TravelRe: A-29 Super Tucano Aircraft For Nigeria Marks First Flight In Florida by idtwo: 9:23pm On Apr 20, 2020
It is easy to reel out the names of modern aircrafts you have heard of or read about, but do you know how much those things you mentioned are sold for and do you think they are sold to just anybody or any country that wants them? You don't seem to know about sales of defense equipment.

MansoryMX:
Are you fuckkking kidding me! You know nothing about fighter jet. Do you know what;

Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor. Origin: United States.

Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II. Origin: United States. ...

Sukhoi Su-57. Origin: Russia. ...

Chengdu J-20. Origin: China. ...

Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. Origin: United States. ...

Sukhoi Su-35. Origin: Russia. ...

Eurofighter Typhoon. Only 3 of any of these can wipe out the entire Nigeria military, so shut up abeg.

TravelRe: A-29 Super Tucano Aircraft For Nigeria Marks First Flight In Florida by idtwo: 9:12pm On Apr 20, 2020
Some comments here on this issue are unnecessarily nasty.
Yes it is not F 22 or F35 or anything ultramodern or a stealth aircraft BUT for our regional warfare, it is good enough to get the job done.
It is easy to forget that countries that spend so much on defense stuff like stealth airplanes are not in Nigeria's league, they are very rich nations. Nigeria may be big compared to other Africa nations but our foreign reserve for instance is less than half of the wealth of the richest individual on earth - just one person o.
So we need to comment sensibly. The Tucano is a welcome development no matter how small it is, it puts us in a different league in Africa at least. Let's not be foolishly sarcastic. We aren't planning on fighting US or Russia, we just want to Ridenour country of terrorists.

You amuse me sir. You are hinging your argument on the words of a politician, who may wake up tomorrow to say he was misquoted or to even say something else entirely. You talk as if you are a stranger in this country where absurdities happen without the authorities batting an eyelid. Let's wait for full disclosure after investigation if there will be any. Don't bet on it.

HealthRe: COVID-19: Chinese Doctors To Arrive Nigeria Today, To Spend One Month by idtwo: 2:35pm On Apr 08, 2020
Some things are not just right. This is a matter of national pride. Why should doctors come from China to treat or attend to staff of a Chinese company in Nigeria? Is it that our doctors are not good enough for them? If they don't want Nigerian doctors, they should fly their staff out of the country for treatment. You don't just enter a country where you are not licensed and start practicing medicine even if you are a professor of medicine in your own country. Nigerians can't just enter China and start treating people there even if the patients are other Nigerians. We should stop belittling our professionals in this country. It is a shame to think that the health minister, himself a senior doctor, allowed this. The Chinese are doing to us what they will never allow n their own country. I suspect they just want to investigate covertly/secretly why the covid-19 plague has not had much impact here.
As regards donation of items, nobody needs to come from China to do this. Their ambassador can do the presentation. And they should stop regaling us with the 'tons' of equity are bringing. We should just be diligent enough to check these items and be sure they are germ free. Trust the Chinese at your own peril.
Lord, pls give us wise leaders.

Foreign AffairsRe: How President Idris Deby Turned Up To Lead offensive Against Boko Haram by idtwo: 4:43pm On Apr 05, 2020
I disagree with you sir.
Boko haram does not need to take over any town. Their ability to attack the military super camps at will, kill soldiers and take over their weapons enough to tell you that these people aren't decimated. Boko haram treats our military as 'soft targets', imagine!
We can't keep burying our heads in the sand and not call out our leaders for falling. The military boys sacrifice is deeply appreciated and commended but we do want our soldiers to keep dying for their country Instead, we want our soldiers to make the boko haram guys DIE for their beliefs. Is that too much to ask after 10years of fighting?

[1quote author=JAMO84 post=88119075] Nigerian army had conducted thousands of military operations against boko haram and they are still there doing their best to keep our Country safe.

If Buhari had to turn up for every single operations to boost morale, would he have time to do any other thing?

You people are not willing to give the Nigerian army all the praise they deserve, but I appreciate their commitments and dedications.

