SMFH! We need Giroud on this pitch So many chances to cross being wasted, the ones we are crossing are going toward Kante |
Alonso again! |
nihilistjnr:Matic was his player. Salah is before his time and nothing to do with him. |
nihilistjnr:Milan also have no stomach for Higuain as Higuain has flopped there. They are looking for exit from the agreement, and Chelsea decided to honour at least part of the agreement with no financial injury to Juventus. Same as Torres loan to Milan which ended up diverting to Atletico. This is different to Roma who were actively looking forward to activating their clause, while Milan are seeking all means to escape their clause. Milan haven't escaped it, they just found someone to lift some of the burden of honouring it. |
nihilistjnr:This is the only argument you have that is worth considering. Of course, Roma can pre-agree a contract with Salah for when they make the deal permanent, and even if not, it is totally up to Salah totally. This is Chelseas second attempt to sell him, why should he choose them over Roma? Conte when asked in his official capacity as Chelsea manager gave the correct answer. He has a duty to absolve the club and any of his colleagues that may have input into Salah sale. He is not absolving himself, cos he has nothing to do with Salah. Maybe you expected him to say "Yeah, Salah was a great player. I don't know why these eediots sold him". He gave a perfect diplomatic answer abeg, I don't know how you read into that as him absolving himself. |
raumdeuter:Simple as ABC. No need to turn amala. |
nihilistjnr:Simple. He spoke to Cuadrado simply because Cuadrados loan allowed him to come back to Chelsea. Don't think Roma will typically start discussing contract with Salah only after making a bid. The usual practice is to agree terms on permanent contract with the player when you enter the loan-to-buy option. |
nihilistjnr:Cuadrado was not on any similar loan to Salah. Cuadrado deal became mandatory only after 2 years. Salah deal was basically if Roma bid a certain amount, the matter is closed. |
nihilistjnr:It's mandatory for Chelsea to accept the agreed purchase amount in the loan. That means Conte has nothing to do with it. Mourinho agreed to Salah sale not once, but TWICE. Once to Fiorentina and once to Roma. |
nihilistjnr:Once again, Salah was on a loan with mandatory purchase agreement with Roma. You want to argue signings and can't remember the facts. |
nihilistjnr:The Crux of the matter is that a man made two statements in one sentence and you want us to accept he was lying in one part of the sentence and not the other. One statement- "I did not want to sell Salah" was proven to be an obvious lie. I also know that the other part of the statement, that he bought Salah is a lie because I follow my club and I remember perfectly that we were linked with Salah before Jose. What he wants to say is that he agreed to take on Salah when it was suggested to him. We can even see the obvious lie in his exagerrations "I fought for Salah", "I loved the boy" yet his actions in not playing Salah and in writing him off after 12 months speak the truth more. And in addition, we have club sources briefing that Emenalo signed Salah. So no, I will not accept one part of his statement as truth and the other as lie. They are both lies, or gross exagerrations. Back to my original post you quoted, the names I listed as Mourinho signings are Mourinho signings and the others are Emenalo signings. I don't need a soothsayer to tell me Jorginho, Higuain and Kovacic are Sarri signings while Pulisic is not. I follow my club and I have good memory to document exactly how transfers come about. I can't come two years later and claim Salah was not sold under Mourinho when both his Fiorentina and his Roma loan were loan-to-purchase agreements for which Fiorentina even threatened reporting Chelsea to FIFA when Salah reneged on joining Fiorentina. |
nihilistjnr:Again, you have made argument for the 2nd time today with poor memory of historical fact. Salah was sent on loan with option-to-buy during Jose's tenure. So he was effectively sold during Jose tenure, after Jose made that statement giving them go ahead to do so. |
BlueAngel444:As someone who recommended Felipe Anderson as a left back for Chelsea, I doubt you would know whether Emenalo was doing a good job or not. You are best off sitting on the sideline hailing him out of patriotism as your fellow countryman, than put your mouth into what you are not qualified to give opinion on. |
nihilistjnr:So we should trust the word of a liar during a press conference he set up to deliberately mislead, when all evidence shows Chelsea were scouting Salah before him, he had no time for Salah, and couldn't wait to get rid of him, plus we have sources telling us it was an Emenalo signing. I think we can easily draw conclusion on the matter Sir! |
gensteejay:Drop me your email. I don't know my Nairaland email |
