The police stations have been burnt and demolished to the ground. An officer is even being burnt inside one of the stations, and his head cut off.
At least 3 officers are dead. The police started the whole issue yesterday by killing a little girl, who was returning home from school.
Soldiers even supported thugs that burnt down the main station at Ojo. The police are to be blamed for all this. This means the protest has ended. If you get sense now, na to stay indoors cos Army will respond to all this. Na villa go sure pass this period |

In this season where strikers are scoring 2, 3 goals per game, we can't be making do with strikers in teams that score 1 goal per game.
See as Raumdeuter has left us behind just by combining Kane and Son. |

OJURONGBE1: Where did you get this from? All the transfer targets Lampard requested for this summer except Declan Rice were signed. I, for one , never liked the idea of Havertz because we had a similar player in RLC and the hype and huge transfer fee on his name. This has been well known if you read Chelsea news. Lampard saw more gain in bringing in Rice with the money and he likes to keep Mount in the team to act as a trigger for his pressing game. Havertz is a club signing, not saying Lampard would argue vexatiously with the club about it, but he put more priority on solving Rice issue. |

Unlimited22: Ibime, there are a lot of things that cause us to swallow goals like hot pounded yam.
I agree Kepa is one of them, but when you say we conceded the second least amount of shots, did you take into consideration the quality of the shots? 1 tap in from 6 yards is worth more than ten potshots from 30.
I'll also remind you that there's a recurring theme we've had since last season, aside individual errors.
The backline doesn't press up with the midfield, leaving huge gaps between midfield and defence and 3 on 3 or 4 on 3 situations when the initial press is bypassed. Which Lampard and his coaching staff can solve.
We cannot put all the blame on any one person. But we can fix the problems which we have done, for the most part. It just remains a CDM to partner Kante, a CB in his prime and getting the press right. When you play highline, the shots you will face are limited but of higher quality, granted for any team, however a good percentage of quality shots we face are from brainfarts, and at least 30% of the goals Kepa concedes are low quality shots. Take those away and we would be on par with any high pressing team in the amount of goals we concede which is the calculated risk you choose to take playing attacking football. Speaking of press, you will be the first to say Mount out, when Mount is about the only guy that gets the press right. Putting a team together for this style of football means getting rid of weakness one at a time. Jorginho is another weakness contributing to gap between midfield and defence. Lampard did not target Havertz, the club told him to take Havertz and he acquiesced. His main target to solve that midfield gap was Rice which is where he would have rather spent the money |

swiz123: Forget about your statistics. Lampard's set up and poor selection makes Chelsea prone to facing serious clear cut chances. We are not taking about opponents trying their luck with some funny shots. Chelsea's high line leaves us painfully exposed at the back. Check the amount of easy finishes opponents had against us last season and this season. Highline is why we have the 2nd most shots for in the league just like Liverpool and Man City play highline so they can attack opponents. What is clear shot about Kepa literally getting heighted almost every game from 25 yards. And even when opponents have clear shot, half the time is when Kepa, Alonso and co literally give them the ball to have clear shot. I should forget about stats yet someone came here to lie that Chelsea shots faced increased 40% when Lampard took over and another confused fellow was cheering it on. So you should use stats to lie, but I can't bring out the correct stats to correct lies? |

Chelsea had the second highest shots for and the second lowest shots against last season.
The next person that comes here to propagate lies go need to bring out stats. The manager has done his job by getting his team into the box and limiting the opposition shots - 2nd best in the league on both counts. Players brainfarting in situations they are expected to deal with can only be dealt with by replacing crap players, not by telling lies about the manager. |

NihiIist: Lampard is the problem of this chelsea team. The way he organizes the team and his tactical approach exposes the team to facing more shots. Did you know that total number of shots Chelsea began to face per game after lampard took over increased by 40%. The problem of chelsea and kepa is lampard. The earlier he leaves the club, the better. His all out attacking approach exposes the backline alot. You are a liar. Chelsea faced the 2nd least amount of shots last season after Man City, highlighted below. Go and blame your Spanish dwarf keeper, not Lampard.

