tbaba1234: List out.
Like i said, Onuachu is on the list. Iheanacho dropped Onuachu replaces Iheanacho. Valentine Ozornwafor replaces Brian Idowu. Meaning 5 CBs out of 8 Defenders. Well, Omeruo and Balogun can play as make-shift Full backs if the need arises. Mikel missing. Why Rohr? |

BascoVanVeli: You are going in circles. I said the U20 teams lately had players break into the SF and you asked if they were starters. That means that the bar you have set for all players coming up from that level is immediate starter or bust. These are not my words they are yours Oga you are the one going in circles. The quality of the Super Falcons has continued to diminish. The more recent U20 graduates not being as good as the earlier U20s is not helping matters. These are straight facts. If you believe the only problem the SF team has is the coaching. I leave you with that belief. |

BascoVanVeli: So is that not what the super falcons coach is doing right now? The last coach did the same thing so the question is why don't you think your philosophy should apply to the women team? Why do you want to rush them into the super falcons? Oga most of them are not there yet but they will get them.
Speaking of diversionary tactics, how did we end up talking about U20 when my comment was about the super falcons? Where did I say the coach should rush them into the Super Falcons starting 11? I simply opined they are not as good as their U20 predecessors. No let me accuse u of false Accusations like u always do o. We were discussing female Football, why introduce SE into it? |

BascoVanVeli: So Anam Imo did not just scored the winning goal for us in our last match? Ajibade already has an hattrick for the SF. Ihezou and Glory Ogbonna featured in the last AWCON. Is it till they become captains that u know they are there? And btw since when did u want players walking straight into the national team from U20? When it comes to men's football we know u as uncle 'he isn't there yet', so why completely run away from ur philosophy and demand that all our girl must be ready to play in the main team as children? Shouldn't they be allowed to grow and improve?
Oshoala, Ordega, Okobi and Oparanozie are generational talents and that is why they can walk into any team past or present just like they walked into the main team from U20s.
Add the twin towers Ebi and Ohale to that and also Ujo Alvez Njoku. Haha Diversionary tactics. The current Falcons cannot be compared with the Great Falcons of the late 90s to 2000s. Fact! BTW, the senior national team is for Proven Senior team players at club level. Rohr knows this philosophy and has continued to maintain it. |

BascoVanVeli: Can they start themselves? Do u expect Oshoala and co to just roll over and give up their spots to them? Even in men's football how many players walk straight in the national team XI right after U20? Your rules in football shouldn't change just because there are women involved. Right now Oshoala and Ayinde are the only members of their set up in the national team but there were so many top players on there. Oshoala, Ordega, Okobi and Oparanozie walked into that team from the U20s. The young players coming from behind are not measuring up. If u don't see any problem in that fine. |

BascoVanVeli: We already have no less than four players from those sets so there goes your argument.
Ihezuo, Anam, Ajibade and Glory all featured at the last nations cup. We still have Peace Efih who was the best player in the last U20 team not given a chance and don't forget the goalkeeper. Which of them are starters? You cannot compare them to Oshoala's set. That is the point. Our Female Football is on a downward spiral. The NFF needs to act fast. |

BascoVanVeli: So did you expect the girls to finish in the last 4 till death does them part? We were not talking about the future we were talking about the players available to the coach right now. The last 2 Falconets teams 2015 & 2017 have largely been disappointing. Reason why there are little or no inclusion of quality since after Oshoala, Oparanonozie, Ordega and co. This has also affected the quality of the Team. If you believe the team has not dipped in quality and their only problem is the coach, well I leave you with that. But those of us that have seen the game for a much longer time know the difference between then and now in terms of players quality. |