nihilistjnr:I see his future elsewhere, either on loan or sold. This simply means, I have no need for him, you guys can go ahead and get rid of him. Contrast with his later attempt to cover his årse "I love the boy very much" . . . ."I fought for him" The facts are these. Chelsea had been scouting Salah before Jose became manager, Chelsea signed him, Jose ignored him and did not plan in any game time for him. . . then couldn't wait to get rid of him after a few months. Not all these I fought for him story of a drowning man trying to cover his ãrse. |
nihilistjnr:Ahn, ahn, that was trashed out severally and Jose mocked severely on this thread for it. One should have good memory to be able to keep track of Chelsea transfers and how they came about. Jose interview with SkySports in 2015. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jose-mourinho-rewriting-history-over-14583350 He did, however, confirm one player was surplus to requirements. Mo Salah. “I see his future elsewhere,” Mourinho added. “Either on loan or sold with an offer we are happy to accept. "We have five wingers and it is better not to have Salah back.” |
nihilistjnr:No need for unnamed sources. I was following Chelsea before Jose and saw links to Salah. Jose was caught lying in that statement. Jose: "I bought Salah but I didn't sell him." . . until his comments in 2015 asking Chelsea to sell Salah were exposed. Emenalo meanwhile is doing the same thing he did at Chelsea, failing to establish consistency despite having good attacking players because he did not recognize the needs of his midfield, and once again failed to build a balance squad. That man incompetence no be here. Taking players like Golovin and Jovetic toward relegation in a farmers league. I have right to hate someone who caused me so much frustration for so many years, and who squandered so much opportunity by failing to recognise some football basics. Monaco fans must be feeling the same way. |
nihilistjnr:Jose that was caught lying that he didn't sell Salah only to be exposed by his own words. Chelsea were following Salah since 2012 season, before Jose was manager, when both we and Spurs faced them in Europa. Emenalo brought him to Jose in January 2014 when Mata was leaving, Jose said yes that's all. Jose was just trying to cover his ãrse after Salah became a star by claiming he bought him but he did not sell him, and was later caught by his own words. I do my research well to pinpoint the influence behind a signing, and there is 90% chance of it being correct. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/liverpool-news-mohamed-salah-goals-highlights-chelsea-making-of-latest-a8072991.html First of all, those close to Chelsea’s hierarchy say there has always been something of a myth about the initial Salah signing from Basel in 2014. They maintain he was not just purchased because his availability coincided with Jose Mourinho’s need for a substitute forward and the opportunity to irritate Liverpool, but that he was actually an entirely logical Michael Emenalo signing. At a mere 21 years of age at the time, Salah was just another young talent signed as part of the longer-term plan to buy the next generation of stars before they became stars - and thereby save a lot of money. The only Emenalo myth being shattered is some people's belief he was anything but incompetent, as evidenced by taking Monaco into relegation zone from UCL places. |
Elnino4ladies:Can't believe Babayaro made the 11. There have not been many decent African left backs so he's in contention but Benoit Assou-Ekoto easily takes his spot. |
groundnutoil:He's a top goalie. Top10. He should rank with Brad Friedel and Lehmann in the 2nd tier. First tier is Schmeichel, Cech, De Gea and VDS |
groundnutoil:You know say Benitez na Champion bus parker. Even Newcastle goalies Clean sheet ratios are decent. |
The pant stole his destiny |
IKON360:Yes, but it was also extra-time, Utd had played majority of the game with 10 men and Schmeichel had saved a penalty. That just added to the drama of the game |
IKON360:Ryan Giggs vs Arsenal in FA Cup semi in 1999 |
Buying lingerie for Bae has become risky business in Naija. One could get lynched if caught with a romantic purchase. |
drisham:In the short term, it's a good deal for us, as long as we don't take up option to buy. |
Griffon:Then you have not seen Reece James on loan at Wigan. That guy is a boss. Even Ola Aina is ahead of Tomori. Ola done turn to superstar for Torino somehow. Welcome back Sir. |
Looter, shut up! |
raumdeuter:Please when did Boateng become old. Someone who just turned 30, you've been using old age excuse for him since he was 28, meanwhile he is age mate with Aldeweireld and co who are still looking like spring chicken. Centrebacks play comfortably at peak till 32 please. They get enough recovery time between actions, that's why CBs often retire later than other positions. The same Apari that was watching Chelsea matches like a hawk, looking for opportunities to criticise a 36 year old John Terry. Hian!

raptex:No Sir, I was supposed to have retired before I joined Nairaland but some people here dragged me in. |
