Katcall: what has speaking english got to do with coaching? Mourinho is not fluent in english. Pep is not fluent in english. Ancelotti is not fluent in english. Tuchel is not fluent in english. Messi is not fluent in english. Luis enrique is not fluent in english. Klop is not fluent in english. Poch is not fluent in english. Antonio conte is not fluent in english. Nagelsmann is not fluent in english. Ronaldo is not fluent in english. Rodri is not fluent in english. Eto is not fluent in english. Same as many soccer stakeholders across the world. Enough of these babaric stupid colonial mentality
No dey misyarn nonsense. All managers are good and confident communicators
All these guys you mentioned are fluent in multiple languages and manage dressing rooms where players have different native languages. And they are good and passionate communicators. In your average Premier league dressing room, you barely have more than 5 native English speakers so a Mourinho or Pep that speaks 5 languages is a great communicator for such a dressing romm
Finidi can't even communicate well in his lingua franca of English. Shey na Kalabari or pidgin he want dey use ginger Lukman and co.
OkpaNsukkaisBae: I always maintained that economic sanctions are for 3rd world countries. The US companies are trying to come back to their vomit. What changed? The conflict in Ukraine is still going on..clowns everywhere.
Those companies have exited Russia. It doesn't mean they would allow someone use their brand or not extend their trademark for a future return when Russian leadership get sense. At least try dey converse with passengers wey get sense, so you can get some while driving them around.
Jamiuokolla: I understand the resignation stems from NFFs decision to appoint a technical advisor - a move that would result in Finidi's Immediate demotion in both status and benefits.
Like you said, maybe no valid contract - there is no need for him to wait till he is unceremoniously locked out of his office upon resumption one morning
I heard they were going to arbitrarily reduce his salary from N15m to N5m, which means he never had a valid contract
Anyone who knows Finidi is his playing days knows he can't speak English. The small English he has learned since moving to Ipswich is not enough to articulate yourself properly as a coach
BlueAngel444: it weird because he doesn't beat players like that in dribbling nor speed for one to say he is stressing his muscles his style of play shouldn't be causing him all those injuries, except it's a short term issue and he will hopefully outgrow it. I feel maybe like some young players who play lots of games then next season they have injuries muscle related injuries. And it was mostly last season he had a long term out sha, he ended 2022/23 season injured.
He got a major hamstring injury which put him out over 130 days at the end of 23 season, then another major one that knocked him out over 60 days last season
Hamstrings are a sensitive muscle, once they start popping with that severity, they can become chronic. Look at Reece James and Michael Owen as examples
kingBolton: Olise is not a Dr, check his injury records.
He played only 19 games last season (most as sub, or not finishing games) and has missed 195 days with hamstring issues the last 2 years. That's 6.5 months worth of hamstring injuries in 2 years
MemoriesAndMe: I had a similar experience in the past from eating lobsters from a Chinese restaurant. I didn't know I was allergic to it as that was my first time trying it.
My body started itching and my face got swollen just like hers. Wifey simply got me Benadryl and another allergy pill. It was gone overnight like nothing happened.
I've since avoided lobsters from then.
You are lucky you didn't go into anaphylaxis. It would seem you are allergic to shellfish, not just lobster
BlueAngel444: dont know about potential but he is technically good and they want players good aerially so not sure selling counts. He plays good one twos like Maresca likes, even if he doesn't stay he could go on loan to strasbourg since Lavia is back.
Either he plays 6 or 8 like Ndidi did for Leicester under Maresca
Maybe you are watching another football. But then again you could never see Bakayoko weakness
Ugochukwu is very unsafe on the ball, he doesn't know what's around him and goes into blind dribbles in the middle of the pitch without knowing if there's a man on his back, same as Bakayoko. He is also very slow on the first 10 yards
BlueAngel444: All this talk of contract for Gallagher is all good and what, but you're also keeping Santos then what happens to other players, I am guessing loan. If Gallagher stays then Emeka Ugochukwu should be loaned it would waste their ability being 3rd choice.
Ugochukwu has no ability or potential. He should be sold immediately
BlueRayDick: I stopped watching Macaroni a long time ago. I scroll pass his skits anywhere I come across them.
He does nothing but sexualizing women and I don't really find him funny one bit.
