What they wrote in that Wikipaedia entry is wrong. The language is Wollof not Jollof. So I guess, my guess, was right after all.

I have no idea what it means but I'm gonna make an (un)informed guess and say it originated from the Wollof language which is spoken in the Gambia. I remember eating Jollof when I was there like 10 years ago.

Unfortunately, the Nigerian midfield is not the same as Everton's midfield and that is not Yakubu's fault. He normally hangs around upfront waiting for a killer pass from maybe Arteta before slotting in a goal. No such passing is available in Nigeria and this is because we don't have any central midfielders anymore. Olofinjana, Mikel, Ayila Yusuf are all defensive midfielders!

What nonsense are you guys talking about? Saying Nigeria can't beat some European teams like Latvia? That's very funny to me. Do you honestly believe if the likes of Mourinho, Scolari, Arigones, Hiddink, et al were the Manager of Nigeria we couldn't beat any country? Please!! I don't have anything against Amodu but football is not a game of individuals anymore. It doesn't matter if you have the best players (Portugal, couldn't win Euro 2008 despite having Ronaldo!) in the world what matters is the tactics you employ. After all, in the just concluded Euro 2008, how many big names can you point at in the German team? Apart from Ballack and Lehman (the hopeless goalkeeper!) and maybe Podolski? Just look at Turkey! Nigeria has more well known players than Turkey. Tactics is very important. With good tactics and proper team selection Nigeria can thrash anyone. Just look at our upcoming players, Lukman Haruna, Victor Anichebe, Macaulay Chrisantus, Rabiu Ibrahim (the next Jay Jay Okocha!), King Osanga, Mikel, Taiwo and the Uche brothers.

The problem here is everyone has forgotten the original reason for this thread! The question was who was more beautiful between Isabel and Valeria! Not the maid or Angela. I agree the maid is the finest but Isabel overshadows all of this due to being sexy. Women will always say Valeria or Angela is more beautiful but as a guy, no be only face we want, we also want the rest of the "package". No real Man or Boy would chose anyone other than Isabel! Unless, they ain't straight!

As far as Communication Engineering goes, the reason there are so few women, if any at all, is that the women themselves don't actually want to work! What I mean is, it's very rare to see a woman who is ready to go from site to site doing various projects. They'd rather sit in some office than go to the field. This presents a serious problem as most Communication (Network) Engineers do a lot of fieldwork. So if you're going to stray into Telecoms be ready to work.

I've been reading through all the posts and I'm surprised no one is mentioning Communication Engineering? It is taught in several Universities in Nigeria under various guises so you have to do some searching to make sure u're doing it. For example, in Covenant University, it's called ICT (Information and Communication Technology). My point is, the Telcommunication market is really huge in Nigeria. Foreign companies are beginning to realise what a gold mine Nigeria is and are all rushing down here. MTN makes almost 30% of it's total profit from Nigeria alone despite being in many countries in Africa and the middle East. Already, Nigeria has many Telecomms companys whom are forced to hire foreign professionals because many Nigerians ain't qualified enough. Huawei, ZTE, D-link and Linksys (which are all Telecom Harware companies) have Nigerian offices in which they're hiring engineers. In fact, D-link plans to open a manufacturing plant later on. We have all the CDMA networks like Starcomms, Visafone, Multilinks and Reltel. And of course, the GSM networks which are MTN, Glo and Celtel. There is going to be a fourth GSM operator, Etisalat, and they are already hiring people. So I'm shocked you guys are ignoring Telecoms!

I've never tried playing over the internet but I've been playing LAN games since CM 03/04. It's not hard to setup a LAN game. All you have to do is just go to preferences in the game and click on the network and then on the server button.
