He never wanted Twitter, he was looking for an excuse to sell his overinflated Tesla stock (in the guise of raising cash for Twitter purchase) without alarming the market
raumdeuter: Reuters) - Tesla Inc Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk said on Friday he was terminating his $44 billion deal for Twitter Inc, saying that the social media company had failed to provide information about fake accounts on the platform.
They actually provided everything on a scientific basis of hundreds of thousands of accounts. Elon wanted to test 100 accounts in a random unscientific way - an obvious ploy to sidestep the deal.
It's one of two things, either Elon was looking for yet another reason to dump his overinflated Tesla stock without alarming the market, or he realised that $54 was too high a valuation for Twitter in the current and impending economic climate. Twitter can be bought for $37 today and will probably reach $20 by the time we hit the bottom.of the bear market
Amoto94: I used to be a fan of Che sha I later learned that Castro traded him when he was becoming an obstacle to his enjoyment of the loot.
Revolutionaries and ideologues always fall out over one thing or another but I don't think it reached that level or his daughters will not be still in Cuba serving under the Castros.
Havertz10: came to this realization a few days ago about most politicians that have been soiled by msm
I always knew that msm was influenced but Russias’ special military operation really showed me how far reaching the manipulation goes. I have never actually listened to trump speak, mostly got all my bits on him from msm narratives. I watched one of his interviews recently, he is crude, unabashed, and direct, but he isn’t stupid or deluded like we have been led to believe. Boris Johnson is another that plays the weak persona in public but is very cognizant.
From Che Guevara far-left nigga, you will soon turn far-right Proud boy. Putin trolls are doing good job on you.
Itsrm: Wike wants to be president. If he decamps to APC, he will have to wait for 16 years to actualise his dream. First he has to wait for BATs tenure to end, he will wait another 8 years for power to shift to the North before it comes back to the South. There is no assurance, APC will even give him the slot by then.
If he stays in PDP, he has another realistic chance to contest 4 or 8 years from now.
That is why I don't see Wike defecting but you can never be sure of anything with these guys.
Not suggesting he definitely wants to decamp but he will explore all options. The scenario you painted above also applies if Atiku wins cos Okowa would be next in line if power was zoned to SS
Itsrm: I really don't see Wike defecting to APC but I'm sure there'll be internal sabotage by him after Atiku did him dirty.
The Wike I know would have issued a statement after Okowa was selected. If he hasn't, something is obviously cooking but I don't think he'll defect.
You never show your hand in politics until you have carried all stakeholders along both in PDP, and reconciled with the APC like Tonye Cole, not to mention Amaechi. So even if he was planning decamp, he wouldn't tell you until all parties are on the same side. Make he no be like Amaechi that decamped and lost the whole structure of Rivers State in so doing.
If Goodluck his political Godfather can decamp, decamp is not beyond Wike, but he will be powerless if he decamps and the whole House of Assembly in Rivers doesn't move with him
chrisooblog: other than serving as a means to provide alternative power for generators how much does petrol really contribute to farm produce transportation?
I've seen some analysis as to why foodstuff in markets cost so much and one of the main culprits was the high price of diesel. So in practical terms how will subsidy removal really cause cost of leaving to spiral when it doesn't factor much in transportation of agricultural produce?
Correct talk. I been done forget say GloriousGbola informed me there is no subsidy on diesel just this morning
Amoto94: Chelsea's breakthrough (for De Jong) came when Barça opened negotiations to sign Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso. The Blues, at the request of Tuchel, introduced the option of introducing the Dutchman to carry out a joint operation.
{Sports}
Going to a failure club to sign their failed players from them. Spits.
The difference is that now the masses can benefit, when it's removed, no more benefit.
If subsidy is removed today, I can bet anything in the world that we won't see the effect. The money being saved will be stolen.
The crux of the matter. Fuel subsidy is the only social support Nigeria gives to its citizens.
