Even if what you are saying is not the case, the list will not change much. The richest EU company is valued at 340 billion. Microsoft is valued at 3 trillion. Organically they are valued at about 2 trillion. But by the time you bring them to normal valuation (about half), other countries companies will start to come in when you run the list again and relative to the size of population should present a more balanced picture |

And also you can't compare a 330m population domestic market to a 70m one. Also the world keeps throwing their money in simply because the Fed keeps pumping so they want to make a quick buck (Saudis, Norwegians etc) not because they see value there. |

nateevs: Not a bad shout but there is no dynamism in midfield with Enzo and Caceido. We could play 9 hours with Caicedo and Enzo and have no shots or through passes from midfield.
James helps with some dynamism. He doesn't help with no dynamism Lavia or KDH are better midfielders than him at this stage Is it Fofana that has the fitness for RB? |

It is good squad management. Then play him centre-back cos you need as much fitness to play midfield |

In what world does Badiashile jump above Chalobah and Tosin even if you want to play Fofana at right back in order to accommodate James in midfield (who just doesn't have the sharpness for midfield work at this stage?)
So you move a left footed Colwill to RCB to accommodate Badiashile?

All this eediot Maresca had to do was bring Lavia into the midfield for at least the first 60 mins to stabilise things and keep James at RB.
Instead he brings calamity Badiashile into defence and plays James in midfield

Second draft
Dear xxxx
I trust this letter finds you in good health I am writing in reference to the unfortunate incident that occured when you blocked my path on my way to the lecture theatre. I was unfortunately in a hurry to get to the class and you were not moving fast enough to get out of my way. The incident is regretted. I trust you are unhurt. I will endeavour to avoid situations where students delay me in my way to class in the future
Please take care and accept my warmest wishes

semid4lyfe: This issue dey rage for office platform and some people don post the same thing wey you post so make I chip in For me, the giveaway that the letter was written by AI is not so much the flowery and wordy tone but
1. The Title of the letter.
He wrote,
Dear Chidera, LETTER OF APOLOGY TO MR CHIDERA
This is AI being used without proof reading, proper editing and correction.
It should have been
Dear Chidera, LETTER OF APOLOGY
2. The overly patronizing tone and almost beggarly nature of the letter. The lecturer threw all his pride away. and was grovelling at the feet of the student. This is very uncharacteristic of a Nigerian lecturer.
3. The content of that letter went far and beyond the subject matter.
Look at the lines below:
I understand that my apology cannot erase the past, but I hope it can be a step towards healing and moving forward.
Erase past? healing? moving forward? kilode? on top a singular incident! When no be long term broken relationship?
Please know that I am committed to changing my behavior and ensuring that all my students feel safe, respected, and supported in the classroom. I will do everything in my power to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
How did a simple personal apology letter, expand in scope to ensuring all his students are respected, supported and feel safe in class?
If you are willing, I would like to meet with you to discuss how I can make amends and support you in any way possible. Please let me know if this is something you would be open to, and we can arrange a time and place that works for you.
Support? Did the student break some bones and land in hospital as a result of that clearance?
Again, this is overboard and uncharacteristic of a Nigerian lecturer, especially the one in question.
Even if I wan run this kain parole with the student, na to obtain hin digits, control am. give him a nice time and press small change for hin aza. Finish.
The letter is AI being used without human oversight and proof that AI sef dey gba.
Summarily, I can bet my March salary that the apology letter was generated by AI. GBAM, Inspector Bediako done provide evidence |

DissTroy: There's PR-speak and it comes with a lot bullshitting and posturing. Maybe he outsourced it to a communications firm to word his apology. Maybe. The internet is rife with apologies by Nigerians using similar tones before ChatGPT became a thing.
Attributing any piece of writing which seems so delicately crafted devoid of what we expect to AI is ultimately saying Nigerians are monolithic in our verbal or lexical expressions. People write in millions of ways. We are still saying the same thing. Na ChatGPT write am last last. Most likely the Polytechnic HR drafted it for him using ChatGPT. I am OK to generalise if 95% if Nigerians don't write in this tone. This thug does not look like the other 5% from the way he raked that guy like a seasoned street nigga. I have had a situation where HR has drafted responses for me to send to a subordinate over a dispute and they often sound like this in tone. I will tweak it to remove too much meekness from the communication and send back to HR to review before I send it out. It works the other way too, sometimes HR will send letter that looks too litigious stating dates of meetings etc and I will tweak to soften it cos the matter no too serious like that. Last last HR don't know the internal dynamics within a team and will always use the most extreme tone, whether it's conciliatory or litigious. These examples have now all been aggregated into ChatGPT which has produced this letter without any nuance. HR has clearly drafted it for this guy using ChatGPT. I don't think Polytechnic HR strong for bullshitting PR like this. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Ibime(m): 11:32am On Mar 16, 2025 |
DissTroy: Maybe ChatGPT did for this lecturer, but don't generalize. I've been writing and speaking in very formal wordy tones (even in the course of regular WhatsApp exchanges) for years before OpenAI got its $1 billion funding in 2015, and certainly before the first iteration of ChatGPT in 2022; Including here on Nairaland. My friends and acquaintances write and speak in similar tones too.
I don't know what demography of Nigerians you've been acquiesced with, but a very sizeable number of Nigerians are reputed for having a very rich vocabulary stock; and even more so those in the academia whom this Nekede lecturer is a part of.
Soyinka, Hon. Patrick Obahiaghon and others famous for using seemingly grandiosely formal words aren't outliers or exemptions as I interact with such people everyday. It's not about the grammar, it's about the tone of the letter. Nigerians are more forceful in their tone even when apologising. They don't write that meekly. Even the best Nigerian writers have a bit of "bite" and pride in their words even whilst apologising. Nigerians will use stories and proverbs to apologise - "our people say the sun should not go down on your anger", "to err is human" etc to conceal their pride at apologising, they just don't start licking mud straight away and throughout the whole apology. The tone used in that letter was specifically from a feminine or gãy British HR advisor, and one of total surrender, and was mined from ChatGPT. The thug that raked that guy doesn't have that in him. |