Mickael2: So because Buhari is richer than all of us we should not criticise him? See drop this narrative it is annoying. He is representing Nigeria, that gives us the right to criticise him because if he loses Iheanacho did not lose, Nigeria lost. I don't know him, I don't know what he will become and sometimes I believe he takes it too far with his criticism of Iheanacho like I have already told him at least three times but saying that because he is of the same age with Iheanacho and hasn't achieved much compared to him then he should keep his mouth shut is not fair. There is nothing wrong with criticisms. In fact that is what we do here most. We criticise players for them to get better. I am also one of those that have criticised Iheanacho in times past. But it was mostly for guys to lower the hype and allow the boy develop first before we start shouting his name. But the comments I have read from that guy goes beyond criticism. This lad personally wants Iheanacho to fail. I don't know what point he is trying to prove |

BascoVanVeli: Nigeria made three U20 semifinals with most of these girls so your Where will the talent come from' case doesn't hold water.
Who said I didn't follow them in the 90s and 2000s? I might have been following them like I do now but I sure was following them at least at big competitions The result of those 3 consecutive top 4 finishes is what we have today as the Falcons team. But when u look at players coming behind u will have to ask the question that "where will the upcoming talents come from?" The 2015 and 2017 U20 didn't leave to expectations. Same goes for the U17 teams. That is my point. Well, people that really followed the Falcons of the Old have attested to their quality compared to what we have today. Again, this is not just a coaching problem. The quality of the players has declined. |

BascoVanVeli: Oga the game has changed, teams are improving. Those past teams would have a hard time in the last AWCON if they had the same coach. We didn't qualify for the Olympics but that is what happens when u sack a coach and the players are not happy. Are u forgetting that even Oshoala didn't show up for the qualifiers?
Forget ur 2 team theory. Give me Edwin Okon and Rivers United and they will go to the AWCON and bring back that trophy. Don't go there because our league is jam packed with talented ladies who have not been given a chance by that bum of a coach. Our major problem is that the NFF know nothing about women football and they for the most part leave the team in the worst hands. Chairman, the level of the women game in Nigeria has dropped. It is not just a coaching issue. Look at the last U17 and U20 teams. So woeful. Where will the talents emerge from? Well I can pardon u because u didn't follow the Falcons of the 90s to 2000s. |

I don't subscribe to oga icon4 school of thought that' believes taiwo and oshimen should be in the under23. I believe our indigenous coaches are so lazy in scouting for players....if not rohr we won't have got some of this foreign born players...to play for us.. and now especially in England some of these players are ripe to be lured...into the super eagles... I doubt if ejaria, bashiru, bernerts, onomah, those Chelsea young players on loan except Abraham T. will decline play for Nigeria... especially the Chelsea lads.
we have excellent strikers there.... but our indigenous coaches are busy dragging old men from the npfl into the team. If I was the under 23 coaches...I doubt I will use any npfl players...save for Lazarus and co...I know few years back were really 17 I will manage the NNL...the nationwide league and do extensive screening from all reputable academics nationwide, draft them in and lure some foreign born players abroad...and see how the under 23team will blossom... for now and the future. Playing for the U23 does not mean they cannot play for the SE. Please get that right. The U23 is not a talent hunting grade level. Your U23 team should be for young players who have broken into the Senior team and also those that are at the verge of breaking in. We need all available players that fall within this age grade. Any player that is a senior national team material should have been making waves at age 21-23. If an unknown player breaks in fine but ignoring our established young players is a no no. Osimhen, Awoniyi and Odey should lead our U23 attack if they are available. If any other player breaks in fine. If the players are U23 please invite them. My ideal U23 team should also have Samuel Kalu, Henry Onyekuru, Franscis Uzoho, Chidozie Awaziem and Samuel Chukwueze. We need established players in the team for the team to excel, also giving opportunity for others to ride on to also get noticed. |

Our defence will be facing young strikers in our group games and i just hope they dont use speed to beat them.
The attack is top for me. Ohale came from u20. since then we never hear much aspa younger defenders coming up. The ones you call the Oldies are the back bones of that team. Take them out and that team will crumble. Not as if their are many quality young players coming from the youth teams. Rashidat Ajibade and Anam imoh that were included in the last AWC team what were their impact? Generally the standard of the women game in Nigeria has gone down. |
