bemeruca: Ibime, what do you think?
Greenland did indeed vote for independence from Denmark. Jens Frederik Nielsen, the Prime Minister elect, expressed his interest in continuing talks with President Trump especially in regard to the security of Greenland and a continuing relationship with America. Greenland has no intention of maintaining agreements with China related to the use of their raw earth minerals. This could definitely be a great opportunity for America to gain a greater presence in the Arctic region. The Greenlanders favour independence but want to do it slowly over many years or decades and that's because they are too small a population to pay for what it takes to maintain that vast land and they need Denmarks money to do so In addition they are not strong enough to withstand the threats of being located so close to the arctic and asserting their rights over their economic zone, and neither is Denmark. Russia and China are already bullying them in those waters So they can't vote to join USA just like that. It's in two stages. First they vote to declare independence from Denmark, then they later vote to join Yankee As to their slow pace of uncoupling from Denmark, Yankee should speed it up by offering each Citizen $1m to $2m dollars each as well as cutting out clear land for each of them and their descendants on Greenland. Make Yankee no too reason am and just provide the money. I get a feeling Yankee is trying to do things the cheap and disgusting way by threatening annexation instead of making an offer. They should put proposal on the table Meanwhile you need to go and find Greenland wife while you are still unmarried so you can benefit from the bonanza |

semid4lyfe: AI is making people lazy.
Those of us wey go school in the days of very limited internet access, and had to use physical libraries, do overnight browsing at the cybercafe just to download materials for our projects are better grounded.
These days. the simplest writing tasks are done with AI. Even that one sef, dem no fit apply human sense to make it better.
I recently reviewed some seminar papers and all of them were written with AI but it's understandable cos students like sharp-sharp stress free work.
The first sentence in one of the seminar papers I reviewed went thus;
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of deaths globally.
How do you make such a weighty statement without stating the prevalence number and quoting a reference source?
Also that CVDs in bracket was a dead giveaway that it was AI generated.
I fear for our kids o, I really fear.
Hopefully, Turnitin will continue to keep people honest when it comes to serious academic output. I hardly use ChatGPT anymore. I use Microsoft copilot because it educates you and gives you links to learn more. I am not an absolutist. Anything humans can do to make things quicker should be encouraged. What they should do is shift the weighting of degrees more towards multiple frequent exams than homework since AI can do almost any homework now. In our days weighting was like 60-40 between exams and coursework, now they should make it 80-20 or 90-10 |

Dear Chidera LETTER OF APOLOGY TO MR CHIDERA I am writing to offer my sincerest apologies for my behavior towards you. I am deeply sorry for the way I treated you, and I realize that my actions were unacceptable and hurtful.
As your teacher, I should have provided a safe and supportive learning environment, but instead, I bullied and intimidated you. My behavior was not only unprofessional, but it also caused you harm and distress.
I want you to know that I take full responsibility for my actions, and I am truly sorry for the pain and suffering I caused you. I understand that my apology cannot erase the past, but I hope it can be a step towards healing and moving forward.
Please know that I am committed to changing my behavior and ensuring that all my students feel safe, respected, and supported in the classroom. I will do everything in my power to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
If you are willing, I would like to meet with you to discuss how I can make amends and support you in any way possible. Please let me know if this is something you would be open to, and we can arrange a time and place that works for you.
Once again, I offer my sincerest apologies for my behavior. You deserved better from me, and I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.
Sincerely,

raumdeuter: I think inflation in Nigeria and how useless the money became has made people to lose basic sense of numbers. The problem is prevalent in every sector. Every figure in Nigeria must start with billions. I wonder if they still teach Hundreds Tens and Units in primary schools, Maybe its now millions, billions and trillions Random skit about how much for short time, okpos go dey call millions, billions.
There need to be a renewed focus on basic subjects like percentages, probabilities, fractions and another one suggested by afrodoc "electoral Maths" No be small thing. That's why Nigerians insist Nigeria is a rich country being looted dry despite sharing only $35bln budget amongst 200m people.. That's $175 per head |

