“We are still having problems with age restrictions.

“That has caused us to keep changing the team. A lot of players have age discrepancies.
“When you try to reconcile their age with what is on the passport, there is no uniformity in data.

“We have to look at players that came through the ranks to see how to put a team together.
“By the time the whole players from abroad arrive, we will have a clearer picture of our squad and, in the end, we should be able to put together a solid team.”

-Imama
They need to get that passport issue sorted out as quickly as possible. The Success of this team during qualfiers lies mostly on the home based players as most of the foreign based players will not be available for the CAF U23 tournament later in the year due to the timing of the competition.

They need to invite more home based players and sieve out the ones without age discrepancies and move on with them.

Thumbs up bro!

Infact you got me there. I have a son and a daughter hence it was easy for me to understand that I was in a very good position to intervene. I hope he sees and reads my advice. I am so proud of him, especially because our society is fast replacing that knack for undiluted academic excellence with plain mediocrity. I know how much I motivate and encourage my kids. Up till now, as an engineer and entrepreneur, I give everything to stay at the very top.

Every father would be proud of that young man. We must keep encouraging young men like him as nothing can take the place of academic excellence in any society. Academic excellence provides the backbone for exciting innovative ideas, breakthrough research outcomes and empowering global businesses.

You are right, mainstream oil and gas companies as well as topnotch global institutions, are actually the natural habitat of first class graduates. I worked in that sector for about a decade and I know this for a fact.
You are right bro. You have said it all.

I also know how I personally advise and push my son to be competitive. Competition is always that driving force towards excellence.

To the Glory of God that type of Spirit pushed some of us to where we are today

After becoming the best graduating then what next? Bro out here in the real world it's a different ball game, place less emphasis on that best graduating rubbish and start concentrating your efforts on real world application of your accounting discipline.

How many people have you networked with in your dream career path? How many accounting societies or conferences have you partook in? How many certifications have you acquired or are you planning to write? Those are the things you should focus your energy on, go out and know people, otherwise you may end up feeling betrayed with your first class, God forbid that tho.
It is one step at a time bro. He cannot be focusing on "the real world" when he is supposed to be focusing on his studies. Striving to always be the best in school often translates to striving to always be the best in "the real world".

Thanks for the good and bad comments. The said guy is my friend and am not jealous of him, i just want to know how it feels to be leading your department. I know having a high gp doesn't mean anything and does not guarantee you a job after graduation but that doesn't mean i should not read to pass my exams. Am already thinking of life after school.
And please am a small boy(would turn 19 by july), some of your words are too harsh but thanks for your comments anyways.
Son, I like ur competitive spirit and would really be proud of you if you are my biological son.

Don't let anyone deceive you that a good result doesn't mean anything. It means a lot! That is the major essence of you studying hard in school. A good or excellent result is a major first step in life!

Don't worry about the rumors of first class graduates roaming about the streets because there are also a large number who are very successful in life.

I love your spirit. Stay competitive and always strive to be the best in EVERYTHING and at EVERY LEVEL you find yourself. That is how Succesful people are made.

What is this epistle for?

Encourage the young chap if you can or save him the stress of this 'nothing' you posted.

He wants to be the best and I don't see anything wrong with that aspiration. What is it with the 'first class roaming the streets and persons with pass working in oil firms'? Make people no get first class again?

Life is in stages. Let him come out best first and the next stages will come naturally.

The simple but hard thing he could do is, work harder; investigate the courses his rival has leverage in. He must better his rival in those courses and advance his lead in the courses that he is ahead.

Like the popular french proverb: Impossible is not a citizen of France.
Thank you very much.

As for me, I am still yet to see that 3rd Class fellow that is in an Oil Company (not talking about mushroom oil companies). But I have met countless 1st class graduates in the Oil industry.

The Op at this stage in his life needs that competitive spirit. If he is my Son I will be so very proud of him

No matter how hard you try in life bro...if it's not destined to be so it won't be so...Dangote is not the smartest but he is favored...Dangote has competitors but it did not change that he is the richest black man.
Good u acknowledge he has competitors.

Every Succesful business man will do all he can to outsmart his competitors. That is the competition we are talking about . And u don't have to be the smartest man to own the most prosperous business. All u need is the smartest system in place.

You cannot just leave Success to chance. You have to always strive to be among the best. That is what makes people Succesful. Even the Bible says seeth a man delligent in his work he shall stand before Kings and not mean men. That right competitive spirit is that tonic you need to keep u delligent.

Congrats! It's not C.G.P.A yet, it's G.P. By the way, which school?
Oga there is a great difference between CGPA and GP. I recon what he is referring to is CGPA which is the Cumulative Grade Point Average. GP is just Grade Point like 1 point for E, 2 points for D, 3 points for C, 4 points for B and 5 points for A.

The CGPA is a cumulative calculation that factors in number of units per course and grade point. It is the cumulative across all the semesters he has gone through.

This would be my line up against Seychelles.
4-2-3-1:
Gk: Ezenwa

DF: Awaziem

DF: Ozornwafor

RB: Shehu

LB: Aina

DM: Ajayi

CM: Ogu (interesting experiment).

AM: Etebo

RMF: S. Moses

LWF: Onyekuru

CF: Osimhen.

A good blend of proven quality and experimentation.
I would rather we continue to build on 3CB back line. Rohr should play out a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3. We have qualfied already. Nothing to be afraid of and we are playing Seychelles that we can even beat with our Flying Eagles team.

I would like to see Musa pair up with Osimhen upfront. Samuel Kalu has to start for us to see how well Osimhen can utilize his crosses.
I would rather we stick to our Balogun-Ekong-Omeruo back line for them to continue to build synergy.
Aina and Jamilu should play as Wing backs.

My set up: 3-4-3

... Musa.....Osimhen....Kalu

Jamilu.........Iwobi................Aina
.....................Ndidi

......Balogun...Ekong...Omeruo

You see komekn you are very crafty

Iheanacho steal the show at the u17 World Cup we all know that

How did success earn a move to Granada ? Me I don't know

Now let me tell you about success ,success was grenada player of the season during his last season there and watford have to break the bank to make a record transfer to sign him ,so you can see success is a good player and a special talent maybe that's why he was given work permit and the transfer fee involved

So why are you trying to pretend you don't know success was good in laliga and he is one of the best young stars there ? Oh I remember you once called him a waste man

Smh for you
That aside, Success was the highest goal scorer at the CAF U17 tournament. He got injured in the first half of his second game at the FIFA U17 WC where he had already scored 2goals. Let Komekn go take a look at the goal he scored against Sweden before he got injured. Success was on course to shinning at that WC.
But it seems Awoniyi's parents are prayer Warriors grin
