Only in your head is that a threat. Honestly if u were a primary school student I would understand having to explain this to u. U are basically grasping at straws.

Where did I say I will start my own awards? Read that post 100 times and then tell me how We now means I
Look, I don't need to start exchanging words with you because if that is your aim, sorry, I have better things to do.

We are here to achieve a purpose. And you cannot derail it.

Iheanacho's only goal this year was against Tunisia, u could have figured that out if u really wanted but I have changed it
Do I even know which of them you called a mistake? Even when you nominated Joe Aribo under the category for 2020 debutants. Is that one too correct or a mistake?

You submitted a list that a lot of your nominees don't fall into those categories. You obviously need to work on your emotions and sentiments.

Why should I apologise for a mistake? Do u apologize for all your mistakes? When u lied that I said I wanted to make my own awards did u apologize? I am the one holding u back but I just saw u tell Andrew to finish his last night. Continue
I am very sorry to say but you lack simple courtesy. For someone that has been on this forum so long, it is so disappointing.

Just simple Nominations like this and you are tearing yourself all over. Too bad.

Obviously I am talking about the structure of the awards. Why must the awards only be for players on the national team? U are stylishly excluding people and that's not cool. If u don't want to acknowledge guys not in Rohr's good book we might as well come up with a separate award for them.
I initially didn't want to go back to this post. But since you have been Hammering on it that I lied against you.

Like I said previously, you can go ahead and organize your separate Awards, nothing stopping you. Nairaland is a free place.

5 other ones were current, why on Earth would I then be so fixated on that goal? It was changed hours ago. Just like I had already made some corrections by the weekend.
You should even be apologetic for all these mix-up. You are the one holding us back now from progressing.

This should be a very simple and seamless process.

This was the last award. We had separate awards for best Super Eagles and Super Falcons players. He has changed everything and now is making like I am asking about something crazy. I counted votes without getting a single notice. I have done so in previous awards so all Icon4s is doing is showing exactly how self centered he is that he won't even try to reason with any form of critique.

RESULTS OF VOTING FOR THE NAIRALAND NIGERIAN FOOTBALL FANS AWARDS 2019

1. Nigerian Player of the Year

2. NPFL player of the Year

3. Most Impactful New Inclusion (2019):

4. Best Ogedengbe Super Eagles Best Goal Keeper of the Year:

5. Stephen Keshi Best Defender of the Year:

6. Samuel Okwaraji Best Midfielder of the Year:

7. Rashidi Yekini Best Attacking player of the Year:

8. Most improved player (2019):

9. Young Player of the Year (U-21):

10. Best Performing dual/multiple Citizenship

11. Super Falcons Player of the Year:

12. Super Eagles Goal of the Year:

13. Best assist of the Year:

14. National Team of the Year:
ALL THESE AWARDS EXCEPT THE NPFL PLAYER OF THE YEAR AND BEST PERFORMING DUAL CITIZENSHIP AWARD WERE STRICTLY FOR NATIONAL TEAM PERFORMANCES.

At the commencement of this year's awards I gave room for all to make inputs on which awards to add, to remove and no one came up with anything. With reasons I had to suggest the removal of 3 awards : The Super Falcons award( No female National team games this year)
The dual citizenship award (it raised controversies last year) and National team of the year (no other team except the SE played any game, so no bases for comparison)

You are the one trying to create unnecessary rift here. Simple Nominations with already established criteria you find it difficult. You want us to bend the rules to accommodate a player. You are the selfish person here.

You still insist on nominating a game (Lesotho) played in 2019 and Player(Aribo) who made his debut in 2019 for Most impactful 2020 inclusion.

Tell me which national team games with which to compare Ndidi and Okpotu with the other players in those categories.

Didnt you read my post. We have no midfielders

Finito
Not that we have no Midfielders, Rohr prioritizes invitation of defenders over midfielders. What do you call an 18 man squad that will have 10 defenders ( 6CBs, 2RBs and 2LBs). Some other teams build their Team around the midfield. We build ours around the defense because even going forward we are lean up-front.

What is Rohr doing with this large number of CBs:
Leon Balogun
William Troost-Ekong
Chidozie Awaziem
Kenneth Omeruo
Semi Ajayi
Kelvin Akpoguma

6! And yet he doesn't know his best pairing option.

And he will still invite Zaidu Sanusi, Collins, Ebuehi and Aina as Full backs.
Yet he will still be playing a CB as RB!

It appears Rohr doesn't have the balls to drop some of these defenders.

We don't need more than 6 defenders, at most 7 to prosecute an AFCON qualifying game. The other spots in the team should be used to invite midfielders and forwards.

Buhari does not appear in live sessions just like that.

You have to give his people like 3 weeks to feed him, give him medications, write his speech and make him learn the pronunciations before they will now shoot and edit his video reading his speech and send to the House of Rep.

Just take it as a misunderstanding. I doubt BascoVanVeli meant any harm.
He is trying to derail this whole process, even threatening to come up with another sets of Awards, of which he is free to do so. If that will make him feel better.

ThesuperNerd, with his busy schedule still managed to send me his nominations. One hand, and we never got to do any back and forth thing because he already understands the objectives of the awards, which is rewarding players for their impacts in the National Teams.

I have even decided to give him the waiver to nominate Anthony Okpotu since he so insisted, so we can move ahead. Yet he is still making up cases.

Also he said the awards are strictly on National team performances. So I don't understand what is wrong. Or is there a criteria you feel was missing?
It has always been strictly based on National team performances since inception. Now because he wants to nominate Anthony Okpotu he wants us to bend the rules. Is that how we will be bending rules to suite everyone's choice of nominations?

There was even an opportunity for additional awards but he didn't suggest any.

Please. Am I missing something?

From the best of my knowledge, award titles are for a calendar year and Oga Icon4s is right to point it out.
I don't just Understand, how can we be discussing 2020 awards and he will be nominating 2019 games. He also nominated Anthony Okpotu and I reminded him the awards are for players that featured in the National team this calendar year and he has been labelling me with all sorts of false accusations.

Trying to complicate this very simple exercise.
Sports › Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Icon4s(op): 8:39am On Dec 01, 2020
Icon4s:
Thanks Andrew but you may have to look through the following numbers again:

1. Ndidi was never part of any SE games this year. The awards are for National Team performances

3. Joe Aribo made his debute in 2019 and not 2020. So he is not eligible for that category this year.

6. Ndidi again, same as in reason in number 1.

10 & 11: Lesotho game was in 2019. We are only considering 2020 games.

So please, go through, with the necessary adjustments, and repost. Thanks.
Andrewbaba44 please make these adjustments to your nominations, so we move on.

These awards have always been for National team performances.
You want us to bend rules because you want a particular player mentioned as a nominee. You are obviously the one being biased here. I have even given you the go ahead to include him since you so insisted, yet you are coming up with baseless accusations.

Chairman, all the award categories, except the NPFL player of the year, have always been for the NATIONAL TEAM PLAYERS for that Calendar year. Go through this thread and look at the 2 previous editions. We cannot bend this now because you want to include Anthony Okpotu on the list, of which I have even given the "go ahead" if you so insist.

Stylishly excluding which player?See, I don't know where this is coming from.

These Awards have always been for players who did us proud in our National colors. And so players are being assessed based on their National team performances. This is a very simple approach to clear off any ambiguity of rating some based on club and others based on National team performances. It also our way to show appreciation to the players for doing our National colors proud.

Please drop your nominations here. Time allocated for this particular milestone is fast running out.