Nigerians have a real problem with arithmetic and some Nigerian journalists should be shot in the blockos I stopped reading this article when it got to this paragraph https://www.nairaland.com/8368834/niger-begs-nigeria-fuel-amidRather than negotiating, the military rulers decided to strong-arm China. In a move that stunned industry insiders, they slapped an $80 billion tax demand on SORAZ (Zinder Refinery Company) despite the state-owned Sonidep already owing SORAZ a staggering $250 billion. When China refused to provide additional loans, the junta retaliated by expelling Chinese oil executives from the country and seizing SORAZ’s bank accounts. How can Niger be owing $250bln? For context. Nigerias debt is around $100 bln and our yearly budget is around $35 bln So how can our neighbour Niger be owing Chinese $250 bln just for oil? And this eediot will call himself a journalist, reporting on financial matters with zero awareness of scale to know he's wrong. I don't even need to research to know those numbers are wrong. Both the journalist and his editor should be shot in the blockos |

iamoyindamola: 🤣🤣🤣 Ibime is part of the fake ijaw The Eastern Ijaw (Rivers State) tribes of Okrika, Kalabari, Bonny and Opobo are highly descended from Igbo slaves and merchants. Opobo itself is highly Igbolised by blood since Jaja (himself an Igbo slave) plied the Imo river and brought many Igbo from the hinterland to work for him, to the point I can say Opobo blood is 85% Igbo. Bonny is about 70% Igbo and Kalabari and Okrika about 30-50% Igbo. Nembe and Brass in Bayelsa about 10-20%. That's why Nembe King historically had to deny Igbo ancestry which his detractors put upon him Okrika and Opobo Kings are mostly from Igbo bloodline as is Kalabari. Bonny resisted a bit to keep their Perekule (Pepple) bloodline as Kings but their Kings' mothers and grandmother's likely Igbo by blood. I am also from the last Royal family of Okrika with Igbo bloodline through my Great great grandfather who came down from Igbo land to work for an Okrika man (who himself was originally Igbo) In Okrika we have had Kingship tussles for 2 centuries between the Tubonijus (merchants often descended from Igbos who are the ruling class) and Konijus (traditional fishing occupation mostly descended from Ijaws). You can Google it. Ateke was the Koniju man that ran us out of town and finally broke the hold of Igboid descendants on the Kingship. But no too reason am, Ijaw City states are like Rome. Any Igbo man that comes there almost immediately blends into Ijaw. That's because our slavery wasn't chatel slavery. A slave becomes a member of the household with full rights of a son as long as he is productive. That's how Jaja rose from slavery to head of his house and there are many Amanyanabos, Alabos and Waridabos with similar story not just Jaja. Some years ago, I stumbled across an interview with a slave from Umahia owned by my great great grandfather being interviewed by a Colonial journalist. In general I would say 70% of Igbos came as Slaves, but there were also some big Palm oil merchants based in Igbo land that moved to Ijaw land to partner more closer with their Ijaw partners. They also brought their families and would return to the hinterland to pick slaves. So slowly these Ijaw City states blood became filled by Igbos to the point Bonny and Opobo lost their original Ibani language and now fully speak Igbo, but not Kalabari and Okrika who maintain their mother tongue. But don't get it twisted, the culture is fully Ijaw, same Gods, same masquerades, nothing like New Yam festival, Nzobu Nzobu or red cap. |

João Neves was the star of the show. Vitinha finally has a partner.
They should free these Portuguese boys of the influence of Bruno, Felix and Ronaldo. A 3 man Portugal midfield of Palhinha, Neves and Vitinha will dominate anyone. |

Raphinha and Dembele ain't winning no Ballon dor, unless they do something exceptional in the final. You don't just arrive at Ballon Dor in one season, you must have built familiarity and some loyalty with the voters in previous years.
Mbappe in the lead and Harry Kane second favourite depending on the UCL outcome
Niggas never voted for Raphinha and Dembele in past years but they have thumbprint Mbappe and Kane before and those niggas are overdue after many years of competing at that level. |

AirBere: I mean that back then, he used to score and do assists but he wasn't passing the eye test in terms of ball retention and dribbling. I'm not saying he was bad. I know Ralph at Leeds and Chelsea also wanted him.
There's a reason some of your fans called him fake Brazilian who couldn't dribble a cone. Now he's scoring, assisting and he's even doing some nice flicks and dribbles. He's enjoying his football again. Flick is the reason. He always created separation from his man to deliver his cross or shot at Leeds so I don't know why you would say he couldn't dribble, he did the needful. He is a wing version of Debruyne, you can't buy his accuracy in the market |
