I happened to watch the CHAN Super Eagles last game and, based on that performance alone, Ezenwa is 10x better than Akpeyi. It's not even close. To me, Akpeyi's "little knock" is a blessing in disguise. However, I still can't understand why Emmanuel Daniel is still being overlooked. O pari Nigerdeltaboi: Rohr: Ezenwa will start on Friday. He had two good performances with the CHAN team and we are happy Akpeyi is injured |

Prrrraaaaaaiiiiiissssssseeeeeee God!!! Amen and amen!!! Trust me, Ikechukwu Ezenwa is head and shoulders better than Daniel Akpeyi. Don't get me wrong, neither one of them is good enough but, between the two, I would take Ezenwa any day. At least, unlike Akpeyi, Ezenwa has the basic fundamentals of being a goalkeeper, commands some level of control over his area and doesn't flap his crosses. I think the only reason Akpeyi is often preferred is because of his height advantage. Anyway, if this is true, then there's hope on Friday. O pari Danielnino00: Icon79 the Lord has answered your prayers oo.. Akpeyi is out.
Oya pray make we win too .
On a serious note,Ezenwa gives me more worries than Akpeyi |

I wrote off Enyeama when he refused to call off his retirement despite our goalkeeping crisis. Yes, Oliseh f-ed up big time but, hey, Oliseh is no longer in charge now. And the man in charge has extended an olive branch to Enyeama on a few occasions only for him to turn him down. A true patriot would have come out of retirement, even if it's only for these particular two games, for two reasons: 1. Our world cup chances practically depend on these two games. 2. We've got serious crisis in the goalkeeping department. But what did Enyeama do, he stuck to his guns In fact, I would hold him responsible if we fail to qualify! O pari donbenie: You should direct your anger at Oliseh for his insulting and embarrassing treatment of Enyeama..HE is the ONE who is a DISAPPOINTMENT!!. Enyeama remains a NATIONAL HERO and DESERVES to be CELEBRATED for his CONTRIBUTIONS to Nigeria and choosing to call it a day on the Super Eagles does not in ANYWAY diminish his ACHIEVEMENTS.. NO one but No one has put on the Green White Green with more pride and dedication than ENYEAMA.. |

The Nigeria Football Federation, like their Cameroonian counterparts, are expecting only one player to join the national team ahead of their first training session on Tuesday evening.
Five players in the shape of Hapoel Beer Sheva duo Anthony Nwakaeme and John Ogu, CSKA Moscow striker Aaron Samuel, Gent star Moses Simon and Standard Liege midfielder Uche Agbo were sighted at the Le Meridien Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort this afternoon.
Anorthosis defender Abdullahi Shehu, who was in action for his Cypriot club on Sunday night, has not yet linked up with his international teammates.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles pre-match press parley holds at the Le Meridien, Uyo on Wednesday from 1115 hours.

Thank you, my brother! Not that it matters but I am amazed of how many people here who included Akpeyi in their starting line up. I have watched Akpeyi several times and he has no business even being invited to the Super Eagles. He lacks even the basic goalkeeping skills and always looks scared in goal. Hopefully, the new goalkeeping coach would realize that Ezenwa is far better than him. O pari robosky02: if you ask me

I believe that both Leon Balogun and Simeon Moses are in camp also. I am actually surprised that bench warmers like John Ogu, Anthony Nwakaeme, Aaron Samuel, and Ache Agbo are taking their sweet time reporting to camp O pari josephine123: Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel, is among the 16 players that have reported to the team’s camp in Uyo, ahead of Friday’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Cameroon.
Others include Ogenyi Onazi, Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Dele Alampasu, Ola Aina, Mikel Agu and Ahmed Musa.
Odion Ighalo, Tyronne Ebuehi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Elderson Echiejile, Chidozie Awaziem, Kelechi Iheanacho, William Troost-Ekong, and Wilfred Ndidi have also arrived.
The players still expected are Victor Moses, John Ogu, Anthony Nwakaeme, Leon Balogun, Aaron Samuel, Uche Agbo and Moses Simon.
Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi will miss both legs of the qualifiers due to injury.
The Eagles will hold an open training on Tuesday, while the sessions for Wednesday and Thursday will be behind closed doors.
