Mickael2:
Primarily when you bring in players like Kingsley Michael and even Oshimen(who for me should be going to the U20 not Afcon except Odey is going) you will see that the overall play will improve. Nice work by Aigbogun if you ask me with the resources he has, feed the bear and watch him deliver
Osimhen is already above the age limit. But Chukwueze and Orji Okonkwo are still eligible. Osimhen and Odey are within the U23.

We can cap tie Josh Maja and send him to the WYC just like we we did for Anichebe and Aluko at the 2008 Olympics and 2009 WYC respectively.

We need more attacking options in that team. Nazifi doesn't seem like a goal scoring machine to me. He is not in class of Success, Iheanacho and Awoniyi at this same level.

And we have just paid them back at the very next level cheesy

Congratulations to the boys!

But, rubbish play.

If these are the same guys we're taking to the WYC, then we better get ready to get our asses whooped.
The team is not that bad.

I am not trying to say the team doesn't need improvement but from my experience of the followership of the AYC and WYC the group stage of the AYC is typically tougher than the group stage of the WYC. Take that from me.

By and large I expect the coach to infuse more quality options in the Midfield and attack. That defense looks cool for me. The only player that is a suspect there is the RB, Samuel Zaruma.

I expect a great WYC outing.

This Paul Aigbogun's team plays direct kind of Football. Nigerians are used to their teams stringing passes together which is reason behind complains of lack of team passes. The team obviously has a lot to improve upon. The bumpy pitch is also a set back

Well, any which way is a Way.

Congratulations Nigeria!

At least we have another tournament to look forward to.

So Chief Joebie do we have the permission to discuss players to include in this team now? grin

Let's see what he does against Napoli first. A good showing can boost his cause
He being part of the SE does not mean he can't be part of the Olympics team. Several SE players in the past have played in the Olympics. He may not have done enough to earn a SE invite but I know he is good enough for the U23. My inference is based on what I have seen thus far not what I am yet to see.

Besides, what ever he does against Napoli is just one game. We need to see him repeat good performances.

Senegal comprehensively dominated Ghana so much that Ghana resigned to fate
Senegal will flog Nigeria any day anytime. They are that good but they have a better playing surface
Ghana did not really play well in their first game despite their win against Burkina Faso.

Senegal have a very good side. Recall they beat Nigeria in the final of the WAFU tournament.

I predict we will meet again in the AYC final.

The only positives from the flying eagles game was the colour combinations (Dark green on white shorts with the dark green socks). It made us look Nigerian
We took that combo because we didn't have White shirts in our jersey combo. Our away jersey vwaa that dark green but SA's home jersey also has green shorts

So what happens if we play a team that wears green on green as their home jersey and that team is the home team in the fixture?

Full time
Burundi 3 Niger 3. What a match and great comeback by Burundi
South Africa were playing for a draw yesterday.

I knew Niger would have it tough against Burundi who were better opposition to us than SA that defended for 90 whole minutes.

The group is still open for all 4 teams.
