JohnBullMySon: Sincerely I see no sense in recalling ighalo to the national team. dude has done well, but right now he's not really needed. we have a ton of strikers flooding in now, there needs to be healthy space for competition and not ranks and seniority playing out. if ighalo comes back, he'll love to be there till afcon and world cup and likely may be captain and be invited. So where will you keep onuachu, moffi, Simi, iheanacho, Maja. who are pushing their game up. these guys have even shown more consistence than ighalo lately, nobody can show with any evidence that ighalo will perform more than them currently. so how will things look like by 2022? we should learn to leave out old players who are past their peak, except they are extraordinary. it's a regular practice of the best national teams in the world. Well, I am indifferent about the recall of Ighalo. Rohr and his team worked with him for a number years and so they know what he can offer a team. With Osimhen out of the clash and Rohr is thinking of recalling Ighalo, it simply means he doesn't have confidence in the other striking options. If he feels he needs Ighalo to beat Benin, let him go ahead. My own be say, we no wan hear story after the game. |

TheSuperNerd: I can only remember one who CLEARLY said so. I really don't know where the "some" is jumping out from.
And the reality is that we made our move on the lad but he turned us down eventually for England. I understand the pressure was too much from the English side. If we didn't need him, we wouldn't have made our move on the lad. We wouldn't have had all those clandestine meetings with him, his parents and his agent (who is Nigerian).
I remember dropping updates of Rohr's and the NFF's efforts to lure him in and how I hoped he eventually would choose us and damn the consequences. 'How the more the merrier it would be and how having such a high quality versatile winger will be added bonus to the wing options we have.
So I am interested in knowing who the "Some" are apart from Chriskels. Yes, I know we made moves but there were peeps here who still felt we didn't need him. I can't really point out who and who exactly because you know how arguments flow here. But I remember trying to convince some on the kind of talent inherent in Saka, even when the argument was that he was not any better than the wingers we have in the SE. I remember one or two persons say he would rather he drags for jersey with our LBs. |

12large1: The type of disrespectf yall give to iheanacho isn't appropriate. How come you're mentioning onuachu as a possible replacement for osimehn when iheancho is available? If osimhen isn't available iheanacho will easily slot in after all he has more national team goals than osimehn It seems Rohr rates Onuachu ahead of Iheanacho. But for me, I will take Iheanacho ahead of Onuachu. |

TheSuperNerd: Mehn Dad na wa ooo... na so we see am oo. Osimhen was discharged from the Bergamo hospital shaa and returned to Naples but he will undergo more tests between now and Wednesday and will need few days of rest. Meaning he will miss the UEL tie on Thursday. It's a tough episode he's going through right now coupled with not even yet hitting 100% tip top shape since his return from his 2months+ absence but I'm sure he will come out of it all stronger and reborn.
As for the benin Tie... Onuachu vs Benin. Lol. Well, what choice do we have? We cannot play a debutant naa. Moffi won't start against Benin unless Rohr has suddenly borrowed a braver heart.
It would be either Onuachu or Iheanacho in the event that Osimhen doesn't make it. Time will tell shaa. How I really wish we had qualified after the Sierra Leone double header. We could have just left Osimhen out of this Benin game, for him to fully recover. |

The lad just can't seem to get a break from injury episodes. But I trust he's in good hands and will come out of this new episode stronger. I am also worried for Nigeria because of this Osimhen's injury. Onuachi vs Benin |

Especially after spending days, before my colleagues, defending our Performances against Algeria and Tunisia in those friendlies. I didn't know what to defend again. TheSuperNerd: That's what I'm saying. We had a number 1 already. And that's Uzoho. But now Rohr has changed again by gifting the #1 slot to Okoye without even giving Uzoho the chance to get his shirt back. And it's not Uzoho hasn't been doing well since he returned to club action.
Anyway, Rohr has made his choice. And I just want the best for the team. I strongly think Uzoho edges Okoye overall but I will still throw my support behind Okoye as #1 as he is also a good young goalie with loads of potential. But again, so also is Uzoho. Okoye that did not make even one save against Sierra Leone in Benin-City. Rohr is gradually detailing from his old idealogies. I am just watching him closely in 5D. |

humilitypays: The saddest part of this whole thing is, when these murderous Fulani terrorists attack a state in Southeast, instead of Yorubas to join words and action with the people of Southeast to condemn it and fight it to end, they will be celebrating the attack that Fulani should finish Igbos and ipob. And then when these same Fulani terrorists attack a state in Southwest, Igbos will start to dance awilo, mocking Yorubas that they are cowards while the SouthSouth people sit on the fence smiling and bragging that Fulani herdsmen cannot try this or that in their state and go free.
And then Fulani herdsmen terrorist strike a state in SouthSouth, and you hear the same Niger Delta people crying and calling for help while Yorubas and Igbos watch them excitedly that it's their own turn.
Like play like play, Fulani will gradually use violence and conquer the whole of Southern Nigeria all because southern Nigerians, especially the youths who ought to be smarter than all these foolish tribalism refused to have sense.
Let us continue mocking one another.....until some of you or your loved ones fall victim to their dangerous murder. Southern Nigeria youths make una continue The most sensible comment on that front page. |

Danielnino00: Hello guys. I wouldn't normally have done this, but I suppose that a problem shared is a problem (half) solved, and frankly speaking, this is my last resort.
I'm currently in dire need of financial assistance and would like to table my situation to the house in case anyone would be willing to help out. Overtime,I have regarded this thread as a second home and I enjoy the discussion we have here regularly irrespective of my difference with some members here.. I decided to use my real moniker so as not to come off as a fraudster.
Here's the issue: I graduated from university late in 2019 and was supposed to join the first batch of NYSC in 2020. But around February of last year when my school started clearance, my family took a huge financial hit. My dad is a retired civil servant with some business here and there but with little return at the moment and government haven't paying a damn of his pension for months now. So I entirely missed the clearance and NYSC 2020 batch A. Then the lockdown and things went from bad to worse. It was quite hard for me to secure a job and the one I got was paying peanuts.. Now that ASUU strike is over and schools have reopened,I need to go back to school this week to finish my clearance. The next NYSC batch would be deployed very soon, likely around March and failure to do the clearance would mean I have to wait much further for the next batch. The issue I'm having is that I don't have the means to pay the fee at the moment. NYSC have started collaring Senate list from schools to confirm eligibility to register for the next batch. Please I don't want to risk missing it and having to wait for another few months. I believe the NYSC scheme would afford me some opportunities to get my life back on track. The clearance fee in total is Thirty thousand Naira!. Would really appreciate it if you guys can help me out with any token...
PS: If anyone needs evidence of my studentship status,I would gladly present it...
