But there's still no use keeping him since pochettino doesn't want to him. Almost nobody will pay at least 20m for him in Europe with 9 days to go except he changes his mind to go to saudi.
£20m is just this years portion of his transfer value. His carrying value is still £60m since he has 3 years left on his 5 year contract

So essentially for us not to make loss on a loan deal, someone will need to pay £20m loan fee and carry his full wages. Roma carrying his full wages still leaves a £20m loss.

If we sell him for £60m, we have no loss, if we loan him with £20m loan fee and full salary paid, we have no loss (for this year).

So the £40m they planned to sell him to Saudi for would have included a £20m write off (loss) since it's lower than his carrying value. These are why they keep selling academy players, to offset these losses on Ziyech, Kepa, Lukaku and co

🚨 According to @DiMarzio - Roma would be prepared to pay 100% of Romelu Lukaku’s wages if he was to join on loan.
That's still an accounting loss of £20m to Chelsea for Lukaku this year

How exactly do you think most countries measure their unemployment rate?

The USA uses the same survey just like Nigeria and other countries, only differences is they measure 60,000 households and Nigeria measure 32,000 households.

The only thing Nigeria did was adopt international ILO standard in measuring unemployment rate, just as other countries are doing. So I don’t exactly know what this your postulation is about.
Let me explain my point to you since you don't get where I'm coming from.

UK uses two methods, unemployment claims and survey

US uses survey with unemployment claims as barometer

If a survey extrapolates a number that contradicts unemployment claims, it will be adjusted. The surveyors already have a limiting factor/frame of reference in unemployment claims. So survey cannot tell you there are only 1 million unemployed if 20 million are claiming benefits. The survey result will be revisited and adjusted if there is a schism between both metrics that doesn't make sense.

What mechanism does Naija have for that? Naija mechanism is simply to call Tunde and Mariachi and ask them if they work at least one hour per week for money.

Secondly, there is little to no informal economy in these countries. In the USA, people in the unemployed number who work few hours per week is a fraction of a percentage. You pick up the phone in Nigeria and call Amaka who sometimes makes chinchin or cake on request and ask her if she works one hour per week, she will say yes, but a material percentage of the "employed figure" in Nigeria falls under this category.

How exactly did we fail the first methodology?
.
You failed the first methodology because you simply don't pay Government unemployment benefits, therefore have no real barometer

So obviously our unemployment is measured by survey, and any survey producing 4% in Nigeria is fit for the dustbin

Noo just curious. I didn't know that Nigeria had a comic book market. It's rare to have seen a Nigerian child really into comics.
You missed the point bro. That question can only arise if you are looking to buy comics in the 90s cos it's obvious that you and that nigga aren't on speaking terms so I don't see what merits small talk between you.

To answer your question though, some of my classmates bought comics aplenty in the late 80s and 90s especially the ones into drawing. I remember one nigga Eugene that could recreate any comic perfectly right from Primary 2 and always brought new comic to school to sketch out the pictures. That nigga was a genius. So comic was not beyond us, and it wasn't expensive either cos that Eugene no even get money, he was adopted by his aunty who wasn't too well off, but he had new Marvel or DC comic every week. I guess photocopiers reproduced the originals for mass consumption.

It’s the Global methodology.

It’s what Almost every country on earth is using,
What's that methodology bros?

In most developed countries, they tabulate the number of people collecting Govt unemployment benefits, and they do a survey of tens of thousands of households.

We have already failed on the first methodology. On the second methodology, if the census takers don't chop the money and fake the results, our youths will tell them they are employed while making small chops

I guess these girls making small chops and making N10k per month are employed then

Prigozhin was just the face of Wagner

Wagner main founder is Dmitry Utkin, a Nazi who took his nickname Wagner from Hitlers favourite music composer. Pics below with his Nazi tattoos. He was asked to play the background and let Prigozhin play the front because he was the real Nazi, and an inconvenient truth whilst Russia pointed fingers at Ukrainian Nazis.

He also died onboard the plane crash.

