We are paying the price for year upon year of failed transfer windows. There is no single resounding success in 6 years of transfers. Normally even if a team is struggling there will be one player or two that fans will absolve of blame. In this case we don’t have even one successful transfer.
If they don’t spend Pep-level money on the RIGHT players over the next 2-3 windows we will be in for a long night. Lindelof is class IMO |

simonjassy: so you are telling me since hazard decided not to show up in that game,no other chelsea player could step up?. if this is indeed true, then the other players are evidently as culpable as hazard who didn't turn up. It only takes one of the front 3 to slow the attack down, especially one who gets the ball often. Ask Greatihex and Chelseafan1 why they were cussing Hazard yesterday, it's because his unseriousness blunted the attack. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 6:20pm On Apr 23, 2019 |
airmark: So Cahill or other defenders should take more of the blame.
One wonders why Hazard always getting rated higher for shakushaku even when he didn't score from open play.
Matic, Oscar and Fabregas were useless in that match, but Hazard knocked us out. Because Chelsea set everything up to come through Hazard and if he decide to be unserious, he can kill a game by slowing our attacking play Playing against 10 men since 30th minute, he was just walking with the ball like it's training session. That match was 0-0 till 85th minute when Cahill scored from corner. Hazard wasted the first 85 minutes doing walking football instead of killing off PSG |

airmark: If Cahill's goal didn't make him top Hazard in rating then that goal excuse for high rating should be blotted out. We've seen moments players wouldn't score and still won motm.
I will find time later in the night to check each players stats and see who nicked it with key passes, chances created among other key stats. Cahill will get points docked for conceding twice |

airmark: But Raumdeuter's reliable independent raters, put him as one of Chelsea's best performers that night. None outperformed him in that match.
Maybe Dayo's reliable source, should be ignored henceforth, it seems they don't have eyes. Only for scoring a penalty. A goal adds points to ratings. Also ratings do not take into account the speed with which you do things, they just check how many times you touched the ball, dribbled etc. Go and check our comments on Nairaland on the day of the game. Hazard slowed our tempo to zero that day. Opposition has 10 men, and someone will be receiving every pass, when you give him, he will slow the attack to walking pace. My vexation that day no be here. Because he knew PSG had little threat, he turned the match into training session instead of killing them off. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 10:12am On Apr 23, 2019 |
Greatihex: the most annoying thing is that when the guy decides not to play football, he will still be the best player for a team like chelsea. no competition whatsoever for the guy that should make him more serious. if he had serious competition for his place, i am not sure he will be choosing when to be useful for the team. imagine a team like chelsea not signing an attacker (one not named a striker) since we signed pedro. how many years now. The problem is they kept passing him the ball during that PSG game, and they always pass him the ball and he will be slowing down attacks. When you have a player like Hazard in your team, he dictates the way the team play. Players become lazy - instead of driving the issue, busting a gut to force overlaps etc, they just give him the ball to dribble their way out. This single point of failure has cost us badly in many games when he decide to dilly-dally instead of playing urgently. That's why I say heaven will not fall if he leave cos players will start doing basic attacking moves again. |

Greatihex: the two times we played everton this season, pickford was the reason we couldn't get a goal. he can't be worse than kepa. no way. Trust me, that guy na error. Ask Everton fans. The guy too short, and he's a gung-ho goalkeeper. |

Greatihex: Hazard is a complete fool. this nigga was busy playing rubbish yesternight, walking on the pitch with the ball. slowing down our attack with so much confidence, doing one thing again and again even after seeing that it is not working. what kind of nonsense is that?
for 90mins, this nigga never cut in to the right to take a shot. always hugging the touchline. i was so pissed with the fool yesternight. Anyone with eyes should go back and watch the PSG match in UCL where we lost despite playing against 10 men. This is what Hazard was doing all game and made us lose that game with his lackadaisical attitude. When you are playing against 10 men, you have to move the ball quickly to capitalise on the man advantage but Hazard injected anaesthetic into our game that night. |

Greatihex: no. you can't tell me that someone who could not cut in to the right to take a shot for 90 min had a good game. someone who continued to hug the touchline , walking with the ball, delivering weak setpieces had a good game. the only reasonable thing he did yesterday was that assist to kante. This happens too frequently with Hazard |
