me dy think of carrying 3k-4k cash o. at least 500euros per month. 500 x 6 na 3k be that minus say person wan buy winter cloth o. at least before 6months end, guy man go don find way find small work dy hustle am get lil cash. i no sure if gtb naira master card go still dy work up there cos cbn dy talk some shits these days. make sirkezman and iceberg cme help out.

Thats a nice plan. I'm not sure the job situation is palatable in those places. So its better to be secured for some time so u can focus on studies.

Depending on house rent, u might not even spend up to 500 per month. Except if u dey club sha o.

Please bring euros. The charges on master card is much. And exchange rate ish too. I havent used mine in almost 2 yrs though. And i dont understand the jargons cbn is saying these days. You can open an account and deposit the euros when u arrive.

Cheers.

tanx 4 ur swift response boss, btween those periods I withraw 600k frm my account which I did some smal biz wit den after getin my cash bk I deposited 200k, 200k, 220k, 60k, 15k respectively...my salary na jus 110k...awaitin ur response boss..

Ok, In addition to what Olabode89 advised, mention that u do small business by the side. And thats where those deposits came from. Also refer to the 600k withdrawal as the 'capital' (state the withdrawal date so they can locate it on ur bank statement), so they can see that a bulk of the money originated from you. They just wanna be sure of the origin of funds. So make a good explanation as regards those deposits.

All the best sir.

To sirkezman n iceberg, please share ur opinions. My HOAS tenancy starts Sept 1. My flight to Helsinki is on Aug 16. Now I dunno the cheapest way to survive for 16 days before I move into d hoas apartment. I already booked sha, one hostel like that. Over 400 euros for the 15 days which is too expensive. When my hoas rent na 233 euros monthly. My question is: can u suggest what to do in order to cut costs on my pre-hoas 15 day stay in Helsinki? I'll appreciate it a lot. As I never commot for Naija before, I no wan spend unnecessarily and end up stranded in 6 months. Please reply.

To the others, congrats on the success stories. To those still expecting, I don't think they're going to deny anyone again. Migri head correct dis year. So, y'all shouldn't worry too much. As for me, I never buy anything and I'm to travel in a month. Everything looks expensive in finland. As I dey compare my hard-earned naira to euros and the prices of things, I just dey vex. Abeg, for those wey don dey prepare, make una write list of things wey una don buy/hear say we go need. Can't just wrap my head around necessary/unnecessary things. Gonna be my first time travelling, no experience.

Back to Kezman and Iceberg... Abeg help us with the checklist of things to buy/bring again. Durex 100 dozens follow? I go bring 30 litres of better agbo jedi for una. Better one wey go turn ur spinal cord to iron. cheesy if u're interested sha.

Kittos.

PS: I don dey learn finnish o. I know about 100 words already. Can count to 100. Greet, etc. Annoying language. Na me and dem sha.

That's the update for now.

400 euros too much. Do u have student tutors?....U can speak to them. Then Aalto usually links people up with a country man in the dept. Dont know if UH does that. Or maybe there is none. Try get somebody in helsinki that u can stay with. I can help check a site where students travelling sublet their apartments. Thats much cheaper. Though not always availabke. Will get back to u if i find any.

@learning finnish, When u will reach, u will be shocked...lol

Cheers!

I have uploaded my employment letter initially(during the application period)... Do I need to upload again? *confused.

Your employer should write a letter, addressed to Migri
- That u are an employee of the company, stating ur monthly salary, and stating that they pay by cash and dont issue payslips.

Then also draft a statement explaining the whole paroles. State when they stopped issuing payslips, and if possible, upload the ones that were issued in 2012.

How do u guys respond to these requests, do u reply the mails or upload required documents in the online system?....If its the earlier, then u can attach ur employment letter once again.

All the best sir!

I don't think so. I got a guy who wrote september 1st and he alread got his. he went for interview on may 19th. Got decision on 1st week of June, got his card last week.

