Shows how much you know. The man saved our brushes more than a few times against Cameroun. FYI - All things being equal, Ezenwa wouldn't be my first choice. But to say that the man hasn't acquainted himself pretty well since he was called upon is BS! O pari isan: He was tested against cameroon away he failed woefully and cost us 2 precious point |

of course, very beatable. First, no other player besides Messi has scored for Argentina in almost a year. Secondly, their defense is pretty poor - old, slow and mistake prone. O pari tbaba1234: Argentina without Messi are very beatable but i do not trust the source. |

So even if we take your word for it that he wasn't tested in any of those 3 games, mind you, how does that justify your assertions that he's not an Egus Material? Is it his fault that he wasn't tested?? Anyway, if he wasn't tested against Cameroun and Zambia, don't worry he would soon get tested. I am confident that he would be tested by the Argies, even without Messi, they still pack a lot of firepower on the attack. O pari isan: Ezenwa wasn't really tested against Cameroon and Zambia and our defence was not under any serious preasureagainst Cameroon in uyo against Zambia we had clean sheet because the Zambia striker lack a killer instinct not because ezenwa make any point blank saves |

I totally agree. Let's bring on the big guns...... O pari Mujtahida: If FIFA rankings vis - a- vis the draws for the World Cup is your fear regarding the timing of the Argentina match then you need not fear. It is the October rankings - we are 41 - that would be used for the draws. No time is the best than the present time. Nobody can guarantee tomorrow cos the schedule next year will be tight and Argentina would be sought after by more competitive countries like Germany, Spain, France etc. |

Gotcha! O pari kingphilip: the draws would be made with the October ranking
so as it stands now, the friendly isn't going to affect the ranking to be used for the draws unless you're talking about Qatar 2022 |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Icon79(m): 3:40pm On Oct 30, 2017 |
Thanks for the clarifications, boss. If so, then I am fine with playing the Argies and the other top teams immediately so we can start working on our weak links. My major concerns was the FIFA ranking but if it isn't gonna be used for the World Cup seeding then it's all good. O pari Icon4s: No, you are not crazy.
Firstly, the October rankings would be used for the World cup draws. The November games i e Algeria and Argentina would be used for November rankings which will not be considered by FIFA for the draws
Secondly, nothing wrong with playing Argentina now. That game would possibly expose a lot of our weaknesses early enough so we start early enough to correct them from the AFCON qualifiers and other friendly(ies) early next year. |

And by the way, am I the only one who thinks that this Argentine friendly isn't such a great idea at this time? Right now, I think we should be playing only the friendlies that we're most likely to win, so we can accumulate as much FIFA ranking points as we could before the final world cup draws are made. If that's the case then matches against the likes of Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Belgium, Spain, France, etc. ought to come later in our preparations - after the final draws are made. Someone please tell me that I am not crazy! O pari Icon4s: I can't believe this. |

why invite Samuel and leave kayode? |

Bro, I think more people need to speak up about that blatant double standard they play on this forum: Anybody can post on Christian threads, but to post on a muslim thread they would try to make you swear allegiance to Muhammad! They need to change that requirement or else they should make everyone agree to this before posting on a Christian thread: Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.O pari 9japrof: Modified

Omo, what exploits are you talking about exactly? How many goals has Kayode scored this season? How many games has even started for Girona? I watched him closely yesterday and I can't for the life of me see anything special about his game. He was a 80th minute substitute or so, and tried very hard to get into the game. But all I could see for the 15 mins he played was all hustles and nothing else. He's way behind Kelechi and Jude Ighalo in the pecking order. O pari forgiveness: I have foreseen that Rohr never wanted Kayode in the first place despite his exploit and I noticed that he is trying very hard not to play him because I don't understand why he never started him over two friendlies.
If he really wanted to see his ability he would have allowed him to start in one those friendlies but he rather played him 10 - 20 minutes to the end of the games.
He must give equal chances to these players called. Nobody should hide under the success of the team without playing a single match before going to the world cup. |

Exactly! All in all, I think Isaac's major problem is attitude. He had disciplinary issues but in La Liga and at Watford. I don't know what's wrong with that kid. And by the way, Girona beat Real Madrid 2-1. It would've been 4-1 sef because Girona hits the bar twice, with the goalkeeper well beaten on each occasion. CR7 had a horrible game and even had the audacity to whine and yell at his team mates. Whomever voted that dude the best player in the world needs to have his head examined! O pari Joebie:
oya forgiveness. I remember Isaac Success had a good game against Real Madrid. Going to the EPL was a bad bad move. By now that guy for don be one of the full fledged members of SE I think. |

That's good news. I am surprise that Rohr didn't start him ahead of Echiejile against Zambia. Rohr strikes me as someone who doesn't like to experiment much. I think he's someone who would always stick with the winning team, come rain some shine. O pari Joebie: Well I'm basing my opinion from the little I've seen and also considering he played as LB more than any other position in the 2016/17 season. He played as a left back for a considerable number of minutes just as he did against Zambia in the Premier league that season. He clocked 90 minutes as a LB in the EFL trophy and also a couple Premier League 2 games. |

Obviously, there are too many Harry Kane fans here. So this is an argument that I can't win However, I would caution you guys not to get carried away by the hype especially coming from English pundits. And by the way, I wasn't trying to imply that Kane isn't a good player. Like I stated earlier, he's a pretty good player but any comparisons with Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is delusional. And I don't see him reaching that level either .... because I don't see how/where else he can still improve. I think he has maximized his talent and even beyond sef. Yea, that why I called Mauricio Poch the best coach in the world at the moment. He can get a bunch of average players and get them to play even above their potentials. He's an amazing coach; the Argies tried everything to get him to manage their national team but he didn't want anything to do with the Argentine FA. O pari komekn: The statistics are not made up for two seasons he has been numero 1, where goals are concerned. He may be selfish but he is clinical in front of goal.
You may not want to call him world class but tell me who is clearly better than him. Once you take out Ronaldo and Messi.
Give credit where credit is due the dude is a baller.
By the way that's what was said about Gareth Bale going to Real Madrid. Well the rest is history he is holding his own and competing with the best. |

Yea, I think so too. However, I would like to see him play LB in a full game before I can make that call. Anybody can play well, in any position, for 10-15 mins, you know. Let's hope that Rohr gives him a start at LB against Algeria in two weeks. O pari MetalJigsaw: It's unfortunate that we don't have a tested and trusted replacement for Echijiejile at the moment. I wish Aina plays in Echiejile's position. But I think Aina did well when he came in for Echiejile against Zambia or what do you think? |