Boko haram hasn't been able to successfully attack any major Nigerian city since Buhari became President. They can only attack villages with less than 500 inhabitants and also lay ambush for soldiers traveling through some highways.

Whether anyone is willing to agree or not, Buhari's government has decimated BH to a large extent and the people of the North East recognized that fact, reason why they turned out in large numbers to re elect him for a second term.

I AM DONE TALKING
HealthRe: COVID-19: Garba Abari Says Chinese Experts Coming To Share Experince Only by idtwo: 4:37pm On Apr 04, 2020
I don't quite agree with your view sir.
If you think the Chinese are being generous and good to us, pls think again. It's all expansionist strategy on their part, subtle, different from what europe earlier did to Africa through use of force but this is a strategy to enslave us in debts.
China has cheap money that she is not using so it makes sense for them to keep financing all sort of projects in Africa even those ones they know our leaders didn't think out well. How else do you cripple a man than get him heavily indebted to you?
Apart from the money they borrow us for projects their own companies are awarded, carried out with their own people and materials sourced from their own country, what else does the Chinese do for us?
There is really no benevolent act of China I can point to, it's all with the aim of expanding their influence, control and power.
Before t he outbreak of covid-19, we have seen Europe and America undertake various giant health intervention in Africa for many years--. Polio vaccination, Hiv/Aids intervention, TB intervention etc. What do the Chinese do in Africa despite them being our main trading partners? They encourage our leaders to take 'cheap' loans they know we won't be able to repay easily in several generations.
No sir, the Chinese are not our friends. They have never been.

Olominira:
You guys should relax.....pls!

Western media has made everything non_western evil. We need to sit down and look at it logically.

Nigeria has been struggling to fight BH for decade, US has never shown any genuine support, infact, at a time they're were technically supporting BH by blocking every opportunity to access weapons. Whereas, the same US has been building sophisticated millitary bases all over Africa with several billions of dollars even all over islands in Africa. In a continent struggling to provide as basic thing as clean water, road, edu, etc. In term of infrastructural development, US hasnt built anything tangible anywhere in Africa despite her big economy and influence.

On the other hand, China is building projects across Africa from electricity to train to Airport, roads, scholarships to Africans, etc even with their own money. Let's say we can't pay and they take over them, who would still be using those infrastructure, Chinese? At least they brought them here, so if we can't pay back and they take over them these things would still be in use by Africans and improve quality of life, just like every private business.

US/Trump that everyone is supporting call Africans all kinds to unprintable names, visa ban, reporting weak sides of African nations and continuously ridiculing everything we do. The list is long. China hasnt done any of these yet, western media still find their ways into the hearts of Africans to hate Chinese. Sadly, enough some fake pastors joined this brainwashed citizens.

Look at China, how many times have they tumbled African govt? How many nations have China invaded in Africa? How many times has Chinese embassy criticize our local affairs? Etc

New York started have underground train in 1809, that's 200yrs, they never extended such to Africa. China started booming just 20yrs ago and they've extended everything technology they have to us, that have improved our lives; From phones, train, Good Airport, Naval ship, Telecom, Roads, scholarships, etc
Africans must sitdown and think. China is not your enemy.

So oga Mr IQ & brain drain, the number of doctors we have in this country cannot effectively manage 200+ covid-19 cases? I thought you have sense? But I was mistaken.

AfroKnight:
You should ask your grandfather.

I mean! How could any anyone with even the wits of a preteen miss my point?

Honestly, it takes a special kind of stûpid for you interpret my comment as dismissive of the great work done by Nigerian health workers. I actually implied that we are understaffed due to brain drain and need all the help we can get, especially from those who have dealt with this pandemic far longer than we have.

Quit reasoning like someone with a double-digit IQ. If your father failed to help your intellect, you should strive to be better yourself. Why? Cos at the moment, with what you have written, the apple doesn’t fall from the tree. He cannot help you with the handicap you both share.

Why are some Nigerians deliberately foolish?

Chinese doctors arrived in the U.K. a few days ago to assist them too.

