira/Torres who Chelsea managed in their positions without signing better replacements simply because they could not move them on.

Whats even worse, Emenalo of all people should know Mikel is not anything close to 25 years old, so sanctioning 5 year contract for him is not only Emenalo being incompetent but being complicit in fraud against his own employers! Mikel's best friends P Square who he grew up with are already approaching 32 years old, yet Emenalo approves 5 year contract for him on the fraudulent basis that he is 25.

As for Ramires, I can take Ramires to market today and collect £25million for him from a team that appreciates his hard running, goals and the tactical flexibility he offers them.

There is no excuse for Emenalo not to fix the problems in midfield. Infact, he is increasing the problems by offering these guys new long contracts.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m):
On Taison. . .

You ninjas should be worrying about how to fit Oscar into the project first not worrying about Taison who will prolly just come to form line behind Oscar on the bench. Don't we already have enough damn Brazilians in the project?

Dont forget our boy Kevin De Bruyne also. I personally would like to see Kevin become a defensive option to Hazard on the left. Kevin has never learnt to defend in central midfield, but he is a very solid winger in terms of tracking his fullback. Just like you use Ramires or Antonio Valencia instead of Mata or Nani on certain flanks, De Bruyne can be a solid winger on one flank whilst also a central midfield option. . . and dont forget his ambidextrous crossing. . . .

Sometimes, you have to realise that a player may have a weapon so good that instantly makes him WORLD CLASS. . .just like David Beckham, an average footballer with a world class cross that won many titles for United. . . . De Bruyne's crossing is WORLD CLASS, the best in Europe bar none. Only Dusan Tadic can compete with him in crossing, but only De Bruyne can do it with both feet. This should be encouraged, not signing Taison to crowd out the wings! Make space in the squad for DeBruyne to play wings sometimes!!

Where's the variety in the squad?

On Isco. . .

Forget it! Mata already took his position. That guy in the article is chatting shyte! Chelsea need Isco like we need a new ballboy!

On Fullbacks. . .

LB is not a problem as we have both Van Aanholt and Bertrand. Let them compete for the no1 spot. They are both 6.5/10 players and we can afford to give them a chance because their mates on the market are worth no less than £10m, whilst Ashley Cole's mates are worth £25m or over. Infact, Ashley Cole has no mate!

Secondly, no need for RB, only need to train Azpi to cross properly, and Ivanovic is there. Dont forget Thomas Kalas also who plays right-back better than he ever played centre-back.

On Central midfield

Central midfield is an obvious priority. If Chelsea want to solve all problems in few steps, the remedy is simple: Sell Mikel and Ramires, buy TWO DM's. This alone would do. Just remember that the no4 must have speed aligned with technique. Two £10m players alone can turn this team into Champions but some inexperienced Technical Directors would rather complicate the situation by buying players here there and everywhere, looking for a pot at the end of the rainbow, yet never getting there because they did not focus their resources where they should.

On Fellaini

I can think of 20 better options than Fellaini in midfield. Fellaini's feet are too slow in intricate midfield, his body is too inert to turn quickly like you must do in midfield; and he has little pace to chase a counterattack. He cannot even begin to solve our central midfield issue. Don't be fooled that he is shining as a striker now. Last time he played central midfield against Leeds in Carling Cup, they overran him!!!

On squad composition

Some wise men need to realise that the most important skill in football is communication and organisation. I miss the days when we have ninjas like Scott Parker on the bench. Where we have Terry, Carvalho, Lamps, Ballack, Lamps, DD and Cech running the team with superb communication from back to front. Personality is key to a squad, but these days the biggest personality amongst our new bunch (David Luiz) is a negative influence, using his personality to play jokes and lose position rather than organising his teammates and being organised himself!!

In other words, get the right blend of players in the team. Some should be English, 20% should be aged 18-23, 70% aged 23-30, and 10% aged 30+. Have some rugged ninjas like Essien, some skillas like Robben, not the mix of young immature Brazilians and Spaniards we currently have.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m):
Someone who is always wrong every season sees a problem in the way sane individuals see the game.

Has Ramires not disgraced himself enough in midfield?

Is Lampard not leaving soon?

Is Mikel not a basket? If Mikel was not a footballer, I believe he would be a MOPOL because all he does is "escort" players. FFS, he is the reason we are not in the Champions league, the way he was escorting Marchisio even when we were leading 2-0 and directly and solely responsible for the equaliser which knocked us out.

I usually take longer to form judgement but at this stage, Luiz is doing too many things wrong that normal central midfielders wouldn't do.

Now that Emenalo has bought a striker, priority is defensive midfielder.

Benat is the only player I would take there to replace Lampard + 2 solid DMs to replace Mikel and Ramires. There is no rationale for Taison and Isco whilst Oscar cannot get a game.

Oscar no fit start, yet some boys dey wait for Taison.

You wonder why these guys lose the main arguments every season when their footie knowledge or outlook is so poor. I already know Nateevs never played any serious football, and from his postings, I can easily deduce he is one of those 5 ft 7 inch guys who weigh 65kg like my guy Sean who hang on the wing doing silly infuriating flicks and losing the ball while the real warriors get busy in the middle of the action. cheesy

nateevs: As you, Ibime, have at one time in history endorsed Torres as the best striker in the premier league, it is out of place to state that his all round play and finishing isn't up to standard. If you say Torres has declined in form and his output isn't up to the standard required, then you make a different argument.

