Vampire Diaries is very unpredictable, which is why I like it. Elena is not hot. She's just there. As for True Blood, it's a great series but not similar to Vampire Diaries. I prefer VD. |
Despite what all the haters said, despite all the death threats. Sani Kaita has triumphed over adversity. Nigeria is out of the World cup and Kaita stands proud. The Legend, The Man. Up Kaita! Vote Sani Kaita in the 2011 elections! |
This is all part of being a controversial musician. By shocking people, you get them to discuss your music and remain in the neews longer. Just look at what controversy did for Eminem and Pink. Eminem always bashes celebrities on his first singles and it always gets the public's attention (though for the first time he didn't in "Not afraid" . Just look at his attack on Mariah Carey recently in "The Warning".Lady Gaga is a similar artiste in that respect, but her own brand of controversy centres on shock imagery. I wonder if she's even really a hermaphrodite and that wasn't also a publicity ploy? |
Lady Gaga has used controversy to sell her music kind of like Eminem and Pink, She is a screaming success and will continue to be successful as long as she keeps shocking people. |
Genuflect you're finally online! Nice one, where you find internet? Anyway, this "Recovery"album is better than "Relapse" |
@hax The opinion you read was not that of Genuflect, he was signed on to the laptop I was using and I accidentally posted my opinion using his account. |
I've listened to all three albums and obviously Eminem's Recovery is the best. In my opinion, this album is better than Relapse and as strange as the beats are and the people he featured (Rihanna? I still can't believe he featured her), the album is still gonna be a classic. Recovery will win best Rap Album at the Grammies. As for Drake, the album "Thank Me Later" is just there. Nothing special. 'Nuff said. B.o.B's "The Adventures of Bobby Ray" is a great album. B.o.B style is unique and I love the fresh and new approach to Hip - Hop. I'm tired of all the gangsta rap and women bashing, alcohol and drug praising stuff we have these days. If you listened to the first single from the album "Nothin on You"then you'd know in advance what to expect from the album. B.o.B never claimed to be a hardcore rapper. Besides, he is a good rapper. I've love the classic rock, pop, jazzy feel to the album. It's unfair to compare Eminem to B.o.B or Drake so I'm just gonna compare Drake and B.o.B only. Lyrically, B.o.B is slightly weaker than Drake. Drake has a lot of swagger and it's comes through in his songs. However, this is not enough to sell an album. As for beats, B.o.B outshines Drake. Drake just sounds the same as he did on his mixtape. As for people featured, B.o.B won the battle with appearances from Eminem, Rivers Coumo (of Weezer)and Hailey williams (of Paramore). Don't get me wrong, I love Drake, i prefer him to Lil' Wayne and strongly believe that he and Tyga and Young Money's true hope, not Nikki Minaj (despite her hotness) and the rest). As for individual songs, I feel Drake's "Over" is good as well as "Miss Me" feat. Lil Wayne. B.o.B's "Ghost in the Machine", Äirplanes pt. 2"feat. Eminem and Hailey Williams, "Magic" feat. Rivers Coumo, "The Kids"and "Nothin on You"are all great songs. |
This thread is still alive?! That's amazing. I started this thread two years ago and was amazed to see that it still continued to this day. I didn't realize there were so many Isoko people on Nairaland. I'm glad. I hope more people will post what they know about our culture and language. Let's keep the community alive. Thanks. |
Strangely enough, I have not heard the mixtape considering the fact that Razor(Genuflect) is one of my close friends. I keep asking him for his music but he seems shy and doesn't want us (here in school) to listen to it. Hmmmm , |
@Razor You do realize just because they like you on Nairaland doesn't mean much? I'm being realistic for you before your head over swells. A good example is Modenine, there is a strong Modenine fanbase on Nairaland but the guy no dey sell albums. My point is that you need to be down to Earth and UNIQUE. The key word is unique. The biggest rappers are all unique. In America: Eminem, Jay-Z, Nas etc. In Nigeria: MI, Modenine, Da Grin, Sauce Kid etc Just saying , |
This thread still exists? |
How can you even compare Halo to District 9? |
chelsea!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Today's match against Chelsea should justify leaving Arsenal! |
I need help with Witcher! |
I agree Kosovo. Eventually we're all gonna start buying 3D tvs, so this is just a way of getting in on the 3D market. In Nigeria, the way the HD tv market grew was phenomenal, so I don't see why 3D tvs won't catch on. Trust all those big men and women to buy 3D tvs just to show off. |
I disagree to agree with the original disagreement and yet agree to disagree with the current agreement. By the way, humans can kill goats with their minds! |

This thread still lives? And it seems to now be used as a way to ensnare vesc in something interesting! |
aye_po_gan:The interesting thing is that I'm pretty sure sure when David Oyedapo's church is reporting this incident they will ignore the fact that she is a traditional ruler and not, in fact the head of a religious cult! This is the sort of BS lies we're subjected too in this school , https://www.imperialafrica.net/db4/00304/imperialafrica.net/_uimages/2008-Nuri-Al-Masmari-54.jpg https://www.imperialafrica.net/db4/00304/imperialafrica.net/_uimages/DSC04777-2.jpg https://www.imperialafrica.net/db4/00304/imperialafrica.net/_uimages/DSC04593-2-1.jpg P.S:- On a side note, she is stunningly beautiful! |

@poster LWKMD! You just want to create beef between Mode9 and Ghetto P , |
I don't think this song is directed at anyone specifically, however there's a rhyme that sounds suspiciously like it might have been directed at Mode9's "Badman" track Hate on my style, hate on my flows, hate on my vocal chords Just setting a BADMAN loose like they're open doors. Hmmm, this could be a subliminal since mode9 did say you're just a generic version of lil' wayne on his "badman" track and M.I was referring to his vocal chords in his own rhyme! Sha, i'm just saying , |