Russias finest Nazi and Putins favourite poodle finally killed by the hand that fed him

arteta is better than pochetino in team building. see how his arsenal team almost won epl last season. was arteta shouting experience experience last season?. how many goals did his striker score last season? which big name did he have last season? see how he blended a young team plus few experienced but not world class players to challenge almighty city and nearly win epl. compare that to our coach so far. in preseason we were firing in 4231 formation ready to storm league, all of a sudden the league starts, and our so called team builder is back to five man defence and loaning out and selling our youngsters and shouting experience experience up and down. bet me, he will be sacked before the end of the season.
How many years did Arteta take to get it right. You forgot how many years Arteta took to ease out Auba, Lacazette, Pepe and the likes

Caicedo is good on the ball. I’m sure you’re not passing the jury on him based on yesterday’s performance?

That was just a nervy debut, definitely he’ll come good.

On the aspect of being a runner, I’ll prefer to call him a shuttler. I’m sure you never had an issue with Kante shuttling around the field, same goes with Caicedo.

He’s a player with incredible box-to-box mobility to get up and down the pitch, who airs on the defensive side of the game over any attacking brilliance he exudes going the other way, just like Kante.
Make we dey watch. I trust your insights on midfield

The day dem open Dangote nyash for roundtripping ehn. Allegations done dey.come out small small. He is Nigerias biggest recipient of welfare

https://www.nairaland.com/7810204/tinubu-receives-petition-against-dangote

The petition, seen by POLITICS NIGERIA, filed by Ahmed Fahan, a Social Justice Advocate, alleged that Dangote grossly violated the Forex Guidelines of the CBN for years.

The petition was attached to a letter written to the President on August 18th, 2023.

The Letter read; "BRAZEN ILLEGALITY: HOW DANGOTE SIPHONED $3.4BILLION DOLLARS THROUGH THE CBN USING FORM A"

"I write to you today as an alarmed Nigerian citizen and a tenacious advocate for social justice. I bring to your attention a scandalous issue of gross financial misconduct and illegality involving the Dangote Group - a flagrant abuse of the Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) forex guidelines for the past 10 years."

"First exposed by Dr. Ope Banwo of Change Vigilantes International (CVI) in his 2016 petition to the former President Buhari(read here: https://www.ripplesnigeria.com/dangote-forex-violation-cbn/?amp) this brazen illegality involves a shocking violation of CBN guidelines, causing a USD 3.4 billion diversion from Nigeria's national treasury at rates between 150-200USD when the parallel exchange rate was more than double that. This insidious financial maneuvering still threatens the very stability of our country's economy even today."

"Astoundingly, this flagrant siphoning was carried out using Form A, instead of the legal route through Form M, which is tantamount to a gross violation of the law as it offers no financial returns to our country. The barefaced audacity of these financial transgressions is further displayed by several implicated banks, which have audaciously sanctioned millions of dollars at the CBN rate to the Dangote Group, in direct violation of CBN's instructions to source funds from the parallel or interbank market."

"These unscrupulous actions facilitated the illegal transfer of funds for supposed foreign investments, including the supposed construction of factories in countries like Congo and Liberia. These funds were moved out of Nigeria with the alleged unlawful aim of industrial developments in other nations, while our own country was left bereft of these much-needed investments."

More worryingly, there are several instances, such as in Liberia, where promised factories were never built. The siphoned funds were, instead, reportedly transferred to Dangote’s accounts abroad, thereby exploiting Form A for illicit cash movements that cannot be reclaimed by our country.

"It must be highlighted that the approvals sought from the CBN clearly stated that money sought by Dangote must be bought from the Interbank market - which means money outside the CBN. However, the funds were bought and transferred from the national treasury with the CBN, which was illegal. On a continued basis over the years and contrary to the approvals, Emefiele’s CBN continued illegally supplying money from Nigeria’s treasury at cheaper rates to Dangote Group (see some evidence attached). This is an illegality that must be righted. For instance in 2015, Form A number AA2541751 was used to transfer over 341million through telegraphic transfer (ECOBANK) in contravention of CBN directive to use interbank funds only for the Dangote Project in Cameroon whilst on February 12, 2016, Form A number AA2649626 was used to transfer over 420million for spare parts in Congo, also in contravention of the CBN directive."

Citing a Russian finance ministry proposal, the Financial Times said large exporters could be forced to convert up to 80% of their foreign currency into roubles in order to raise demand for the currency.

Other proposals included a ban on foreign dividend payments and loan extensions, cancelling import subsidies, limiting currency swaps, and reducing the amount of foreign currency exporters can take out of Russia, the newspaper reported.