Also the cost of transportation can make up to 50 to 80% of the cost of basic agricultural foods that poor Nigerians eat, reason why you can buy items in the North and Middle Belt for 1/3rd to 1/2 the price in the South. Whereas cost of transportation will be like 5% of the input cost in the Western world where cost of labour is the big input cost. So the inflationary effect on Nigerians will be dire, hence economic models that say subsidies are inefficient are applicable to the Western world but as far as Nigeria, it will lead to unimaginable suffering and social turmoil if subsidy is lifted.
GloriousGbola: diesel and atk are dergulated - diesel is 750 to 850mper litre today
ditto for ATK
i have a project in kano. flights were 25k at start of this year.my last flight was 70k . hotel cost has gone up because diesel
every business operating cost has gone up because of disesl. ditto for every good ytransported via trailer
now imagine that petrol goes from 165 to 700/litre
that is instant inflation
your n100 okada ride will jump to like n500 straiight ditto for danfo, ditto for uber
you will think twice, thrice four times about any journey or triprzr-echogeneration everyone using petrol gen will embark on further tightening [i no longer run through the night]
and that is middle class people
for the real poor, living day to day, with no savings to first deplete . . .
this country is not built for it
let obi enter and actually pull that ish - the obidenst will flip faster than they did on gej
this government actually killed the subsidy in 2016 , when price of oil was so low (courtesy of saudi flooding the market in a bid to destroy fracking) that it didn't matter. the moment oil pricespetrol rose, and price of petrol rose, they reinstated subsidy as underecoverry - NNPC only
we are truly bleeped - low oil price low income, low price of petrol - high oil price, good income, high price of petrol
Didn't know diesel isn't subsidised. No wonder kpofire conversion to diesel is thriving
Emmynator: Boss Ibime, you have good knowledge of economics. What is your take on removal of fuel subsidy? I read somewhere that unsubsidized fuel is somewhere around $5 per gallon.
Fuel subsidy is the only Govt support Nigerians receive. People will die if they remove it. Fundamentally, fuel subsidy is inefficient, but in Nigeria's case, removal of subsidy will drag people from poverty to death.
Peter Obi is for subsidy removal by the way. Some niggas go cry if they have to pay N500 per litre. N400 is the current landing cost, add jara for profit
uniquetechng: Even if all Buhari's cabinet members resigns will he resign as president ?
Buhari is elected by the people. Boris Johnson is not. It's Boris Johnson's party that is elected by the people, not the Prime Minister per se.
In Parliamentary system, people elect their local representatives (members of Parliament) and the party with most MPs then send forth their Party Leader to be the Prime Minister. Which means the Prime Minister serves at the pleasure of his party MPs and they can change him or put pressure on him to resign anytime they wish
That's why Parliamentary systems like Italy, Israel, Japan, UK can and do change Prime Minister every 6 months and nothing will happen. I like Parliamentary system, it checks any rogue Executive excess.
raumdeuter: Barcelona’s financial woes has no end in sight, with the club apparently owing more than €126 million in transfer fees to various clubs in Europe.
The growing transfer debts are the byproduct of the lavish spending from the previous board led by Josep Maria Bartomeu.
Among other debts, this includes a figure of €29 million being owed to Liverpool for the transfer of Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian international had joined Barça for a fortune back in 2018, but the club are yet to pay the full fees.
Other news outlets have widely speculated that the Catalans also owe money to Bayern Munich for the transfer of Arturo Vidal. The same can be said for Borussia Dortmund, in the case of Ousmane Dembele.
All the debts combined amount to a figure of more than €126 million, owed to 19 different clubs.
Told Barcelona are willing to hand Frenkie de Jong back €3.5m in deferred wages at this point but ask him to forgo the rest in a bid to see the move to Man United transpire.
It's not only the previous President. What is the current president doing to put them back on an even keel except chasing Torres, Raphinha, Lewa they can't really afford.
Quest7777: Not surprised the guy is not a minor. Nevertheless they still have serious charges to answer to under UK laws.
No they don't. If he's not a minor, the case is dead, as long as he signed to be a donor.
But if this PVC is what they used to rule he is not a minor, then they should investigate whether Ekweremadu has not got INEC to falsify this PVC. This picture potentially looks like what was taken in the airport, not 2019 when he was a nobody
