Preparation things to begin in ernest... Wishing all hopefuls positive responses too... Cheers!
Yeah, Aalto is really very competitive and its difficult to get in. But Automation in TUT is really huge. I was at a conference recently and there were many guys from there. Congrats boss!

@ooluseyipa........It depends on how long you have been working. And its not even compulsory that your combined salary must add up to 1.5m. You can make some deposits to complete it and mention that you do other informal businesses by the side and you get some cash from there as well. Only that its nicer if you salary constitutes the majority.

@billydragon....with such a long employment period and supporting documents, you are good to go.

@iceberg54 does it make sense for me to pay about 1.2M directly into my account using a cheque issued to me from my company's cooperative?
I plan to include my payslips showing d deductions from my monthly pay to d cooperative, a copy of d cheque and also my employment letter.
Well...i think that should be fine.

Thanks once again iceberg. There is already a salary account with like 200k monthly for d past 7months for that purpose.
You are good to go then. Your application should be flawless. But i guess you should hope to be granted admission first. In my opinion, thats the most difficult hurdle.

Cheers sir!

Thanks @ iceberg, but must one have a sponsor despite having d 1.6m in ur own account ?
If yes, hope it doesn't matter if d sponsor doesn't share dsame name with me ?
Whether u are using a sponsor or not, the money must be in your own account.

So the next step is what is the source of the money. If you have a job with a salary that can add up to that (with evidence of payslips), then u don't require a sponsor.

Otherwise, u obviously require one, who in turn also provides his/her own statement of account and source of his/her income and some other annoying stuffs.

There is no rule that the sponsor must bear your surname, however, from experience, its better. It reduces the stress of trying to prove the authenticity of the sponsor's willingness. But several people also got positive feedback even without that. Just frame the person as your uncle/aunt who has always been responsible for your education. (cos they will ask sponsor to right letter to them stating the reason why he/she wants to sponsor u)

All the best. Cheers!

Hello guys, about bulk lodgement, if i have 800k in my account and now pay another 50k in daily for 16days to make it 1.6m using diff names.
Pls does dis fall under bulk lodgement ? And if no, is it a wise thing to do ?
But dont pay 50k daily for 16 days using different names. Most (if not all) of ur deposits should be in ur name or your sponsor's. Makes life easier.

Our people can like mediocrity. MMA is the poorest airport ever. Going through other countries airports puts it all into proper perspective.

One of the most beautiful airports I have passed through is Madrid's Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport. Wow, architectural masterpiece. That airport is only second to Heathrow in my experience. Next is Charles de Gaulle, Roissy, Paris. Even our tiny Dyce here is better organised than MMA, tueh!

When it is not as if the money no dey.
Oga u are right. That Madrid barajas na die o. And the airport big!!!

ok. if the transcript got there before the deadline. they will contact you. dont worry
Actually, UAF will end up forwarding some applications to the school without processing the transcripts.

However, I don't know the effect this would have on the decision of the school regarding admission.

Struggle to get 3m. Really? Do u know what it takes to make 500k in this country not to talk of 3m? Lol... u should suggest how to "struggle" to get 3m naira in 5 months. Like say na so naija make sense. Nah, I'm not an engineer, got a humanities degree. But seriously, that STRUGGLE TO MAKE THE 3M part fear me. Make we relate as to how to make such sir, I'll be grateful to u cheesy

You're right about having to send money to Norway but 8m? Lol... that's enough to become a Landlord here, own a car and start a lowkey life here in Naija. It's actually about 2.5 - 3m that's required to be sent to Norway. The Norwegian Master's application period closed on d 1st of December 2014. I have 4 applications but I'm not even looking forward to the results co the 3m is a whole lot of money.
If u r an engineer, you could struggle to get the 3m. It will pay you in the long run. Most Nigerian engineering graduates get jobs more easily there than Finland. Their oil sector is very huge. So discrimination is minimal and languare requirements are not too tough. Since most of those companies are multinationals. The money also discouraged me. Would have opted for Stavanger or NTNU. All the best sir.

Cheers!!

Hallos bro,
Firstly you have a very good first degree and then doing an excellent course for Msc, you could also proceed for your automation course as it gives you more insight into process controls and also adds to your bag which definitely will be an open door for a better job for you. The prospects of process automation/control cannot be over-emphasized as it is largely sourced for in several industries such as O&G, Automobiles, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing and other process industries like beverages and cementing.
From what you have done so far, and still planning...you do not need to waste your time on nebosh now, except if you plan to divert into safety anyway or just want an added certificate. But I advice you put more effort to get the course on process automation/control and also you should ask for some time on internship.
Boss....thanks so much for your time. Very helpful insight. I will focus on the control/automation course then. God bless you sir.
