The transfer market is going crazy this season. He isn't the only one either!

Like I said on twitter, Dembele's transfer fee is a fraud that needs to be investigated. Think about the amount being mentioned on Coutinho!
Makes me to ask, where's the so called UEFA fair play rule?

O pari

Icon4s:
He is not worth up to 1/5 of that amount paid on his head.

Any way thanks to Chelsea.

Good riddance.

Calling all the Prayers Warriors in this forum, please pray that Akpeyi would not start the game on Friday or even in the return leg match.
I watched Ikechukwu Ezenwa for the CHAN Super Eagles team and he's much better than Akpeyi.

BeIn 4? I am not sure we have that channel in my area, definitely not on TV anyway.

And I definitely need to watch the game. As a matter of fact, I have already scheduled to leave work early on Friday. Bummer!

I just checked. BeIN will show the game on beIN 4.
RomanceRe: “She Doesn’t Deserve You If She Doesn’t Pay You Allowance” – Female Twitter User by Icon79(m):
Actually, it's only in Nigeria that the Boyfriend Allowance is not in vogue. I have dated women from several other nationalities: Togolese, Jamaican, Colombian, Russian, Israeli, Korean, Chinese, Senegalese, Australian, and Americans (black, white, and Latino) and they have always offered some kinda pecks to keep the relationship going. It's only when I dated a Nigerian that she only expected to receive and receive and receive without giving anything back!

Oh, I see. And it's funny because this game isn't even being carried by BeinSport ... unless they change their line up within the week. For now, I have seen most of the other African qualifiers, including the Algerian/Zambian game but the Super Eagles match isn't there.

O pari

PDPGuy:
It was FIFA that moved the game to Friday for "TV broadcast reasons".

Besides playing this game in Uyo, I think the other silly decision by the match organizers is to play the game on Friday. They should have rescheduled this game to Sunday, if Saturday isn't gonna work. I am not crazy about this Friday kickoff time. For one, it takes away one training day for the Super Eagles.

I can't understand why this game isn't gonna be played on Saturday and Tuesday, or Sunday and Wednesday.

I have been a very big PMB supporter but, now, I think that he's simply too sick to continue in the office.

I just don't like them playing this game in Uyo. As usual, all the professional prostitutes in town would invade their hotel rooms and drain the players of energy before the game even started. That's why the Super Eagles rarely play well in Uyo.

We'll be fine as long as Gernot Rohr doesn't put Daniel Akpeyi in goal. Without a doubt, Ikechukwu Ezenwa had demonstrated that he's better than Akpeyi. Gosh, even my grandma can do better than Akpeyi self.

The govt should not be involved in such ventures in the first place. Make the money available to farmers in form of loans. They would take the loans, invest, and then repay the govt. And if they fail to repay then you hold them accountable.

The governments in Nigeria tend to dabble into everything. It affords them opportunity to steal money.

Or even Bali Indonesia, where a 5 star hotel averages for $100/night!

What breaks my heart is that the talents are there but we're so disorganized and can't get our acts together. When I came to Nigeria early this year, I visited the Nsukka campus of the University of Nigeria and was able to catch their school team. Boy, I can tell you that they have some really good players. But do we have any coaches going to monitor those guys? Nope! They are all staying in Abuja or flying overseas collecting "estacodes" or whatever da heck they call it.

Nigeria, is definitely a failed state but that's only because of our leaders.

Now we have started talking. Even in football, is it not past glory? And that's the only sport we have put all our effort on.. Athletics have long been lost. Are we even seeing how the South Africans are performing in other sports? And we dey claim Giant of Africa.. Let's start being real and start tackling our issues.. instead of lying to ourselves.

My brother, you hit the nail squarely on the head!

Nigeria seems to the only country on the planet that is retrogressing rather than progressing. I am currently watching the IAAF World Championships in London and it breaks my heart to realize that Nigeria is no longer a force to be reckoned with in track and field events any more. Nigeria used to be amongst the world's best in the sprint events (100, 200, 400 men and women) and even in the Long and Triple Jumps. What happened to sports in Nigeria? Do they even still have the NUGA games and the Poly Games any more? Can you tell me what a country with almost 300 million people can not discover a few world class sprinters? Whereas Jamaica with about 2 million people present some of the best sprinters on the planet!

Nigeria is a very lazy country where people, especially those in the govt., expect to reap where they did not sow. I have asked your Minister of Sports several times, on twitter, to tell me how he plans to revive athletics in Nigeria! But what we hear from him is that you don't need training to win laurels in the Olympic games. Can you believe that manhuh

Nigeria, we hail thee ....

O pari

Joebie:
Oga, my brother. South African University football is shown on Supersports. Are we still living in the stone age?
Our coaches are lazy. You are very correct. But that's not the real problem.

Modified
American football is arguably the number one sports in the United States. This is a country that almost always end up first in the olympics.
Ask any typical american what their favorite football team is. They will give you two teams. A college football team, and a national football team. Why? Their system is so organized that before a talented footballer graduates from high school they have already gotten university scholarship. The university football league is shown on TV.. it's as huge as the National Football League. Today, we have South Africa doing something very similar with their football at the university level, and someone is surprised they came to Nigeria to beat us.

Are we still living in caves? Just as many Nigerians still strive to go abroad because of the bad system here, we will continue to try to cap foreign based players because of our poor football development that does not guarantee the availability of stars. So whether we are 500 million in the country or not, the truth remains we cannot churn out stars regularly from the home front. The earlier we accept these facts the better for us. Our anger and sentiments is misdirected. Onuoha is just one individual. We have way bigger problems. We can claim to be talented, but still there is little evidence.

Rohr: Nigeria's Balogun fit to face Cameroon

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr

by Austin Ditlhobolo

Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr is pleased to see Leon Balogun regain his full fitness ahead of two clashes with their rivals Cameroon.

The two West African nations will clash in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers which will take place in Uyo, Nigeria on 31 August 2017 and Yaounde, Cameroon on 4 September 2017.

German tactician Rohr has also revealed that Nigeria and 1.FSV Mainz 05 defender Balogun has regained his full fitness.

“Balogun is also fit," Rohr told Own Goal Nigeria.

The 64-year-old coach also explained that frontman Odion Ighalo, who is on the books of Chinese club Changchun Yatai, could be called up.

"He is experienced and we have also some strikers with a little more experience, Odion Ighalo also not only him," he added.

"There are also other ones. So I think in the next week we will monitor all of them to be sure, we can take the best ones for these big games against Cameroon."

Nigeria and Cameroon are in Group B along with Zambia and Algeria. Only the group winners will secure their place in the finals.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are sitting at the top of group table with six points with four games left, while second-placed Cameroon have two points.
