I just got ITA today...Thank God! But I also just put to bed last week. How do I go about adding my newborn? Considering the long time to obtain passport in Nigeria. My husband and I have done out upfront Medicals before now also.

First is to send a webform alerting ircc of an addition to your family, next get a passport of your baby (fast track it please, bribe as much as you can to get it out fast) den do medical for your baby a den last and most importantly increase your POF to reflect family of 3. Hope these helps.
Pof for family of 3 is $21,055 that's about N12.2m so just put N12.5m to be on a safe side.

So this topic has to be explored because I know many people personally under this category. Now I don’t know about other countries but let’s focus on the UK for this topic.

I know that unless you are extremely lucky it is going to take you between 10 to 15 years to fully settle in terms of papers and money and career and housing etc. in between that time you are running from pillar to post and the silent prayer is that God please don’t let my mother or father fall sick within this 10 to 15 year timespan or else I am most likely never going to see them again.

Well I have many friends and relatives who this happened to. In that time span that they are still unsettled and looking for paper or money, mama get cancer for naija. They are stuck abroad. Mama eventually die. So they never got to see their mother for over 10 years and will never see her again.

So I guess the question is if you find yourself in a situation like this, being in the UK for over 8 years and papers never correct so you are stuck, then you hear that your mother is dying.

WHAT DO YOU DO? DO YOU ABORT MISSION AND RETURN BACK TO NIGERIA TO BE WITH YOUR DYING MOTHER KNOWING YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO RETURN TO THE UK AGAIN OR DO YOU JUST FASHI MAMA AND LET HER DIE WHILE YOU CoNTINUE YOUR QUEST TO LOOK FOR PAPERS AND POUNDS ? What would you do?

**Unexpected event. Received an email update on 11th July and rushed to gckey hoping to see counterfoil; lo and behold, it was an ADR for passport photographs. Apparently my photos got missing somewhere between vfs and ircc (up till now I still don't understand how this happened). Contacted vfs to find out how my photos got missing and what i should do next; they provided zero explanations and the CS rep I spoke with said they don't accept any submission(s) apart from international passports. I was so confused and perplexed at this point. I searched and searched online hoping to see info from anyone who had experienced something similar; thankfully i found a nairaland post of someone who went through the exact same thing last year. Long story short, I later sent my photos directly to ircc via DHL.**

Good evening all, please I submitted my ITA on the 28/04/23 n used oanda n xe rate to calculate mt pof for a family of 3 which was 20371cad at #340 to 1cad,= #6,926,140 but used #8m at d rate of #392 to 1cad, but later increased it to 12.5m because of exchange rate fluctuations,
Done medicals n biometric n After waiting without response, I apply for gcms notes where I saw in that my case officer said my initial pof ws insufficient.
Pls I need your advice on what to do next.

Am currently a Branch manager of one of the biggest indigenous retail company (supermarket) in the country. Some group of Indian investor bought over my company... And I was transferred to Abakaliki to open our new branch. my relationship with the new owners I won't lie, is great..
My net monthly salary now is 110k, I have an official car and I live in the company's quarters.
There's no hope for salary increment. In the next 10 years am not sure of getting to 200k. My fiancee is in pH, and we are hoping to get married by next year.. this places a lot of demand to increase my income so I can afford to take care of my family.

However, I have an offer with another retail company in pH with salary of 200k. The company has promised and increment upon my confirmation. I went for the interview yesterday.. when they saw my experience and everything in my CV they became anxious to bring me in... So they asked how much am expecting I told them 200-250k and they settle at 200k. Right they, the chairman asked HR to give me offer letter and that I should start with immediate effect. My pain now is that,
First ; according to the HR their budget for the position was 300k.. now I've short change my self.. I feel so bad.

I have a question though, my wife changed the name on her passport post AOR, but the name on the PPR is still her maiden name, hope it doesn't matter? The ppr carries the passport number on the new passport though.
