When I was a kid swimming in Amadi creek in PH, I tried to save a friend from drowning and he pushed me under the water in a state of panic, while he was collecting fresh air above and I was kicking for the both of us. I already knew the technique to approach a drowning person as below, but bros grabbed me while I was trying to approach him from the back and put him in the hold like below. I don't even know where I got the strength to extricate myself from that situation and also put him in the position but I could have lost my life that day as I was losing strength underwater.