Bro, Chinese doctors have worked with infected patients longer than others. They managed the situation and their country is free of the virus today. They obviously know what their jobs.

And we need help. Too many of our doctors have emigrated.

Thank you Femi Maduka. It should be clear to any discerning mind here that most of these people complaining about tithes and offerings hardly go to church and when they do, hardly contribute any offering or tithe. Despite their non-giving attitude, they are puzzled that the church is making progress. They are of the spirit of the Antichrist. None is forced to give and none is levied or ask to give beyond what he can afford. Wasteful spending and corruption should be discouraged & punished in the church but only the devil or his hirelings will ask you not to give to God's cause.
The lines are getting blurry. What are people fighting against?
1. Collection of Tithes and Offering?
2. Financial misappropriation within the church?
3. The Church?

The direction and tone of criticism seem to suggest that people are just mad that churches exist. And this is a curious reality.

Right from the early times, in the days of pioneer Christians like Peter, Phillip, the Ethiopian, Paul etc., the church (congregation of brethren) has always been run on benevolent donation from the brethren. Paul of Tarsus, in his numerous episcopal journeys, not only got donations from the brethren, he also got free lodgings and provisioning. He spoke of these in his epistles. So why should the formula change today? And to what? I know that Christians have to enforce prudence and accountability within the church, but we can not continue to throw flaks all over the place blindly.

There are a lot of ills in the church today that a more thorough education and a better living standard would eradicate. No doubt.

I am 100% against financial impropriety, but people need to understand that churches will continue to run on the charity of its members. People should pick a sustainable fight and cut this one loose.

It is the height of foolishness and officiousness to go on a campaign of condemnation against a church just on the basis that it takes benevolent donations (tithes and offerings) from its members. Every church does, and has always. We might be dealing with an agenda here.
Peachtree, I doff my hat. Your line of argument and reasoning on this topic has been very good and insightful. It is refreshing to read intelligent deductions and inferences that you brought up. Well done sir. Africa(blacks) are indeed blessed, as other races are, just poor management and selfishness has been our albatross. However you look at it, you cannot but conclude that there is a divine hand that has shielded Africa, especially Nigeria from this ravaging scourge. We are quite selfish, have poor hygiene practices and live in horribly dirty environment. The virus would have made a mincemeat of us but for God's grace and mercy. Thank you Jesus. Even Tetfund have a lot of questions to answer. Why make Dubai the venue for the workshop? That in itself is suggestive of corruption. What do you want to demonstrate in a workshop that can't be done in Nigeria? At least in the mega hotels or conference sites. The Dubai venue is just an opportunity to waste funds and collect estacode. We keep fooling ourselves.

I observe that the qualification for detective cadre is secondary school certificate. This is too low for a technical job like investigating financial crime. RomanceRe: She Keeps Insisting On Having Sex Without Protection by idtwo: 7:58am On Nov 21, 2019
Benclever1:
Hello everyone.

So I met this girl through a mutual friend and we started bonding. Initially, I didn't take the friendship seriously because this lady is a little older than me and I do not see any future between us.

Now, things got more intense between us. She visited me one time, one thing leading to another, we were in bed, about to have sex and then I pulled out the condom but she refused, insisting that she doesn't enjoy sex with condom. I was very surprised to hear that, so I tried to make her see reasons why the condom is very necessary. She adamantly refused. We ended up not having the sex that day.

Just last week she visited again and we spent the night together. We tried to have sex again but the same issue came up again. She insisted I must not used condom. Now this got me upset. During the conversation that ensued, she made it very clear to me that she does not have any STD/STI so I should not be afraid. She however admitted that she was ovulating and that the chances of getting her pregnant was high, but that I should not worry that she'd take care of herself and the pregnancy, if it happens. She said that she would not force me to get involved with the baby if I don't want. However, she made very clear that she's not ready to get married. This got me confused.

I don't want to let my guards down by indulging in unprotected sex with someone I don't trust. I also do not want to hurt her feelings. So I plan to take her for medical tests next week and then we can kick it off from there.

What's your advise for me.

Thank you.