Well...they still do. Its a known fact. Doesn't mean people with latter departure dates cant get their decision early too. May was quite early. In the event of backlog of applications, decisions are made quicker on applications with early departure dates.

I had my interview about about three weeks ago and my online status was ''waiting for processing" until next about two days ago when it changed to "In progress"; till now I'm yet to get any notification or response from them. I am becoming quite excited, but I remain confident of a positive response because I submitted verifiable genuine documents. We are getting there by God's grace. grin
I'm theorizing that they consider applicant's planned departure date in their spate of processing applications.

Sure....they do!

Thanks for the link....

the student first completes the Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration degree at the Mikkeli Campus and
after graduating from Mikkeli, the student has an automatic study right to continue their studies in one of the Master’s Programs at the Helsinki Campus.

@aril the bolded was copied from the link provided by jub009... The BSc program will take about 3 years to complete and upon completion there is an automatic study right to continue studies for MSc. which will take another 2 years to complete. I think it must have been an oversight on ur path when u stated that the Bsc and Msc programs could be completed in 3 years. All the best in your studies.

Kiitos!!!!

Yeah...I was a bit surprised too @ the 3 years for both Bsc and masters. In fact, its not easy to finish masters in 2 years. The Fastest students usually finish in 2 years and some months. Many finish in 3. I heard Aalto gives a prize of 1k euros to anyone that finishes in 2 yrs.
Sometimes its because many people have to work while studying and some also look for masters thesis place for months. And the Finns who are not under any work pressure also take their time well.

Cheers boss!

Good morning everyone. My interview was yesterday. These finland people no get sense. A monologue doesn't give the applicant any fair chance to explain and clarify most things. First Bleep up, they questioned and withheld my insurance certificate and said they want to investigate it for fraud/fake doc. Secondly, they asked to explain the nature, reason and purpose of/for any large funds to or from the account. The term "Large funds" is crazy without any explanation of the scope. The biggest inflow was 320k, didn't know the point at which an amount is classed as "large". In addition, they expected me to state the name/job/monthly income of ALL the family members who deposited money in my account. I explained to the guy he said I HAD to write at the back everyone's job, etc. Rubbish. In the event that they're not satisfied with the explanation, it's a monologue... no second chance for an applicant to explain whatever the confusion is. Idiots!

For those who are yet to go for the interview/apply for the residence permit. Your best chance is to get just 1 person and identify that person as the sponsor. Know and provide as much information about that person. Where he works, how much he earns, and also his bank statement which should be healthy. Or u identify urself as d sponsor and provide similar information. U need to see the stupid questionnaire sef and u would realize they only expect a fixed pattern! U either sponsor urself or have one sponsor. Mad people.

Out of about 8 people who made the depositsn, I only talked about 5 and stated that I didn't know anyone's monthly income for certain since that's classified information in this part of the world. I also explained that I wasn't really sure of the exact place of work of some of dem but was sure of their jobs (engineer, manager, etc). I made dem know I didn't know the bench mark for "large funds" so I only talked about the biggest deposit of 300k. Toh shikenan!

I'm going back to Lagos today. Finally got this interview madness off my agenda. The stupid prejudiced way of reasoning by this crazy Migri.

Hmmm....I was a bit skeptical about depositing in the names of family members in the first place. That why i always say its better that any deposits should either be made by you or by your sponsor. They would expect u to provide the same sets of documents for every 'depositor of large amounts' like u did for your main sponsor. Which is very annoying. If those depositors bear your surname, then it would be easier to explain. That ur siblings all contributed but u still have a main sponsor.

Dont worry, hopefully ur case officer would reason along that line too.

All the best sir. Cheers!

Thank you for your comment again.. I am still waiting to read from other bosses here before I decide by tomorrow.

Well i would advice that there should be consistency in the names.....To them, both names are entirely different.

Bachelor’s Programme in International Business (BScBA) requires you to have a very good SAT score and the program is in English. No entrance examination is required. All they required is just a good SAT score.
