See our lost sister Toyin Salau, just 19 years old.
I mean, see the level of profanity coming out of her mouth during BLM protest.
She was protesting the death of a black transexual (Tony McDade) who having pistol-whipped his partner, came back the next day to beat her some more but the partners son and family members beat him up instead.
He went on Facebook live threatening to kill them with guns. He finally caught the partner's son and stabbed him ferociously leading to Police having to shoot him dead.
This girl Toyin decide to go mad cursing and swearing that Black Lives Matter and Trans Lives matter over the Tony McCabe dude who deserved everything he got.
Just watching the video, you know madness is not far from this one. She then decide to protest "unjust living conditions" in her parents house (probably loving but strict Nigerian parents) and moved to a refuge. Shortly after, she was raped and murdered by a black man.
Now they are campaigning for her and tagging her as a rising leader of BLM movement lost early and some rappers like noname are promoting her cause.
As for me sha, dem no born me well to see this pikin wey don miss road as a leader that speaks for me. RIP to the dead.
Unlimited22: If you've been on Twitter today, you've probably seen that Black American has been trending at or near the top of Twitter NG. Why? Someone gave his opinion concerning Nicki Minaj and one idiot answers with the age-old 'I am not about to argue with an African whose WiFi will soon go off.' I haven't been abroad, but with what I've seen across social media, these guys don't rate us at all.
Why do we have a tendency to negatively focus on the minority? So if 90% of AAs identify with Africa, must we offend the whole of AAs just because we don't like the statements from the 10% minority who make ignorant comments. I mean, look at the nonsense these guys were typing.
In this life, we must always keep a level head and focus on material statistics, not the immaterial minority. Donjazet asked me if I've experienced racism before and I said not really. Guess what, speaking to one of my old colleague yesterday reminded me that I have probably actually faced racism from one foolish lady who was in a senior position to me over a decade ago, and I considered her a closet racist, although she never did anything overt, she was always briefing against me. I japa to another job and even genuinely forgot about that matter cos I no dey carry my experience with foolish people for head, when there are majority of people out there that treat people with dignity, and a system where my skills are valued regardless what prejudice some people may hide individually.
BlueMann: Ehhhh...I think James can manage. At least he's got some Pace. And his crossing will cause more problems at the other end. I prefer seeing James against Sterling than Alonso against Mahrez. Or maybe I just like James
Jane's does not have reaction pace, infact he has one of the slowest reaction over 10 yards you can hope to find and that will be fatal against someone like Sterling who makes quick short bursts.
I don't consider James that quick even at full speed, but it takes him many strides to get into full speed. Some people are sluggish over short distance and build up speed over long distance. James is extremely sluggish over short distance.
That boy needs to lose weight. You can't be a fullback on crossing alone. I was a big promoter of him at season start but over the season, I've seen so many basics of fullback defensive play missing from his game. He is NEVER at the back post with opponent when diagonal ball comes from the other side. If he runs forward at speed, he never has recovery stamina if the ball goes to the opponent. These are just few examples.
Right now, he is only good for small games when defence is not tested and we need quality deliveries to unlock a small opponent.
BlueMann: Really? I mean about James. I don't think he's that bad, Sunday was just kind of a dud. Azpi is tough on one-on-ones too, he can handle Mahrez if Alonso can. Anyways I expect a good display, I just hope we don't try to dominate possession against City. Cos when Pep allows you have the ball, whatever he's planning can't be good.
If Azpi moves to Mahrez side, Sterling will kill James on the right side.
James weakness is tracking runs, and Sterling makes too many runs.
Exactly what I was telling my guys... Kante did well today, but wasn't really pressured.
Players like Jorginho or Gilmour will come in real handy against City.
And Alonso should not be starting that game. James - Azpi will be nice.
James make more mistakes than Alonso and Emerson combined defensively.
Alonso and Azpi to start that game for me.
Although Alonso is slow, he barely makes tracking mistakes, he just gets burned for pace one-on-one. If Mahrez is on his wing, Mahrez is not the type to run you, but to dribble you inside, and Alonso is best placed to cope with that.