nihilistjnr: EndSARS to LGBTQ has no correlation imo.
Police brutality is illegal by default. EndSARS is protesting against illegal police activity.
If homosexuality was legal, but conservative Nigerians were running around shooting the gays, then I can see a case for protest.
In Nigeria, homosexuality is against the law. Nigeria is a democracy, which means that any law against homosexuality is based on the will of the majority. At least in theory.
That means that anybody who wants pro-gay legislation should follow the democratic process, and elect representatives of their agenda to the legislative.
Sneaking an agenda that most people don't support, into a movement that most people do is a dubious act. It has more correlation than asking for Constitutional review, referendum and demand for 50% of young people to oversee a referendum, or asking for review and overhaul of all public agencies and education and health sectors and slashing of "the cost of Governance". Demands also include increase of Police Pay which is at odds with civil service pay structure as no one can arbitrarily increase the pay of a section of the civil service above another on same grade. This I'm quoting from the official list of demands, none of which are actionable and tied to any measurable output. When you look at the unofficial lists including sack of service chiefs, resignation of an elected president etc, it is clear it has become a free-for-all for every pressure group to add mouth, so why homo go carry last? Their demand is actually actionable with the stroke of a pen, measurable, instantly verifiable and in line with most civilised countries best practice on human rights, and even closer tied to the original demand than any other. And who said the majority of the country must support it for you to add mouth to the list of demands? Does majority of the country even have an inkling what those demands are talking about? They are free to join mouth like everyone else. Why must we chase them away because they are homo? Who even said majority of the country support 10 years penalty for homosexual activity? Maybe in the North, but if it's by numbers, most of the North will vote to keep SARS so all protest is therefore illegitimate if it's by support. |

nihilistjnr: I'm not sure what identity politics has to do with ENDSARS, afterall even actual criminals like Yahoo boys and Armed-robbers are victims of SARS and police brutality.
When IGP announced that SARS had be revoked, they didn't announce that one or two SARS officers would be retained for the purpose of chasing LGBTQ.
If police brutality ends, it ends for everybody by default.
So why focus on LGBTQ? Omo that na agenda o.
The feminist twitter account have now deleted the tweet to mitigate the backlash. They know what they were doing The ENDSARS list of demands has expanded into all sorts of demands about good governance beyond policing. I actually see nothing in the new demands that fit better with the original demands of the protest than challenging a law that enshrines the abuse of human rights, of which Police are the first arbiters of justice. Jumping from #EndSars to asking Buhari to resign or NASS to take paycut is more of a leap than addressing a human rights issue which ENDSARS is primarily all about. The criminalisation of homosexuality and the 10 years penalty for it is more related to the human rights abuses that underpinned ENDSARS than the subsequent demands for Good Governance, which are not human rights issues. |

nihilistjnr: Omo EndSARS don involve LGBTQ campaign.. Homosexuality is illegal in Nigeria and effeminate men have been seen as cash machines by Police due to the fact their mere existence is illegal. There are myriad of groups and NGOs banding together to propel #ENDSARS. It makes sense they include the gay community as they are likely well funded and have an axe to grind with Police. Whether this turns away the more conservative members of public remains to be seen. It will definitely intensify pro-SARS feeling in the North if the imams jump on it. |

Actman05: In my opinion, I think Frank should set up the team to protect Kepa more since we know he is not good enough, at least for his confidence. What do you think all the 3 man defence last season was for? It was to protect Kepa, James, Alonso, Rudiger and Chris with strength of numbers. Kepa faced the second least big chances last season in the league. What more does he want? This is a new season with plenty investment in attacking players. We are not going to play 3 man defence to protect anyone when there are expensive attacking players to fit in. You can't drive a Ferrari like a Beetle. Lampard has a mandate from the club not to turn Kepas £72m to ashes. At the very least, the clubs official line is that Kepa is still considered highly and Mendy is only being brought to challenge him, not to throw him away in the dustbin. This means Kepa is at least guaranteed to be 2nd choice keeper. Left to Lampard alone, he will throw Kepa all the way inside the dustbin and use Caballero and Baxter sef if Mendy is injured. |

Leyqute: Mikel was a regular at the start of his Chelsea career. He chop bench well well afterwards.
Mikel spent 11 years at Chelsea (2006 - 2017).
If Chelsea played 38 EPL + 10 European competition+ 6 local cup games (FA+Carling) every season on the average (it's more than that though), that will amount to 54 games per season.
So, in Mikel's 11 years at Chelsea, he was eligible to play in 54*11 = 594 games. Let's say he got injured and missed 100 games, that would be around 500 games he should've played if he was a regular. He only managed 372 games in total.
Lampard spent 13 years (2001-2014) at Chelsea and played 648 games. That's almost double Mikel's apps in roughly the same period of time.
Mikel warm bench oga. Or have you forgotten this image? I was waiting for someone to do the maths for that oga |