I get the fact that Layi is witty and all, but as far as funny skit making is concerned; Nasboi is the GOAT. He's like Kizz Daniel of skit makers; NO BAD SKIT
For some reason, I watch Charles Okocha the most even though all his skit have the same punchline about eating garri
Amigoss: Exactly what I wanted to ask...for example in uk,one would have thought Nigeria would come out tops or top 5 but
There were 10,422 (3,422 remand, 6,632 sentenced and 368 non-criminal) foreign nationals held in custody on 31 March 2024; representing 12% of the total prison population. The number of FNOs in the prison population has increased by 3% compared to 31 March 2023, similar to the percentage growth in the number of British Nationals. This increase was driven by a 9% increase in the FNO remand population and a 4% increase in the sentenced FNO population. The non-criminal Foreign National population fell by 40% over the same period. The most common nationalities after British Nationals in prisons are Albanian (12% of the FNO prison population), Polish (9%), Romanian (7%), Irish (6%) and Jamaican (4%).
It is notable that the Danish government collects information on crimes committed by foreign-born nationals, allowing researchers to create rankings that show which countries have higher conviction rates compared to Danish nationals. Citizens from Japan, the US, Australia, Austria, Argentina, and India have half the conviction rates of Danes, while over 40 countries have higher rates for violent crimes. These nationalities include Kuwaitis, Tunisians, Somalis, Lebanese, Jordanians, Ugandans, Algerians, and Moroccans:
Nigerians by no means have a higher crime rate per head of population than other Nationalities. . . . but your choice of stats doesn't tell us anything useful
Nigerians here are carrying British Pali after 5 years and will count as British, not Nigerian
There are also only 270,000 Nigerian born people in UK. half of whom carry British Pali by now and will count as British, not Nigerian
Unlimited22: My well respected elder brother, the only thing I'll say here is that I REALLY hope he turns out like Palmer.
Because I remember I was rather miffed by that signing after we missed out on Olise, and I watched first few games and I clocked we were onto something.
Because there's really no justification for getting an unproven striker where every man and his dog here has agreed that Jackson's finishing and inexperience were two of the major weapons fashioned against us last season.
I stand gidigba as one of only 2 people here that backed Palmer signing.
£25m is very OK for Duran from a pure football perspective, unless he has some personality issues I'm not aware about
The signing also doesn't throw away Jackson because Jackson is a very good player outside of finishing
Unlimited22: Mid players were our best players this season that's why we're in the conference league qualifiers with no trophy.
That means the players below mid dragged the team down
When Enzo waffed out the team in the last 2 months and Chalobah started and Gallagher moved to Enzo position, only City and Arsenal garnered more points
BlueAngel444: Fofana isn't similar to Duran o, they both have different styles of play. I just feel Fofana is a better goal scorer than Duran who has some red flags in his poor goal output in MLS and Conference league. Getting a highscoring EFL striker maybe better someone with experience
Because having both Jackson and Jhon both developing in a big club like Chelsea is a black flag
Devils advocate
Duran played in MLS soon as he turned 18 and delivered a goal every 170 mins. He transferred to Villa immediately after he turned 19 and has delivered a goal every 138 minutes there, and a goal every 90 mins in EPL, no penalties
Nothing screams poor output on his record, his record is simply untested and you have to go with eye test, and he is looking OK on my eye test
Sportsweb: You Always Love Mid players. Isn't Gallagher and Chalobah your faves?
Chalobah was our best CB this season and Gallagher was our best CM so my mid players are delivering
Duran got everything a striker needs, you are just judging him on being a sub for Ollie Watkins which you are supposed to be at the age of 20
Look at this and tell me with eye test if this is not what anyone needs in a striker
Accurate placement of ball in the corners of the net is there, strength is there, pace is there, composure is there. This is a coaches dream tactically. A player with which you can play attacking football and he will have the composure to pick his spot in a tight defence, but just as importantly, you can park-bus and he will cover the opposition half by himself just like Osimhen did for Nigeria at AFCON. That's tactical flexibility. Watch players for their attributes and not back of newspaper
seankafor: they'd be heading to Venezuela after the Cuba drill
Make Putin arm Cuba and Venezuela.. make we see how uaa will feel
Venezuela is sabre-rattling about annexing Guyana, your fellow black country which is being defended by Brazil. Iran and Russia are parking troops in Venezuela
Dem go still find way to brainwash una that this is fight against West while invading your fellow black country to steal their oil lands. Meanwhile na Brazil (member of BRICS) wey dey defend Guyana. Confusionists.