Unlimited22: We played against a team that mostly sit back. One of Jorginho or Gilmour has to start versus City. Kante will be pressed into making mistakes with the ball, he's not as press resistant as those two. He can play alongside the starter to help put out fires in the midfield while Kovacic drives forward to help the attack.
Also, Pulisic has to start that game.
Forget Jorginho, he's not press resistant. Gilmour is the man for the job.
donjazet: I assure you, these are not happy memories I am recalling. Then, not once did it occur to me to try my best to rationalize the gays and their acts. My total conviction was that this was a sin against God.
It would be much later after secondary school, after I had gained a certain exposure to the world at large and developed a curious mind that I would begin to try to understand this unique human biological and psychological phenomenon.
Before, I used to think it was only America that allowed gay freedom, I was quick to jump upon the band wagon in labelling them the country of zero moral standards and a country that has "sold it's soul to the devil" and all other negative euphemisms attached.
But when I learnt that they were more than 50 countries that embraced these individuals, it really did a number on me, that was when I started to seriously look into the causes of homosexuality and it's impact on the society.
As an avid researcher, I studied this issue very well and made some discoveries.
First of all, homosexuality is almost as old as man, almost every single religion that has written texts have made mention of this group. A lot of historical cultures also record homosexuality contents, meaning that this is not something that is just learned. Some ancient cultures viewed it favourably, while many viewed it negatively.
However, these group have persisted. Some biologists and genealogists have published reports that postulates that there is an existence of a gay gene. That people do not choose their sexual orientation.
That sometimes it might be recessive or dormant and sometimes it is triggered by external factors. Some neurologists assert that homosexuality is a function of the brain. That gay people have a slightly different anatomical structure than their straight counterparts.
I don't know for a fact whether these claims are true or false, but what I now know for a fact is that gay people are as normal as can be. It is not shown in the face. There are millions of men around the world who meet their fellow men and develop an emotional connection with them and both of them live just the same lives as their straight counterparts. But the most important thing about this is that, it shouldn't be anybody's business what two people choose to do in their bedroom so far as there is consent.
I have learnt this lesson now. People condemn gay's purely on religious grounds and that is just pure bullshit.
No government should have to legislate on the personal private life of people. If you are jailing gays, who exactly will it help? I can't understand the rational behind jailing gay's. When i became aware of all these and broadened my horizons on this, I felt soo terrible for my past actions, I thought about the physical and psychological damage I had inflicted upon a lot of people from my past. I started reaching out to some via social media and apologising profusely, seeking their forgiveness. I can't start narrating that experience here but it was very interesting and complicated.
Some were now married, some were really happy to find someone they could confide in. The boy who I narrated about our encounter is now in Canada and has become a gay activist. I was surprised to learn he had done an interview with a major media outlet on the plight of LGBTQ in Africa.
When raumdeuter recently accused me of being gay, it was so sudden and unexpected, I guess it triggered a sort of great guilt and fear in me because of my ill treatment towards others on this. Even though, I had longed since accepted these people, I found myself on the defensive purely on the basis of fear and guilt. The guilt of my past actions towards gay people and The fear that total strangers online would hate me for "being" gay.
When I made the statement; "I'm in my house, come and beat me". People didn't really understand that comment but that was me being literal.
Anyways, izzuo, I have gone through this great length, literally, to point out that we are in an unforgiving society, one which is shaped by our divisive religious beliefs. I even remember that you were one of those who began to laugh at me when raumdeuter called me gay. That is your judgemental mind at work.
Moreso, the fact that Dayo would think that the only way he could insult me was by calling me gay attests to the mentality spoken of here. So it's a very fallacious statement to make that nobody cares if you are gay here when people are burnt to death when found out in our country.
U1: The FPL folks seriously got this one wrong! What's the sense in determining winners of H2H leagues with a coin toss while no games were played? That's crazy. They are turning this thing into a casino game of sorts already.
FPL messed up big time this season like never before!
Na coding issue. They had to go on best information at the time.
nihilistjnr: But as I trawled through his posts, i began to see you were questioning him rather firmly. A bit too firmly infact...and I thought to report it here to the rest of the Chelsea Coven
As a fellow disciple of OtemAtum, we will not accept this apostasy!