With regards to the standards of ability, what you are referring to right now and have done so frequently this season is criticise his inherent footballing ability. If you have endorsed him before, then this is either a dent on your judgement of footballing ability or you are just knocking Torres.

I hope you catch my drift.
Drift any drift you want. Torres isnt up to standard just like Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry and Eusebio ain't up to standard! Who cares what standard they were 5 years ago or 50 years ago?

I said Demba's all round play is better than Torres. Just like Berbatov's all round play is better than Torres'. I never said, Torres' all round play isn't up to standard. Na you dey add that one.
If the difference between Demba Ba and Torres is winning matches, then it doesn't take a genius to work out Torres isnt up to standard. . . unless the standard is losing too frequently and rendering Chelsea toothless

coogar: new year - same shit, everyday!
only a lunatic would blame torres for yesterday's loss. lampard was uber-useless! phat frank cannot close down at the edge of the box because he was too heavy to quickly do a job. this is why ramirez(premier league's best tackler) is handy in such games.
A striker would be handy in such games. . .we dont need "Premierleague's best tackler against QPR". . . to tackle who. . . Shaun Derry?. . . one corner kick conceded cannot make Chelsea lose against QPR if not for a useless striker upfront, besides, like I told the fool ElGuapo who expects Ramires to play centre-back to track Taraabt's runs, Ramires would never be in Lampard or Mata's position to stop Taraabt or SWP cos Ramires stays on the post for corners with Ashley Cole.

I give you what shoulda been Chelsea's formation last night according to the eediot ElGuapo who believed that Taraabt made the difference because Ramires was not there to track his run by running into the sky to track the highball coming down to Taraabt:

https://i50.tinypic.com/j6u789.jpg

Damn you Benitez! Why didn't you listen to ElGuapo and play Ramires at centreback to track his runs, afterall Gary Cahill and Ivanovic were unable to track his runs even when he was isolated against 4 defenders, he kept running behind them! Dont you know that Ramires would run into the sky and track the ball as it was coming down on the corner! Benitez out! grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 2:36pm On Jan 03, 2013
nateevs: Had Lamps committed to closing down SWP, the chances of QPR scoring from a pass to one of his players in the box is slimmer because there were more Chelsea bodies in the box who were closer to the QPR men in the box than there were on SWP.
Nonsense. Everyone was on the other side of the box. They would have had enough time to score 2 goals if SWP had played em in before any Chelsea player reach there. SWP to score from 20 yards is not easy. 8 times out of 10, he cannot score from there.

nateevs: You are not only wrong about this, you are lying. Show the credible website that rated Lampard the highest.
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/match/81039/chelsea-fc-vs-qpr/player-ratings

Show me one single match report that lays fault at Lamps feet for the goal. . . search the whole wide web, you can't find none, just chatting crap on Nairaland.

nateevs: What annoyed people more is you claiming it is almost impossible to lose without Lamps. First game after your misuse of stats, we lose and naturally people will call you out.
What nonsense! Your school fees need to be returned!!!

I have done a simple comparison of your Ramires' the magic bullet and shown simply:

With Lampard:

10 wins in 12

Without Lampard:

1 win in 8

This is hard facts to prove that your Ramires argument is flawed, and you are crowing on about "impossible to lose". Who said that, or are you uneducated?

nateevs: Regarding Torres, I am not silent mate. I maintain the same stance. Show me where Lamps and his cohorts created one single chance for Torres yesterday in the first half. They created none. You are going on about how Torres cannot play in deep defense. Sorry mate, he cannot. What he can do, he does well and that is playing in between the lines.

So if you want Torres to work, you play to his strengths.
What a bloody disgrace, foolish excuse for a worthless piece of self-service. He cannot play against deep defence, yet you want us to play to his strength against team that park the bus. How?

I thought mugun like you said Benitez was already playing to his strength with vertical passes. If Benitez of all people "cannot play to his strength" who can? Nateevs?

He has no forking strengths!

The nonsense you're chatting here na wetin boys dey use laugh. . .

Only mumu Nateevs still dey talk same nonsense that's become a running joke.

And what happened when he had the chance to bury the game? Oh yeah, it was just ONE chance I guess. . . like the "only three chances at West Ham", like Corinthians and all the other "one chance".

This is the biggest load of crap anyone ever spewed on Nairaland.

Ramires to track Taraabt on a corner? In that case I guess not only would Ramires position on the corner have been marking Lampards man, Ramires would have also been positioned in Matas position to stop the header dropping yo Taraabt. This Ramires must be a wonderkid able to be in 2 places at the same time. This despite the fact that Ramires could never be in Lamps or Matas zone when the incident took place as his usual corner detail is to stand on the goalline.

Pure nonsense. Taraabt posed zero threat on the counter and Ramires was definitely not needed to track hos runs cos he made none as QPR were stuck in their half the whole ninety minutes.

What's worse, Taraabt played as a striker yesterday so I guess Gary Cahill shoulda been dropped so Ramires the omnipresent can play centre-back and track Taraabts non-existent runs.

2013 is only 3 days old and I believe this guy just posted an early contender for the post with the most wayward logic of the year. The ball dropped to Taraabt from the sky because Ramires wasn't on pitch to track his run?
